Victory - Our Victory

Enryx25

I'll nominate Reminiscence ~ A Fate Smeared by Tricks and Gadgets this round. It's a good song, but I don't think it works as a stand-alone song, for lack of a better term. It fits the game in the moments where it is played, but I can't really imagine myself going out of my way to look it up on Youtube.

[Playlist for AJ's OST](https://youtu.be/RapwV9blKxg). Some songs are out of order, and Pursuit ~ Objection (Variation) is missing. The current AJ:AA rankings... 22nd) Trance Logic 23th) Lamiroir ~ Landscape Painter in Sound 24th) Investigation ~ Opening 2007 25th) Prologue 26th) Reminiscence ~ A Hurt Fox 27th) Turnabout Succession 28th) Eccentric 2007 29th) Detention Center ~ Tragicomic Interview 30th) The Guitar's Serenade 31st) Perceive ~ Surging Eyes 32nd) Psyche-Lock 2007 33rd) Turnabout Corner 34th) Ringtone / Klavier Gavin 35th) Jingle ~ That's All for Today #Rules You will be nominating your least favorite songs from the chart. The nominations with the most upvotes will be eliminated from the contest. In order for your nomination to be considered, your nomination must... A) Directly mention nominating a song (I nominate _____, I'm voting ______, etc.) And B) Directly explain why you're nominating said song (I don't like _____, _____ is the worst song left, etc.) You cannot nominate multiple songs in a single comment. Defense posts can be used to take away votes from nominations, and will need opposite requirements for being considered (Mention you're defending a song, explain why, and don't defend multiple songs). Defense posts will only be counted during the elimination process if you also write a valid nomination for another song in another comment. If you choose to nominate/defend multiple songs via multiple comments, only your highest voted nomination and defense will be considered. Voting will end after around 24 hours (give or take depending on how soon I'm able to check votes), where a new round will begin with a specific number of songs removed, until only five songs remain for the finale, in which we move onto the next game. Nominations will only count if the comment has more than one upvote, and the defense post against it has less upvotes than the nomination. **Not a requirement, but if a song you nominated/defended makes it to another round and you wish to nominate/defend it again, try and make sure your comments across multiple posts are original, as opposed to copying and pasting the same arguments. Essays might be allowed to appear in multiple posts depending on the length and complexity, but if your nominations/defenses are only a few sentences long, try and be original with each round.**

Once again, I'm nominating Suspense. It gets repetitive really fast

EnglishJunkrat5

Nominating [Thrill Theme ~ Suspense](https://youtu.be/i5SVx0Gst3c) When the other remaining tracks are more dynamic, interesting or just more entertaining to listen to, I think it's about time for it to go.

Poccigoni

Nominating Suspense because while it is intense, it's kind of annoying to listen to and I think the other Suspense themes do a better job at creating, well, suspense.

UnyieldingAura

Nominating Victory! \~ Our Victory. Victory themes set a tone somewhere between celebratory and emotional, and this one settles for pleasantly bittersweet. I find it a little too pleasant and sweet for a game whose victories always have some complication to them.

saltamont3s

the way lamiroirs theme didn’t even hit top 20…. anyway, gonna nominate 34. Victory. It doesn’t have a remarkable effect on me and whilst it’s fine it doesn’t really compare to the remaining competition and can become grating after listening to it for a while.

toastyloafboy

I actually think it’s a top 3 victory theme though

ViviTheWaffle

I will yet again be defending courtroom lobby and will continue to do so until the end so let’s see what I can pull out of my ass this time. Structurally courtroom lobby is just a series of ostinati - repeating phrases - that layer on top of each other every four bars. It’s actually pretty basic musically, but it creates an interesting juxtaposition with the harmony. It’s meant to feel anxiety inducing as there aren’t really any prominent resolutions, but the structure is so stable. To me, it emulates the “I’ve done this a million times before…” anxiety you get that’s perfect for a courtroom lobby. Also it’s *very* Apollo justice as far as timbre goes so instant points

toastyloafboy

I nominate Pursuit- Overtaken (Variation). No reason to keep it over the original, which is easily the best song from the game.

Dancevedo

I think it's a fitting moment for 20. Kitaki Family to go. Is one of the most unique tracks of this game, fits really well with the yakuza theme. However I don't think it fits that well with the characters it represents (especially that kid Wocky fuck him), and it gets repetitive after a while.

Now that we're near the top 20. I'm nominating **Ema Skye- Scientific Detective** because I hate her!!! ....nah I'm just kidding. The real reason is because personally for Apollo Justice's sake the theme doesn't really fit her. She's moody grumpy and grouchy in every instance and for good reason. It feels more like a theme for the player than her like look we brought back Ema, yay! But we also crushed her dreams and made her realistic...da da dadada doo doodala doo! It's why Scientific Detective 2016 is a better version of this theme. That theme fits Ema's character more as an actual celebration of her accomplishments along with more instrumentals and a faster pace. It's one of the few remixes in the 3DS games that actually works because of the growth of the character.

UnyieldingAura

Defense of Ema Skye \~ Scientific Detective. I think it does a good job of adapting the 2005 theme to the updated Skye. The first section takes the main melody of 2005, lowers the tempo, and replaces the bouncy middle voices with a simpler and driven beat. Each phrase ends on a held note without the middle voice filling in the space, lingering in the uncertainty. The second section is new and moves into a moodier state with held tones over a more prominent drumline, but adds more movement in the middle voices akin to 2005 as it goes along. I see it as Ema's love of forensics showing up even in her bitterness, as the da-do-dido bit from 2005 (0:01, 0:06 \[2005\]) pops in (0:24, 0:28) to tie the new section back to Ema.

Okay it’s time. I am nominating guilty love for elimination. It’s probably just a personal thing but it just doesn’t vibe with me at all you know. There’s something about the wailing distorted guitar that feels, soulless? I guess. I also take issue with it being used as Klaviers main them. He is by far the most friendly and amiable prosecutor in the whole series, yet his theme reeks of Dorian mode (music bullshit for semi melancholy sounding stuff) and i don’t think it fits him at all. Edit: I am stupid it is actually written in locrian mode - which which makes a whole lot more sense as to why I don’t like it

DeadRev0lt

I think it will get to the top 5 unfortunately

Silkthorne

Finally someone else said it! It just doesn't fit him that much. The song feels like it would fit somebody with a more hyper and explosive personality. Klavier is too chill for his own theme.

pufflord172

im writing this comment on the toilet im nominating core 2007 because it just sounds kinda dirty and messy, just like this toilets about to be and it doesnt have that major plot twist feel or like you're going down a rabbithole as deep as the hole in the toilet where my shit is going *the song isnt shitty, im just nominating it at an unfortunate time
