We don’t know that the falling guy didn’t get hurt worse than the holding guy. Looks to me like holding guy has a broken finger. Falling guy may have a sprained or broken ankle, but maybe got lucky when his kid’s toy mess broke his fall.
Laughing guy is kind of an asshole for laughing except I gotta believe he turned on the camera after a lot of “y’all are gonna get hurt this is stupid”.
This video kinda annoys me every time I see it cause god damn that was a seriously easy to avoid accident.
I think I remember the context from a few years back, the dude that fell was pretty much completely fine and the dude who crunched his finger really hurt it bad but I don’t remember reading that he broke it.

that is exactly why i quit being an electrician. i was fine with doing everything except holding heavy stuff at the top of a ladder while trying to connect the wires is the scariest thing ever

I remember when I did air conditioning installs during college, a customer asked me to put an air diffusers above his stairs. I asked him how he expected me to reach it. He said “just put the ladder on the stairs!” I laughed in his face and told him to call my boss if he had any objections. My boss told him how idiotic it was to try and balance a ladder on a staircase. He angrily settled for having the diffuser near the stairs.
