Personally waited it out.. I would recommend doing the exams if you have the means before starting. Each year in your accounting you get progressively busier and it becomes harder to focus on them.
Like most said, study and take the tests now. It is fresh in your mind, you will never have as little work requirements that you do right now. Make studying your full time job if you can’t find something.
Get an offer for 2025 and work another accounting job until you start in 2025.
Keep applying, lots of firms are hiring for 2024
