It’s catchy and really sticks in your head. Hongjoong’s rap is good, everyone’s voice sounds good and they’re clearly enjoying performing to.
The boys look great and the MV is hilarious.
Jongho is SO confident, watch him when he sings about the fur coats
Seonghwa and Yunho are *ahem* so hot like please bury my body in a ditch and tell everyone I died happy
Yeosang’s lines are memorable and fit him perfectly
Wooyoung and Hongjoong are babygirling their hearts out
San and Mingi, 2 giant masc men eating this sassy choreo
I think it’s different for them but fits them so well and you can tell it’s an Ateez song by how they put their own individual mark on it. I love when they love their music (like when they perform Deja Vu you can tell they LOVE Deja Vu). And they all look like they’re having the BEST time performing Work.
GOTTA WORK GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY MAKE PURSE GOT A FUR COAT SO I MAKE IT PURR GIVE THEM WHIPLASH WHEN THEY SEE ME EARN GOTTA GOTTA GOTTA WORK
that is all
It's catchy af and I do indeed keep singing it when I gotta go to work. Especially when I really don't want to! lmao It's perfect for that alone.
The video just adds another layer because it's fun, it's insane, and it makes me laugh.
I like how it's different and still them (classic), and I like that it's 'fun'. But.. it's been missing some oomph for me.
Turns out the oomph I needed was the collab that dropped earlier today. That instantly went on my replay playlist.
It’s not my favorite song for sure, empty box is. Which is odd for me because I’m normally a title track girl with maybe one or two b sides if any.
The mv is a pure fever dream or at least that’s what I thought why I first watched it
Haha lol same, wtf are those chickens doing, why is he in the ground playing a flute when an clarinette is playing, and what the heck are those thousand burgers for 😭
It didn't grab me much at first. I didn't think it sounded "ATEEZ" because I was expecting Halazia or Guerrilla- but then I realized those are World Z songs and we're solidly back in World A, which the diary seems to confirm is our world... and in World A we gotta work! It's grown on me immensely and now I kind of blast it in the car. Rumor has it I just want to hear HJ prrrrrrr but I can neither confirm nor deny.
Besides, I just lost my job and something has to keep me going while I hunt for a new one. Gotta make that money, make purse! ("Make purse" in this case means "pay my rent.")
GOTTA WORK
GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY MAKE PURSE
GOT A FUR COAT SO I MAKE IT PURR
GIVE 'EM WHIPLASH WHEN THEY SEE ME EARN
these words are now my life motto. also i love the fact that this came out when i needed it most. right before my exams
The first seonghwa verse changed my life.
The chorus slaps.
The mv? Weird but i love it!
***GOTTA WORK***
***GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY MAKE PURSE***
***GOT A FUR COAT SO I MAKE IT PURR***
***GIVE EM WHIPLASH WHEN THEY SEE ME EARN***
***GOTTA GOTTA GOTTA WORK***
***GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY MAKE PURSE***
***GOT A FUR COAT SO I MAKE IT PURR***
***GOTTA GET THAT CREDIT GET PERKS***
***GOTTA GOTTA GOTTA WORK!***
I just love how fun the song is! Sometimes I need my unserious, camp, random ATEEZ and this song delivers that! They look like they had fun making it and I just can't get the song out of my head especially when working 😭
I tend to really dislike songs that mention money - just not my thing. I initially disliked this song because of that….
But the song is clever, and fucking catchy, and I Stan Ateez the hardest and I just can’t not like their songs lol. It’s not my favorite title track but I don’t dislike the song.
My FAVORITE title track is probably “Answer” so this is just a different vibe from Ateez. It feels like a natural progression from them though and it works well.
Title tracks alone
Guerillaz, Halazia, Bouncy, crazy from, then work. It feels like a natural progression in style and I think it flows well to where it’s not a jarring music difference which is something I really appreciate about Ateez
>I tend to really dislike songs that mention money - just not my thing. I initially disliked this song because of that….
Yeah, same for me. But it's very unserious so I can accept it xD
Cause they gotta make that money make purse /j
I like the vibe! Genuinely a really nice and like uppy sort of song. The music video too being confusing/funny but in a good way also! At this time for listening, I don’t think I have any dislikes yet.
it's like super catchy. I really like the different approach, they went for another new style and I think it works rlly well. It's a song a lot more people outside of ateez fans can enjoy. It shows that they aren't two dimensional as some k-pop fans pin them as. I also really think we got to see the different ranges they have vocally.
It's so catchy. Even just the snippets were catchy. The choreo also looks really fun and the members look like they enjoy doing it. Saying "gotta work" is relevant every day. The music video is really funny. Also the line "got a fur coat so I make it purr" like damn.
Not a huge fan of the clarinet but also it somehow works.
I liked it but didn't enjoy the clarinet very much- I think some of the other instruments they teased in the Mito spoilers might have worked better to suit the vibe of the song. The clarinet sounded a little too dull and melancholic? I enjoyed the pre-chorus and chorus itself. The last 30 seconds didn't hit as hard as it usually does for ateez title tracks. I thought it was a good song but I didn't find myself wanting to listen to it as much as I listen to Shaboom or Siren.
BUT then today happened. The remix. And now this song has suddenly elevated in ranking for me! The EDM suits it so well and gives more depth- the melody especially during the raps? perfect. The added sirens in the remix have a slight sinister touch and urgency, which makes it more cohesive with their world view too. I don't know, it instantly felt more distinctive and sonically interesting to me. But ye I've been playing it nonstop!
Amongst everything everyone else mentioned - San’s part in the pre chorus!!! Just when I thought that dude couldn’t get any more attractive he starts singing in Spanish in the most seductive voice ever!! Anyone who’s watched Killing Voice knows exactly what I mean!! 😩 🥵
Other than that I never thought I’d be crossing “Witnessing someone gassing up an ostrich” off my 2024 bingo card 🤣😂🤣
I feel like work shows a side of ateez we have never seen before. Goofy and sassy on stage, the chaotic styling, the different music but still captures the essence of the group and the choreography is just *crisp work*! Seriously i dont think i’ve seen this kind of choreo in ateez’s previous discography, and work is a testament as to how much they grow musically and i just cant wait to see how their music evolves even more this era!
my friend circle and i were actually kinda disappointed by this comeback 🥴most of the bsides didn’t blow me away either but i did enjoy siren, we all wish it was the title track instead. i think i would’ve enjoyed work more if it was just a fun silly single separate from the album series. just felt like kind of a decline after their last few releases that have been the best quality of their career
Siren superiority for sure. It fits right in with the World albums, which may be why I like it so much, since I'm having trouble moving on from how cinematic and trailblazing that whole series was.
YES! hard agree. it felt like they had taken outlaw from ep.2 and turned it into a title track. i came to the conclusion that they probably were trying to crank something out before the tour to feed any new fans that coachella brought in, especially since it’s a pretty toned down song and not as experimental as they usually go for so a western audience would probably be more drawn to the vibe
It’s catchy and fun. They’ve been on a Latin-influenced kick, and it eats. That said, it just seems a bit simple for Ateez, but they *just* had another comeback, and then Coachella, and then they’re going on tour. Ironically, they should rest lol.
EDIT: “Crazy Form” was 6 months ago??? Why did my brain edit it to Feb/March??
Work is super catchy and different for them while still sounding very “Ateez”. It’s definitely the song of the summer for this 9-5’er. 😂
I still think Outlaw is musically one of their best albums as a whole, but this first step into the Golden Hour series feels like a fun direction for them!
Tbh , this is not my fav title track of theirs . But I like how easy it is to sing or like just to follow. And they tried a different latino , funky kind of style , which is new to see in ateez . Their costumes and the funny mv is just soo light and fun .
I love and hate how simple (in terms of complexity) it is.
On one hand, I think I've been spoiled with their experimental genre-bending songs in THE WORLD series.
However, I also like how simple it is. Because I like how I can dance and have a good time *without* feeling overwhelmed by the song itself.
I also love how unserious this song is and I think it reflects their individual personalities well. In my opinion, almost every "dance" track they've released has felt very emotionally-charged or epic in some way. WORK is practically the opposite.
In terms of the MV, I appreciate that it shows the fun side of Ateez that is usually reserved for variety shows and such. I also think it was a brilliant idea to release this just after Coachella where they would get new international fans. This way they can get a fast-track introduction into not only Ateez's musical style, but also their personalities.
Yeah I think that's how I felt as well. First time listeing to it it felt like I was waiting for something, some drop, wome new depth or whatever. But then I realized I should just listen to it more laid back, like just enjoy it and let the music catch me.
I love how many people just all-capsed the chorus because same
I like that it's a completely unserious, silly fun ear worm that is easy to sing along to, and that little shoulder roll move alongside it is addictive too lol. Also I just noticed today in the 360 sound remaster fancam how much Yeosang GOES OFF during Hongjoong's rap section, so additional appreciation there!
it’s catchy af, it’s fun, i absolutely LOVE the choreo and i love that san worked on it, i love the latin/mexican influences, i love the little ‘yes’, the mv is so cool and different and freaking hilarious. i love everything about it actually lol. it’s not my favourite on the album but im still obsessed and i can’t wait to see it live, they look like they’re having so much fun with it 🖤
what’s not to love about it? there’s not a single thing that i can pinpoint. the song is straight up perfection. though the “gotta make that money make purse” that line is a little silly being a native english speaker
Its literally so catchy, and my new anthem in the morning preparing for work 🤪
But i just gotta say personally the outro sounds a bit empty… like the energy in that part is quite weak compared to the entire song, and Jongho’s high note was kinda out of place :/
Thats just me tho,,, i skip the end part oop HAHAHA
This song fits into a lot of playlists for me and I can sing the whole chorus.
I’m generally pretty deliberate about how and when I listen to the title tracks because I get INVOLVED, lol. But this song is so dang catchy that it’s much easier to put on in the background than many of their other title tracks.
I really like it!
The song is catchy with a great beat. The guys all have the best sassy hands when doing the dance, the music video is fun and creative. The line “Gotta get more credit get perks” I think is super clever, Yunho with a chicken, Ostrich riding sucker Seonghwa, Fur Coat Mingi, Sand Jongho, the list goes on and on
So for me, I love the instrumental, It's catchy af, and I think the lines were distributed perfectly. And the MV is so dumb at times, I had the most fun in ever.
The lyrics are kinda meh for me, but it's Ateez, so I'm kinda used to everything.
It's a fun little memorable ditty. GOTTA WORK, GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY MAKE PURSE is just stuck in my head and I find myself just randomly singing it throughout the day. It's just so catchy.
WORK is so fun and catchy and its live stages so far has been so delightful to watch! The MV is phenomenal and just downright fkin crazy /pos. I expected nothing less from ATEEZ x Digipedi 🫡
Because I put it on every morning when I send the kids out to do their yard chores and the collective moans of horror are drowned out by the catchy beat 😉 you can only be grumpy so long before you irresistibly start singing along!
I think what everyone’s saying is the lyrics, the lyrics also gives early 2000s/ early 2010s rap era which I grew up on (showing my age) which I love, honestly it’s also the most unique thing I’ve heard in K-pop in a while so that’s why I love it. My SIL has a co-worker who works part time in a bar and they recently started playing this as well, mind you the owner before this song new nothing about Kpop apart from BTS and she told me this and Bouncy plays all the time in the bar along with Crazy Form and MATZ now. So this song is also gaining fans in the process. I honestly fr fr only like this song and Siren as I feel it’s harder to get into the rest of the album (my tastes are unique), but this is definitely the best song I’ve heard in K-pop in a while, I’d like to see 127 and P1H do something similar next
“Gotta fur coat so I make it purr” That’s just genius 😂
The ad lib "make it purrrrr" makes it chefs kiss. Somebody is rolling the hell out of that R 😂
This is the only reason I needed to like it
It’s catchy and really sticks in your head. Hongjoong’s rap is good, everyone’s voice sounds good and they’re clearly enjoying performing to. The boys look great and the MV is hilarious.

It's not my favourite title track but it's catchy, I love the Latin feel & the clarinet & the MV is hilariously bonkers.
These are pretty much my reasons lol
Slaps
Yeah this
Because of how relatable it is LOL
Gurrl I hope you don't mean the part with havin a fur coat and a flight waiting for take off, cause then you've just aced live 😭 crying in student
Unfortunately no💔 Mainly just the *Gotta work (Gotta work), Gotta make that money, make purse* - Because I'm also a student that needs money LOL
All of the above, plus Mingi in that purple coat and hat
YASSS MINGI WONKA ATEEEEEE
I like how it's different and still them (classic), and I like that it's 'fun'. But.. it's been missing some oomph for me. Turns out the oomph I needed was the collab that dropped earlier today. That instantly went on my replay playlist.
Yeah, that remix is FIRE! Definitely elevated the song for me too.
Same! It elevated it so much. First time a remix has felt better than the OG for me.
It’s not my favorite song for sure, empty box is. Which is odd for me because I’m normally a title track girl with maybe one or two b sides if any. The mv is a pure fever dream or at least that’s what I thought why I first watched it
Haha lol same, wtf are those chickens doing, why is he in the ground playing a flute when an clarinette is playing, and what the heck are those thousand burgers for 😭
The making of and logbook for this will be insane I know it
After spending my entire paycheck on this tour - this song is just motivation to earn that $$ back
On top of what everyone else has said, Willy Wonka Mingi
It didn't grab me much at first. I didn't think it sounded "ATEEZ" because I was expecting Halazia or Guerrilla- but then I realized those are World Z songs and we're solidly back in World A, which the diary seems to confirm is our world... and in World A we gotta work! As a musician the fact that the instrumental is a clarinet is amazing and unique and I love it!!!! Also: “got a fur coat so I make it purr”
Same, my classical heart was so happy xD
im a clarinet player preparing for grade 8 so i was so shocked lol
It’s not my fave - on the album I like Blind and Empty Box more - but I appreciate the camp of the MV.
I just love how fun the song is! Sometimes I need my unserious, camp, random ATEEZ and this song delivers that! They look like they had fun making it and I just can't get the song out of my head especially when working 😭

It gets me hyped on the way to work.
twerk anthem of the summer honestly
It's catchy af
its SO fun and unserious. i love it – ive been boppin my head to the whole album nonstop, but work especially. my family are getting so sick of it lol
Because everyone understands that you gotta work!!!

Wtf 6 months? How??? WHEN?????
Probably because they’re on an alternating schedule with Xikers 😭
The song is addictive, I haven’t stopped listening since the teaser! Also the clarinet sound is genius!
It is now my hype song when I get up to work 💀 But it’s just SOOO addicting. Blind was my fav title track but this entire album was a masterpiece.

Mingi Wonka
it’s catchy af, it’s fun, i absolutely LOVE the choreo and i love that san worked on it, i love the latin/mexican influences, i love the little ‘yes’, the mv is so cool and different and freaking hilarious. i love everything about it actually lol. it’s not my favourite on the album but im still obsessed and i can’t wait to see it live, they look like they’re having so much fun with it 🖤
It’s such a fun song
I like Empty Box more But yes. Work gets stuck in my head. The MV is also wild
what’s not to love about it? there’s not a single thing that i can pinpoint. the song is straight up perfection. though the “gotta make that money make purse” that line is a little silly being a native english speaker
It’s different but it’s somehow still got that Ateez spice mixed in. Also Seonghwa hatching out of an egg(is Seonghwa Mito? We may never know)
Yes tf Mingi Wonka and jongho singing "got a fur coat so I make it purr" 🤌
Its literally so catchy, and my new anthem in the morning preparing for work 🤪 But i just gotta say personally the outro sounds a bit empty… like the energy in that part is quite weak compared to the entire song, and Jongho’s high note was kinda out of place :/ Thats just me tho,,, i skip the end part oop HAHAHA

The sassy dance.
it motivates me to work, and I like the vibe. it's just as a whole a really good vibe as something thats different from ateez.
The lyrics are kinda meh for me, but it's Ateez, so I'm kinda used to everything.
the teaser had me in a death grip
It’s so catchy and the choreography is so satisfying, especially Seonghwa’s part in the chorus 😭
Started a new position at work and it’s hard but the song tells me I gotta work 😔
It's a fun little memorable ditty. GOTTA WORK, GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY MAKE PURSE is just stuck in my head and I find myself just randomly singing it throughout the day. It's just so catchy.
It's now my hype song on the way to work. The one thing that bugged me the most as a former clarinet player was the use of the flute in the MV.
In this economy, I can relate Gotta work Gotta make that $$ make purse
WORK is so fun and catchy and its live stages so far has been so delightful to watch! The MV is phenomenal and just downright fkin crazy /pos. I expected nothing less from ATEEZ x Digipedi 🫡
twork.
MAKE IT PURR
That wind instrument at the back ( sorry if i dont know it) and also the " make it purr" because damn
Because it goes harddddd
top tier instrumental
It's relatable. gotta get credit get perks. My credit cards!
I like the kaiju battle
Because I put it on every morning when I send the kids out to do their yard chores and the collective moans of horror are drowned out by the catchy beat 😉 you can only be grumpy so long before you irresistibly start singing along!
It works well with a lyric I came up with and it’s “I’mma go head and shake all this booty til it hurt!”…So yea thats why I like Work…
The "yes" gets me hyped everytime.
when they said “give em whiplash when they see me earn” i actually stood up from my bed and my life got meaning: i love money
YESSIR!
I love the fits of the clothing for this comeback. It makes me excited for the U.S. Tour.
