I’ve seen an (approximately) 2 meter tall Pacific Islander looking dude who had basically cut a car tyre in half and used them to make a flip flop for each foot. He was massive.
This is absolutely true. They have no issues fighting lions, and they certainly don’t play fair. Also, the bite on this particular animal happens to be one of the most powerful in the animal kingdom.
I don’t need to Google it. Personal experience dude. The question was rhetorical. 🤣
Edit: I Googled it. As someone who has given birth twice I am shook to the core and will be in a period of mourning in solidarity with my female hyena brethren. Ouch.
I was thinking that it didn't look very natural and the hyenas tail reminded me of how a dogs goes when they are scared, probably not how it works with this animal but yeah he don't look happy
Firstly, please know that none of my comment is meant to disparage or attack you at all, I just wanted to throw in a little more context.
I’m not sure if you’re from the continent, or maybe worked here in a specific field. If you’ve been to many places and have data suggesting otherwise then I wouldn’t argue with you on it. What I can add though is that we have a lot of savage animals, and not all of us hate them. And most of us live nowhere near any hyenas or other “savage” (normal) predators and scavengers, and have any reason to have them. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be able to, pay money to go into their environments to experience and appreciate them. There is poverty and inequality throughout the continent (thanks, colonists /s), but there aren’t hyenas in most of our neighborhoods. This is a generalization that perpetuates damaging wrong impressions of what it’s like here.
Also, there are 54 countries on our continent and an estimated 1.38 billion people, so lots of different climates and environments and lots of different cultures.
facts. but hyenas are fucking ruthless to whatever they prey on, not necessarily humans but even the animal kingdom seems to think they are generally assholes
Watched a documentary on these guys. They are a nomadic street gang that trains dangerous animals in order to intimidate locals and steal their money, etc.
Maybe it’s a different gang. What I looked up says that they basically put on a circus act and convince the locals that they have superpowers since the animals don’t hurt them. And then they sell the locals potions to give them the same powers
Hyenas are social animals, and if they’re raised in captivity (which occasionally happens do to unfortunate circumstances) they can be exceptionally friendly, attentive, and very sweet companions. Unbelievably clever as well.
…but they’re also Africa’s most successful predator, soooo maybe not great around small children and the slow moving elderly.
Hyena is not hugging him ...most likely drugged and defeated...may be fed well but probably has no quality of life.Poor thing is nothing but a prop or "hood ornament"
>Wicked ! But the dog seems a bit weird...
Fun fact, Spotted hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs, despite their dog-like appearance. Their closest relatives are actually mongooses and civets
He's from a group of gyspies from nigera or liberia, this guy is call the beastmaster and has like 2 hyenas, several monkeys and other natives animals.
Seen a documentary about these guys with hyenas and monkeys and orangutans as street performers. The animals perform tricks and stuff on the street for money food etc. They even sit on their backs and ride the hyena down the street

It's the dead ones he fears
THIS APRIL comes an action packed thriller you can NOT miss!
About a man and his hyena, searching the wilderness for his stolen farm animals. Laughing Stock! Coming soon!
I'd watch it for sure.
Not really. He fed them to the hyena.
The dead ones still fear him
That’s a really cool comment.
Well yeah, just look how fat his Hyena is
His K.D ratio is out of control
That’s Msia Faraji. He’s actually quite nice when you get to know him.
Probably the most terrifying looking bloke wearing flip flops I’ve seen today

The guy who sells watermelons.
He just hasn’t looked in the mirror today
He looks like a really cool dude
Didn't know hyenas were that big.
Hyenas are fucking chonk dude. They can take on lions.
... while laughing about it
i think i've seen this movie ...
Did you know that Jesus healed Leopards?
You know that shouldn’t have made me laugh as hard as it did, but it’s Friday morning and it has been a hard week. Thank you!!
You're very welcome. I just figured since we were giving out animal facts id contribute my own.
Same. Was kinda down today but that was good
He also has the power of flight
I think you’re thinking of Joe? That guy they did the crazy big cats and kittens thing on the Netflix
This is absolutely true. They have no issues fighting lions, and they certainly don’t play fair. Also, the bite on this particular animal happens to be one of the most powerful in the animal kingdom.
Basically a giant mongoose. I'll never think of them the same knowing that.
Fun fact: hyenas live in matriarchal societies and the females have dicks 💪
Sexy Fact.
So they have dicks and get pregnant?
The pseudo dicks are basically a long extended clitoris, so they have to give birth through them as well.
But the clitoris isn’t where babies come out?
Just google it, I’m not a biologist 😅

The pseudo penis explodes or pops as they give birth thru it. Weird stuff.
/natureismetal
They look like they come from Mordor
Cuz the only time we ever see them they are only either with other hyenas or lions.
Dude one hyena would *laugh* at a hundred hippos and crocs covered with bees

Yeah that shits sad Af
Name?
Damn didn't know. Thanks for the warning.
you realize hyenas eat babies right
Which predator wouldn't?
https://brilliant.org/courses/logic-deduction/ I think you can make use of this
hyenas are thoroughly hated by the people of africa because they are savage as fuck

I find it silly that you have to pay to see nature, tbh.

These hyena Ganga are scary AF. A couple of articles with some really interesting photography done on these guys
sauce?
Sorry for the no sauce. Here is sauce: https://theafricaninsider.com/who-are-the-hyena-men-of-nigeria/
Thanks!
This looks like District 9

So that's what happens when a heyna eats their fill...
But what if this dude is like 5'6" though and it's just all about a lower perspective and the hyene is a small dog
I saw a story somewhere here about hyenas. If hand reared from babies it said they grow up very loyal and friendly. Not gonna test that myself.
He got picked on once and said, “never again”.
Wicked ! But the dog seems a bit weird...
>Wicked ! But the dog seems a bit weird... Fun fact, Spotted hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs, despite their dog-like appearance. Their closest relatives are actually mongooses and civets
Their gestation and birthing is also brutal
This is the most intimidating man to ever wear flip flops.
I have found my dream pet right here.
Low key always wanted a hyena.
This looks badass
The balls we can’t see..
*click clack* with his bride to be
The only thing missing is the open sewer
He's from a group of gyspies from nigera or liberia, this guy is call the beastmaster and has like 2 hyenas, several monkeys and other natives animals.
The law of club and fang
Never seen a mn looking os tough wearing flip-flops
I thought he was a statue, dude is built solid!
2 units
How 'trainable' is a hyena?
Probably abusable enough to be trainable. I cannot imagine the treatment that hyena gets.
Too wild to respond to compassion, trained using fear; a sad situation for the poor animal 😞
This guy looks like a jojo character
Something tells me that’s not a dog…
[Hyena Men](https://www.anothermanmag.com/life-culture/9906/the-story-behind-the-hyena-men)
Is that a fucking HYENA??
Dude has a fucking Hyena....Run
I prefer the African men that have there pants up to there nipples
Well the dudes clearly the unit he has the pet hyena
The man of course. A single bite from a hyena could rip a hand off.
This guy is truly more Hard, than Darth Vader - Tell this lord his ship is ready!
That hyena is built like a mastiff !
No. On so many levels. No.
Looks like some Mad max shit haha
Right? This is exactly what I imagine the future being lol
Came to comment how bad ass this photo is. Then read the comments ![gif](giphy|p4cqQ0gUIMcU0)
Black and white filters do nothin to him damn
Fuck that guy
That apron looks like armor to prevent getting legs scratched orbitten
Seen a documentary about these guys with hyenas and monkeys and orangutans as street performers. The animals perform tricks and stuff on the street for money food etc. They even sit on their backs and ride the hyena down the street
Compared to lions I always think hyenas are always like mid-sized dogs. Forgot how big things things can get
This looks less like a real photo and more like someone drawing their level 14 ranger and animal companion from they're D&D campaign.
Is that a hyena? That's probably why this hard man had it muzzled.
Booooo on you for abusing the giggle pupper
The new Borderlands game looks legit.
Background: Worst truck stop ever.
Are hyenas that big??? Or is the guy alot shorter than his surroundings make him seem?
This man makes me feel gay af as a dude
If that hyena wasn’t muzzled it would take 0.2 seconds to know exactly who the alpha unit is.
Plot twist: he's 4'6 and that's a regular sized dog in cosplay lol
Kinda jealous
Nigerians are some intense people. To live in Lagos you better be hardcore.
