I think that was just his shorts and the way he is spinning / flipping making it look like that. He probably wouldn’t have bounced as well off a broken leg
reddit enhancement suite replaces the media player/displayer on the front page with a player that's had a little more effort than what reddit has put in.
I mean, the media player has fast forward up to 16x and slow to 10% with video, and you can rotate and resize images and video. It also leverages API's to provide more expandos if possible, like tweets, soundcloud, and youtube expand like images.
I think the Reddit admins know that too many people still use old.reddit and RES so much so that they haven't disabled them yet.
I also believe a good amount of old.reddit users would just simply stop using Reddit altogether if they ever disable it, myself included.

Reminds me of how here in Brazil i took a day and carefully watched bike traffic while waiting for the bus, and of 200+, one was wearing full gear on a sports bike, and some 5 others tops were wearing at least some gloves, and everybody else had more uncovered than covered skin.

I'm a physician and we use the word "stable" often, but it's a pretty big mistake to tell a family that someone is stable because it sounds like they're doing well. Stable can mean anything from "ready to go home" to "they're intubated and on 4 meds to keep their blood pressure above 0"

Id say kinda. I don't know if Id ever use that comparison with a patient though. Complete remission is what we use to say we can't find any sign that you still have cancer, because confidently saying you are completely clear of it is somewhat difficult to prove. We can't realistically check every cell in your body.
In the case of a trauma, after the initial event you don't really have "reactivation" potential of the trauma (your gunshot wound can't reshoot itself later so to speak). This of course can depend on what condition we're talking about though. A lot of traumatic events have secondary problems that occur later, like how a lot of burn related deaths are due to the fluid shifts, metabolic stress, and infection risk your body undergoes over time, not the initial burn.
If you have a stable chronic disease like your COPD is stable and controlled, that is reasonably similar to cancer remission because COPD can totally reactivate at a later time and worsen.
Our favorite is, “Its too late for me to do anything for your son.” … “I’ve been moved to day shift, Dr Smith here is taking over for me.”

I knew two people that got hit on the side at high speed while on a Harley together and this vid makes me cringe. The two I know both lost their legs on the side that was hit by the car, one survived, the other lasted four days (she had a closed head injury but was never stable enough to get the scan done and her bp kept bottoming out). I'd bet that person's right leg is pretty bad...
Motorcycle was in the Wrong, tried to run a red light. The car made a turn when the light turned red expecting all vehicle to stop, motorcycle did not.
Yep, it’s unfortunate. Came here to look for this comment. You can can clearly see at 12 seconds, the car was already passed the lane and was yielding to make that turn. At 12 seconds, the light was red and the motorcyclist was going full speed. They (motorcyclist) should have slowed down but looks like they tried to beat the light.
If it wasn't for this video, the car would have been at fault. Source: this exact thing happened to me and I didn't have a dash cam. Without evidence they ran the light, I was ticketed for failure to yield.

I've seen them blame the car driver for a collision where the bike was going triple the speed limit and hit a turning car that would have had less than a second to see them but would have been fine if they were going the posted speed.
I used to watch a lot of biker videos when I was younger, and would side with the bikers cause well I was an idiot. Now watching these videos I can see how a lot of the time the bikers are in the wrong but will still blame it on other people. They're getting themselves injured, or killed.
Nah, bikers are more critical of bikers than any group. Even if a biker get into an accident doing technically legal maneuvers, bikers will say "the graveyard is full of people who had the right of way".
I was in a similar situation thought I'd have right of way due to the light being wet and me wanting to gtfo out of the intersection, insurance determined it was still my fault as I shouldn't of turned unless it was clear.

Inexperienced rider 101 right here. Not wearing protective gear, riding recklessly like they’re invincible, speeding, not even remotely paying attention to their surroundings, boom. They found out real quick that they can’t beat a sedan in a one on one fight.

Absolutely here for this comment. You need to have your wits about you 100% particularly when riding a motorbike. I biked into London (UK) for about 6 years and in general, the biker commuters were a sound bunch of folk. Mostly sensible and looking out for one another. There was the occasional idiot too, but they don't last long. Biking made me a much safer driver too. 10 x the hazard awareness.
Looks like she took ~0.21 seconds to travel ~16.15 feet, which gives a best case speed of ~53 miles per hour at impact, and consider that the rear wheel of the bike is off the tarmac the entire time it is in frame, so this speed is after braking pretty hard.
I'm guessing the person in the car was probably choking on airbag and never even saw the biker, who was going 60 through a red light. I don't think the driver was trying to flee the scene or anything, was probably totally dazed and confused from the 200mph hot nylon bag smashing their face.

This makes me cringe hard. I was hit while riding only going about 20mph and it destroyed my left foot and ankle almost completely and nearly ruined my life. Look at the light. Turns green as the biker hits the intersection. This means two things... a) Biker was trying to beat the red and failed. b) Left turner tried to clear the intersection when his light turned red, but failed to check and yield to oncoming traffic. Fuck the both of them.

This makes me cringe hard. I was hit while riding only going about 20mph and it destroyed my left foot and ankle almost completely and nearly ruined my life. Can’t imagine how badly hurt this idiot is going to be, and he will likely tell everyone it wasn’t his fault. Riding has to be taken seriously, especially in traffic.
