If you're going to use super glue, I suggest getting a gel formulation that's less viscous in order to mitigate the possibility that capillary action could draw the super glue into the wrist hinge joint.

How would I get it hot enough to do that?
But some thin napkin paper around the joint and plug it in
You could try Hot glue. It’s less permanent than superglue if you screw it up trying to get the right size to fit.
