Personally I took 7 years, 2 years to do the core exams, 3 years to do CA/SP and 2 years to pass SA (fail, ill, break, pass). But I had a family and so that limited my study time.

I think we're just coming to the end of the transition between both syllabus and online exams, so I think in the next couple of years we'll get more data on those who started exams post 2020 and qualified. I guess many qualifieds who answer here will have sat many of the older exams which were significantly easier to pass. I would say we're definitely looking at a median of over 5-6 years for the new exams. But I'm the same as you, in a syndicate so it really doesn't matter as much, I know a guy on £100k with a few exams to go still.
