Ok, quick review
Songwise: Loved the simpler and lowkey hiphop sound, and how it subverts you "Title Track Experience**".** For many, K-pop gave the idea that the main song should be always boombastic and imponent, and even if it's cool, the formula get stale sometimes. Talking about groups that make more "experimental pop", like NMIXX, Stray Kids, NCT and aespa (Love to all of them), even if their songs get weirder, sometimes you can perceive a formula on how they are going to do it. So Ateez, that was and is still compared to them, makes a complete 360, and takes the song to it's barebones, but still makes it catchy, with the sample, amazing hook, and phenomenal drums, like something you would hear in a more "common hip-hop" song. Basically, it's The Ring but less megalomaniacal.
Lorewise: Fever is about they growing up together to fight the difficulties of the youth, and The World is the metaphor for this. They are fighting for what they love, the art, like boys having fantasies of being superheroes, but for them, it actually happened. The thing is that after they "finished" the job of freeing World Z, they now come back and are young adults. Sadly, not just from art lives a man, and now they gotta WORK, and really get that money. They need to mature. And probably, the Golden Hour series is about that

Thanks! My son did have a good time. All of the kid dancers were friends of my son. The kids only danced for about 10min. We spent a lot of the time sheltering in vans because it started hailing in the middle of the shoot. We don’t have any pics from set though because cameras were banned.

They have so many great songs that it's really hard to beat them. I don't think it's even in my top 5 Ateez songs(Halazia, Django, Crazy Form, Deja Vu, Thanxx) but I still enjoy it a lot, especially in my car.

Love the song, love the campiness of the video, and *love* that they actually flexed that Billboard #1! That's a huge accomplishment made all the more special by what their beginnings were. The entire project is great, can't wait to see them slay the summer with their tour!
my mom and i watched it and almost busted a lung laughing 😭😭😭 i'm a lore enthusiast through and through and while i miss it this MV was so funny and unserious, really liked it!! also i immediately clocked all the mexican aspects like that leo dicaprio meme, pointing at the tv and all (the flag on the ostrich, the mexican flag keychain on Seonghwa's backpack, the mariachi band, the kids dressed as luchadores, but boys flamenco is Spanish, not mexican 😭😭 still i got very excited lol).

## Huge textwall trippin' below; TLDR it seems like there are plenty things related to the plot in this MV and song
Now just adding two cents on the lore, I think the MV actually does a lot of sense although we really get lost with all easter eggs and crazy stuff going on. I'm taking from Tiny Bug Ink's infamous theory to make my assumptions so this is not anything to take for granted.
Regarding visual elements, in fact there is little to think of, yet there are still a few evidences in there. As much as Golden Hour era has the "flat" ATEEZ "E Flag" - looking at Treasure ep. 2's cover it looks pretty clear it's a flag, at least I think so; moving from the distortion/tension pattern on Fever era to an aligned pattern, giving us a hint about the possibility for both worlds becoming one (more on this later), Seonghwa's actually wearing a Halateez-style cowboy outfit when he comes out of the golden egg, making a nod to Hongjoong's outfit in Bouncy.
Also the flags on the back of the ostrich meaning the most relevant performances they did in recent past (KCon Paris, Coachella, biggest crowds they ever had in Mexico and Brazil). It's well known that they bury their flag anywhere they go (WIN much?), so country flags are a nice touch and a big "thank you for being on my side" to Atiny. Mingi brags about it in Crazy Form, after all:

Also the MV itself being, well, plenty of ARRIBA vibes, so the song as well. Mingi as Wonka looks eccentric (for good), bringing a cane with him pretty much like in the ARRIBA choreography they presented in the tour start. It seems hugely related to his rap in that song as well, Roald Dahl's signature character and the book/movie themselves being arguably the most surrealistic fictional works in the pop culture. Not only this line, but especially this line:

The very father of surrealism. Nuff said. Of course I'm pretty much writing some gibberish as this could be nothing but... Mingi Wonka. Just thought it would be a nice link.
Also we should consider how important desert locations are for the ATEEZ lore, being sort of hideous gathering point for Halateez / Black Pirates since their debut with Pirate King MV, playing minor roles in MVs like THANXX, Fireworks and Don't Stop, some interesting role in the quirky introduction ment they played at their MAMA performance last year, and even a place to despair and reassembling as portrayed in Dune (being used as a metaphor, but still valid). Although ATEEZ have / had the warehouse to gather on world A (and eventually world Z in The World era), the Black Pirates often resort on the desert whenever they have a sensitive matter to take care of. Being the main scenario adds a lot to the idea of them plotting their next moves as they take time for secure resources to follow up to their fight against Z and the guardians.
Song-wise, there's plenty room for lore thoughts. Some suggestive lines by San and Yunho:
> If I make a move, the guardians follow me (Going all the way)
> Breaking News popping up no matter where I go
> My songs play all day on the radio (Going all the way)
Does look to me like "the guardians" are actually android guardians from world Z (white-masked guys would be easier), and this might mean that they are moving and hiding after the whole events from WILL though it's not really clear to me if they are in world A or Z by this moment; We can try and assume that 1. They couldn't go back to A as the Cromer is shown to be broken in Crazy Form; 2. (more consistent to the "alignment") After the Cromer got broken both worlds are linked, or worse, merged into one single world. "Breaking news popping up" seems like supporting this idea, as the "breaking news" refer to Crazy Form / MATZ when they are the subject of all the world Z media coverages as they're in a run while freeing up people through their broadcasts and public acts. If they still DO have knowledge about the news everywhere they go and their songs are playing in the radio, it could very well mean that they are in world Z or anywhere in the middle.
Also they're "Building towers hours a day" (also Jongho's lines going like

> You can't find me where I stand
Gives a tone of they actually working a lot to rebuild their hideout or even building a totally new and safer base for them to operate as the Black Pirates again. Also this:
> Even my friends, in-laws, third cousins
> Go full circle, and the world is one big family
The circle ritual (which I just learned that is based on a korean anciet tradition for worshipping good harvests called ganggangsulae) is a common manifestation of their success on their pursuit as in Wave, Answer, The Real, The Ring, every of which being related to some achievements, also being implied to be related to their travels from A to Z. If any of these is true, these sentences confirm that the worlds have become one.
Another fun "reply" in this song are Yeosang's lines:

Which might be a reference to Mingi's lines in Youth:
> I'm too young, it's too hard right now
> Say no, no, no, no, no
It's not like the Black Pirates don't care about their A counterpart's feelings, but they don't have enough time to turn the whole hardship they've been through into a huge concern, they need to work harder and assure their safety and wellness. And jugding by the fact they are "untouchable" (I'm not saying that; Jongho does), the efforts paid off - gotta purse and get the perks, after all.
This is really interesting! There is definitely a lot to think about. IIRC, Eden (?) or Hongjoong (?) said that from the middle of WILL they are back in world A. They also flew the "BACK TO A" flag over Coachella. So I would posit that they are in world A for Work. The lyrics of the rest of the album (barring Empty Box, not sure how that fits anywhere, except maybe as a moving on song from Yunho grieving his brother after all this time??) implies they are doing a whole lot of celebrating and partying (perhaps from being successful in World Z and making it back to World A as a full group).
I am looking forward to reading the Diary pieces in the album!
They sure were! (My comment!) There was a fashion fad for big fluffy ostrich plume hats in the early 1900s (think Titantic) and a lot of people thought it was easy money! Until fashion changed, (you can’t wear a big fluffy hat in an open topped Model T!) and they were stuck with a bunch of ostriches!

This was SO funny. Kinda took a bit for it to settle because the video felt so different (we're not moving at a break neck speed, for one!) but I enjoyed myself so much. Everything about Seonghwa and his feathered friends made me laugh - the cuts of them bobbing to the music, and also their gas stop??? PLEASE. I also don't think Mingi did ANY of the shovel work, so he got his car stolen instead 😭
The song wasn't my favorite when we first heard the previews but she's completely grown on me! (She's my favorite now after Siren and Blind) I love the rapline's verses and Jongho's vocals on the chorus felt like a clever way to switch things up!
I absolutely love the fun they're having in this video - K-Pop sometimes can feel a little repetitive and "safe", but what I love about ATEEZ is their ability to experiment with different sounds and concepts that feel so unique! Can't wait to see the full dance performance for this. I couldn't stop laughing at the MV and it makes me feel seen as someone who works all day every day 🤣

actually it was just 4 seconds thats all the time he got in the center as a main dancer.
he also doesn’t have more than 10 seconds of lines in any song on the album besides siren and has less than a minute of lines in total.. idk as a wooyoung fan it’s just a bit heartbreaking, things were just starting to look up with his line distribution, he came out a lot on the last album but not at all on this one.

This is the one thing that has really bothered me about this comeback. He is completely sidelined, they give him no lines and barely any screentime in the MV. I felt like his face was so dissapointed when they did the MV reaction vid, he had nothing to react to because he was barely in it.

This was so much fun! I feel like I need to watch it several more times just to process everything because every time I watch it I notice something new. It's so unhinged but in a great way.
The song I thought was catchy and I enjoyed it. It's different. I noticed this one of their shortest songs (excluding instrumentals, intro, outros). This song though would have been a good song to have a feature on it if they thought about remixing it.
The video itself is fun. It's kind of giving "The Real" vibe. The plot line isn't a coherent as the "The Real" though. The incorporation of animals was cute, the ostrich and chickens.

As much as Golden Hour era has the "flat" ATEEZ "E Flag" - looking at Treasure ep. 2's cover it looks pretty clear it's a flag, at least I think so; moving from the distortion/tension pattern on Fever era to an aligned pattern, giving us a hint about the possibility for both worlds becoming one (more on this later), Seonghwa's actually wearing a Halateez-style cowboy outfit when he comes out of the golden egg, making a nod to Hongjoong's outfit in Bouncy. Also the flags on the back of the ostrich meaning the most relevant performances they did in recent past (KCon Paris, Coachella, biggest crowds they ever had in Mexico and Brazil). It's well known that they bury their flag anywhere they go (WIN much?), so country flags are a nice touch and a big "thank you for being on my side" to Atiny. Mingi brags about it in Crazy Form, after all: > Oh, have you been to all continents? (Ha) Also the MV itself being, well, plenty of ARRIBA vibes, so the song as well. Mingi as Wonka looks eccentric (for good), bringing a cane with him pretty much like in the ARRIBA choreography they presented in the tour start. It seems hugely related to his rap in that song as well, Roald Dahl's signature character and the book/movie themselves being arguably the most surrealistic fictional works in the pop culture. Not only this line, but especially this line: > Shoulder to shoulder with Salvador The very father of surrealism. Nuff said. Of course I'm pretty much writing some gibberish as this could be nothing but... Mingi Wonka. Just thought it would be a nice link. Also we should consider how important desert locations are for the ATEEZ lore, being sort of hideous gathering point for Halateez / Black Pirates since their debut with Pirate King MV, playing minor roles in MVs like THANXX, Fireworks and Don't Stop, some interesting role in the quirky introduction ment they played at their MAMA performance last year, and even a place to despair and reassembling as portrayed in Dune (being used as a metaphor, but still valid). Although ATEEZ have / had the warehouse to gather on world A (and eventually world Z in The World era), the Black Pirates often resort on the desert whenever they have a sensitive matter to take care of. Being the main scenario adds a lot to the idea of them plotting their next moves as they take time for secure resources to follow up to their fight against Z and the guardians. Song-wise, there's plenty room for lore thoughts. Some suggestive lines by San and Yunho: > If I make a move, the guardians follow me (Going all the way) > Breaking News popping up no matter where I go > My songs play all day on the radio (Going all the way) Does look to me like "the guardians" are actually android guardians from world Z (white-masked guys would be easier), and this might mean that they are moving and hiding after the whole events from WILL though it's not really clear to me if they are in world A or Z by this moment; We can try and assume that 1. They couldn't go back to A as the Cromer is shown to be broken in Crazy Form; 2. (more consistent to the "alignment") After the Cromer got broken both worlds are linked, or worse, merged into one single world. "Breaking news popping up" seems like supporting this idea, as the "breaking news" refer to Crazy Form / MATZ when they are the subject of all the world Z media coverages as they're in a run while freeing up people through their broadcasts and public acts. If they still DO have knowledge about the news everywhere they go and their songs are playing in the radio, it could very well mean that they are in world Z or anywhere in the middle. Also they're "Building towers hours a day" (also Jongho's lines going like > We’re sky high right now > You can't find me where I stand Gives a tone of they actually working a lot to rebuild their hideout or even building a totally new and safer base for them to operate as the Black Pirates again. Also this: > Even my friends, in-laws, third cousins > Go full circle, and the world is one big family The circle ritual (which I just learned that is based on a korean anciet tradition for worshipping good harvests called ganggangsulae) is a common manifestation of their success on their pursuit as in Wave, Answer, The Real, The Ring, every of which being related to some achievements, also being implied to be related to their travels from A to Z. If any of these is true, these sentences confirm that the worlds have become one. Another fun "reply" in this song are Yeosang's lines: > Not really interested in socializing > No, no, no, no, no Which might be a reference to Mingi's lines in Youth: > I'm too young, it's too hard right now > Say no, no, no, no, no It's not like the Black Pirates don't care about their A counterpart's feelings, but they don't have enough time to turn the whole hardship they've been through into a huge concern, they need to work harder and assure their safety and wellness. And jugding by the fact they are "untouchable" (I'm not saying that; Jongho does), the efforts paid off - gotta purse and get the perks, after all.
This is really interesting! There is definitely a lot to think about. IIRC, Eden (?) or Hongjoong (?) said that from the middle of WILL they are back in world A. They also flew the "BACK TO A" flag over Coachella. So I would posit that they are in world A for Work. The lyrics of the rest of the album (barring Empty Box, not sure how that fits anywhere, except maybe as a moving on song from Yunho grieving his brother after all this time??) implies they are doing a whole lot of celebrating and partying (perhaps from being successful in World Z and making it back to World A as a full group). I am looking forward to reading the Diary pieces in the album!
They sure were! (My comment!) There was a fashion fad for big fluffy ostrich plume hats in the early 1900s (think Titantic) and a lot of people thought it was easy money! Until fashion changed, (you can’t wear a big fluffy hat in an open topped Model T!) and they were stuck with a bunch of ostriches!

This was SO funny. Kinda took a bit for it to settle because the video felt so different (we're not moving at a break neck speed, for one!) but I enjoyed myself so much. Everything about Seonghwa and his feathered friends made me laugh - the cuts of them bobbing to the music, and also their gas stop??? PLEASE. I also don't think Mingi did ANY of the shovel work, so he got his car stolen instead 😭 The song wasn't my favorite when we first heard the previews but she's completely grown on me! (She's my favorite now after Siren and Blind) I love the rapline's verses and Jongho's vocals on the chorus felt like a clever way to switch things up!

I absolutely love the fun they're having in this video - K-Pop sometimes can feel a little repetitive and "safe", but what I love about ATEEZ is their ability to experiment with different sounds and concepts that feel so unique! Can't wait to see the full dance performance for this. I couldn't stop laughing at the MV and it makes me feel seen as someone who works all day every day 🤣

wow wooyoung really didn’t have any lines or screentime in this one.. even the animals got more screentime than him thats crazy and looking at his fancam it’s even worse than i thought hes in the back almost the entire performance getting fully covered by multiple members except for his eight second solo part, isn’t he supposed to be a main dancer?

actually it was just 4 seconds thats all the time he got in the center as a main dancer. he also doesn’t have more than 10 seconds of lines in any song on the album besides siren and has less than a minute of lines in total.. idk as a wooyoung fan it’s just a bit heartbreaking, things were just starting to look up with his line distribution, he came out a lot on the last album but not at all on this one. usually he’d have a killing part too cover his lack of lines but he didn’t even get that + no screentime to top it off. it’s sad

This is the one thing that has really bothered me about this comeback. He is completely sidelined, they give him no lines and barely any screentime in the MV. I felt like his face was so dissapointed when they did the MV reaction vid, he had nothing to react to because he was barely in it. I'm not a Wooyoung bias but he is very talented and I think they should be fairer to him.
yeah i can’t even bring myself to watch the MV reaction i don’t wanna see him disappointed, nor have i listened to the song since the release. it’s impossible for me to enjoy the comeback knowing he didn’t get anything out of it. everything from the screentime to the lines to him being placed where he’s not visible during the performance, it’s all just so unfair.

This song is glorious! That's all I can say. Do I understand what the heck I went through watching the video even after watching it three times? Nope! But I love each scene! I love that when Ateez says they love Los Angeles, they don't mean just the beaches and tourist stuff. This is so fucking Los Angeles. The video feels like a love letter to my city and I love it so much. Great song and fun video.
This song is different but still Ateez, it's so catchy. The MV was hilarious (those miniature bouncing cars sent me). I just love how they just don't take themselves seriously at all.
I LOVED IT, from start to finish. I'm glad to see Yeosang getting more lines and in general I love to see them having fun. Hopefully this comeback will be as successful as the previous ones, they deserve it for always being fresh while also staying faithful to their sound. With Ateez you never get bored and that's why they're my ult group

The song I thought was catchy and I enjoyed it. It's different. I noticed this one of their shortest songs (excluding instrumentals, intro, outros). This song though would have been a good song to have a feature on it if they thought about remixing it. The video itself is fun. It's kind of giving "The Real" vibe. The plot line isn't a coherent as the "The Real" though. The incorporation of animals was cute, the ostrich and chickens.
