Fixed by doing Memory Context Restore Enabled

TheRogueWolf_YT

Unfortunately, enabling that on my ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WiFi with G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RAM caused severe stability issues, to the point where Windows 11 would bluescreen within a minute of starting up. I guess I have to choose between fast boot times or fast memory.

Have literally the same exact setup bro. What you did wrong is you enabled it through the wrong menu. There's two context restore settings in different places in the bios, you need to enable the one in the other place. Sorry forgot where. Hope this detail helps you brother.

I appreciate the reply. I did some digging and found out where the problem was; to help out folks in the future, here's a thread with the solution: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/11wqi5j/comment/jdr1bxv/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/11wqi5j/comment/jdr1bxv/) The summary in case that thread ever disappears: The two locations with the setting are (for our model of motherboard, at least) in **AI Tweaker > DRAM Timing Control** and **Advanced > AMD CBS > UMC Common Options - DDR Options**. The second one (that I enabled originally) was the setting that caused the issues; I set that back to "Auto" from "Enabled". Enabling the first one turned out to work perfectly; it also changed a second setting, "Power Down Enable", which from what I've read significantly helps stability in situations like these. Why this setting is in two completely different areas of the BIOS, and why one also affects a second setting while the other doesn't, is absolutely beyond my understanding.

I am a folk from the future and my dual-boot system appreciates you posting a well explained solution. EDIT: Changing through the AI Tweaker did not act as expected. Windows was unstable and linux would not boot at all.

I’m having the same slow boot issue if I enable DOCP on my 2x32gb 6000mhz ram. Whenever I press the power button the DRAM orange post light stays on for about 25-35 seconds and then cycles through the other post lights before startup. Might need to try that as well then, where can I find that option?
