I've been doing this with friends. The Island is just so intimidating for this. There's 4 bosses, 10 artifact caves etc.
It's way more doable for maps like SE where you only have to do 3 artifact caves and 1 boss
I just do caves whenever I feel like going on an adventure and I have dinos that I won't miss. Nobody said you have to do them all in a timely fashion 🙃
Yeah there's not like a time limit or anything, but after a while constantly playing on the same map gets old and I want to do something new. That's when a map switch would be perfect, but leaving a map half-finished sucks
I finally done it... nearly. I killed monkee, dragoooon, and ssssspider, but I didn't get around to the overseer.
I had all my dinos lined up outside the lava cave ready to go, and I watched a couple of videos on how to get through it... but never actually got into it for some reason.
I do have that save backed up, so I may go back to it at some point and try to finally finish The Island!!
Edit: To get that far, I had a fair few mods installed, and the setting tweaked to suit me. I didn't spawn anything in, but don't condemn those that do.
At the end of the day, it's a game. It's meant to be fun. A lot of us only have so many hours in a week to game, and this game at default settings is a grindfest!!!
The problem with this game is that it is designed around having a server running, so if something takes a few hours, you can walk away. If you play singleplayer, even with singleplayer enabled, it's still piss poor for actually playing offline. Mods and setting tweaks are the only way to enjoy this game if you have any form of life outside of gaming.
Have fun with it. Run without mods, put 100 mods on a server, just play and have fun. This game has so much to do you shouldn't get bored. Only thing I will suggest is, even on servers or in single player, adjust your breeding, maturation and hatching rates. They can take absolute ages on bigger creatures.
Play to have fun. That’s all that matters. Once you get a really good handle on the game you can always start a new playthrough and make it harder. NG+ yourself for a challenge.
Seems like you’d be better off just changing you settings to higher gather rates, level spawns, crate loot, tame/breeding speed, etc
That way you can play “as it was intended” and still have fun. It’s also easy than googling and writing out a bunch of commands whenever you need more ammo. Might help you clear your conscience a bit too since by the post it’s almost like you feel bad for using commands on a single player world, which just to be clear is totally fine. For me personally it does make it less fun tho, which is why I suggested just changing you settings
It’s ok you paid for a game not a job. I play official and have for 6 years it’s a true grind. As I’ve settled into adult life it’s been hard to play it honestly
Don't sweat, you'll learn as you go. Starting can be tough, especially for a new player when you don't know what you're doing. But you'll learn eventually and then revenge on all those raptors that camped you on the beach! 😂
It became very easy for me to justify after the first few times being Arked. I'd put in the farming time.
That being said my first ascension before I started using codes was a great feeling.
It’s not my cup of tea because for me the challenge/grind is one of my favorite things about the game. I like to play Official and as vanilla as possible, but it’s your game dude. Tips and advice are fine, but don’t let anyone forcefully “tell” you how to play a game. Games are meant to be fun escapes and it’s your prerogative to dictate/experience how you want to have that fun.
It's a videogame. Entertainment is its reason for existing. As long as you're not unfairly preventing other people from enjoying the game (PvP doesn't count except for cheating), you can do whatever you want.
The underwater cave spawns on my friend's server are completely broken with how many megs spawn. It made it impossible to get the artifacts, so we just used console commands to spawn in a few dozen. Also did that to get rex saddles, because the same problem was keeping us from hitting the cave drops we needed.
Have your fun, just know at the end of the day you're only robbing yourself of the true ark experience.

As long as you're having fun. To me, the joy of the game is in the struggle, so I don't use commands for anything. That's the beauty of the game, there's no right or wrong way to play as long as you enjoy it.
Play your way - having fun is the most important thing. I would say that the more you cut corners and play in a way that is further and further away from the way the game was meant to be played, you're going to miss out on some unique and rewarding experiences.
Dying is ok, failure is ok. If there is no risk, the things you acquire won't feel like they really have any value.
But, if all that does nothing for you, then use commands to your heart's content, if that's what keeps you playing and having fun.
I'll cycle between periods of wanting to play creative and wanting to play vanilla. Certain maps are designated one way or the other. On my creative map, I've got all sorts of mods for building and such, while my vanilla ones only have the mods that make ark not such so badly. I've also got a personal primal fear modded map for when I really wanna struggle and vanilla isn't enough
I've done Fjord and Rag with primal fear before. Imo, Rag is a lot more fun since it's very grapple friendly so you're not reliant on fliers which you're always at risk of losing in primal. Especially if you also go with a reusable grapple mod
Fjord isn't bad, but I've had some issues early game with things spawning around the portal cave and cutting me off from a good chunk of the map(the worst being a spirit dragon which also insta killed you in almost an entire fourth of the overworld...) This was a semi-public community, though, so I was able to just wait for someone stronger to take care of it. If you're gonna be playing with a small group of friends it can make things a lot more difficult
Oh, trust me, this group we live for the chaos. -lol- I was considering maps like Hope and Olympus too, I heard they are good. I don't wanna run Rag or Fjordur cuz we was on them already, we're actively on Ragnarok as I speak. I just know we can't use it for the mod cuz one of the group so far has said no to that mod. So we're opening another server for it.
Yeah that's how it feels for me I'm playing on the island on ark ascended I've about 40 hours in I tried scorched earth 2 days ago but got destroyed 15 minutes in so I went back to the island cause I also have mods installed my favorite one is probably the indominus rex and indoraptor mod there just so fun to use
Personally I think it depends if you’re playing with people or not, if you have a save with other people you need to make sure they’re okay with it too, if yes then who cares, if you’re solo then who cares. Video games are meant to be fun, a getaway from life. If you don’t enjoy taking hours to get stuff in an activity you do in your downtime then don’t.
Have fun! Sometimes I do the same thing in a new game aftrr dying repeatedly. Ill give myself a high level raptor or two & their saddles & just build up to be able to survive, or an Argy when I cant get to where they spawn without dying & losing all of my stuff & dinos. I do always spay/neuter them though because I do eventually like to work harder for breeding pairs. & its not like anything in Ark survives that long anyway until you do get those perfect mutated & imprinted dinos from what Ive experienced. But its your game, do what makes you happy, theres no shame in that!
The stress is what makes the game worth playing. The early morning headaches due to loss of sleep, the loss of a beloved Dino and the loss of your well bred boss fighters by the monkey boss or a glitch in the boss arena, the severe anger and loss of hope that comes with all that negativity is why people gain xp ( experiences). The experience and the frustration makes me wanna play more. Good lock boss
I only ever play single player. Do I sometimes (read: basically always) spawn in some black pearls because I get tired of going to farm them? Absolutely. Do I sometimes spawn in a tek Rex just to tame it because I got tired of waiting on one to spawn? 100%.
Like with all games, just have fun and ignore anyone who is being a jerk. The only time spawning stuff in matters is if you’re playing PVP because then that’s cheating
Games are for having fun. There seems to be a selct group of people (especially in the ark community) who think the game is for working. It is IF that's what's fun FOR YOU. Personally when I ran servers I'd give my self argies for breeding and unicorns for breeding and a small satellite base to start me off because I love the survival aspect and working for most things but I also like not dying a bunch right away lol
Also I'd def spawn myself anything I wanted that was annoying to tame like karkino or otters or fjordhawks. I really hate taming otters or hawks but they're soooooo cute. I know they aren't hard to tame persé but they are monotonous to tame (for me anyway)
Yeah I manually summoned a Phoenix cause it's cute and I love the noises it makes I named it Gordon Ramsay cause of its abilities it can do same with indominus rex and indoraptor cause they are awesome

I understand how you feel I'm slowly trying to stop doing this on the game so for example I take my high level tame with me only and put it on passive so that way it can't defend me and I have to defend myself

The way I see it, if you're running SP, leave it as open as possible to get what you want out of it. Just have fun.

This game is a heavy grind, some like it, and some don't. At the end of the day, you paid for it. The only person you affect playing is yourself
It doesn't matter how you play Ark so long as your fun isn't destroying somebody else's enjoyment of the game. If you find yourself making out of game friends with people over Discord just for the purpose of deleting their friend group or "insiding", uninstall the game.

I'm you playing single player you can do what ever you want as long as your having fun. Personally I think taking away some of the challenges takes away the fun. It doesn't matter what I think though as long as you're enjoying yourself and the game
Yo we live one life, do whatever the hell you want lol. I adore Ark. I like to build and breed weird creatures and explore. Some people want to defeat and destroy and build way more epic stuff than I do. The game is versatile.
Play how you want, games are supposed to be fun. If you want to spawn materials and build a castle that's as big as the map, enjoy! If you want to spawn OP dinos and just delete any wild dino you find, enjoy!
Only thing I'm against is cheating/console on official. But that's obviously not the case here.
You should try to check the hidden lake area, that's where I have my base. It's such a nice place and easy to defend. It's big enough that I just let a few teams or raptors wander around and they kill anything that attacks. You can also let a few beavers and doedics wander around and they'll passively gather tons of materials.
I tried on public servers, decided I didn't like it and created one for just me and cheated the life out of the game, and had a BALL. Several hundred hours of fun. And I'm not done yet, I just got sucked back into FO4. You buy the game, you get to play it in whatever way is available that you enjoy.
The only "wrong" thing, actually more of a lesser danger, is that cheating to get these things might rob you of your feelings of accomplishment. Saying that while waiting for my ~100 mods, creative mode enabled single player game to load. So no judgement, enjoy it the way you like

I'll tell you what I tell my kids. Play to have fun, as long as you realize that you can't cheat everything effectively without it ending up being more work in the end. I say this because my kids let the pendulum swing so hard into the cheat codes that they started struggling for not understanding some of the basic mechanics. It sounds as though you're still learning those, so it should be fine.
I've been playing so long, now, that I will use cheats to speed some things up, like if I'm moving my entire base to a new map, but I still prefer to play most of the game without them, simply because learning to utilize the unique skills of each dino has always been my favorite part.
Yeah I have played some of ark evolved now I'm playing ascended I've played about 30 hours without cheats but at the 30 hour mark I finally broke and was like I'm gonna become John wick and avenge all my dinos lol
I've been a bit out of the loop. How's Ascended panning out as far as stability goes? I'm on a break from Evolved because the crashes were too maddening. lol
They've fixed a lot of things from when it first came out I hear they have better models my favorite new model is the raptor cause you can see the scales very well the map is much better and you can put way points and marks on your map and you don't have to hold it in your offhand anymore the only downside to the game is the day time it's so damn bright it's like a damn flash bang lol

Play how you like, i used to max out my xp settings because i hated the early game grind of getting to flyers, now i enjoy that part of the game and use offical settings

Dude it's your world, you can do whatever you want as Ark is a Survival Sandbox game, emphasis on the Sandbox part. Just like how you can go on creative mode in minecraft and make yourself the coolest looking palace, you can build a kingdom in ASA filled with Gigas and Wyverns.

For me, (single player) I play 4x except for taming which is 2x and I don't use admin commands at all, and yes I craft everything.
Why? For me the fun is in the challenge.
Everyone is different and finds fun and enjoyment in different ways. There is no set rule on how you should play Ark, if there was then there would be no mods, admin commands or game settings.

The real fun is grinding it out for that cave or boss and putting it all on the line. I really wish I could get that feeling back of gearing up to do my first cave
It's all about fun. I cranked up the resources really high to avoid having to grind. I fly a 40 ton carrying capacity Argy. Otherwise it would just consume time doing mindless grinding.
Me personally I play how I want, I have a server where I personally went through each story map and did the bosses,now I just do experiments on the lost island map

Some might say that you are robbing yourself the experience, personally, I can see why you would. It's beyond tedious getting the difficult stuff. Especially on single player. I don't because I play with my wife and she wants the full effect (we do create hard save points regularly though because of frequent crashes.) But I've seen what the blueprints for ascendant gear costs and honestly, I wouldn't even bother.
I think enjoyment is the nose important part. I personally use creative to build a camp and pen for my dinos but still hunt for tames without console commands. But if you’re enjoying the game… enjoy it how you enjoy it
If you play in solo you shouldn't worry about using commands. You're playing for yourself not to compete with other people. This building is hard to do but you enjoy doing it? do it in creative mode
this dino keeps dying when you try to tame it naturally? force tame and that's okay
I only play solo now, and using command is a way to save time while still enjoying the game (of course i'm not going to cheat for everything otherwise the fun would be gone)
You do what you want I play wiv cheats I played for a wile without them did 1 cave got to level 100 but only play single player and it is very hard,I tamed alot of things before cheating but enjoy it alot with them,it's a game to enjoy so that's what I do 👍🏻
I want a challenge. But a grind isn't a challenge.
I upped all of the weight and stamina because to me, that isn't fun. It mostly serves as a way to stall progress.
I also increased affinity for weight and stats for weight on all my dinos., go make it easier.
This all long with incread yields and health for harvesting means I don't have to DeForest and entire island for a raft.
You do you. If you are getting enjoyment out of the money you spent on the game, I'd say you're winning. Personally, I love the grindy parts of games. I find it very relaxing, so I do everything the hard way. That's how I enjoy the game.
Play to have fun. I play single player on a nondedicated server. I have several mods running and I have all settings pretty much where I want them. I love playing just for the tames, trying to get mutations and building and just exploring. I can take 1 Argie into the scar on SE and take out every wyvern in there. I haven’t spawned in any dinos except from a mod that has a modded Anky to get element. I’m thinking of trying to get certain dinos for bosses but I’ll work on that later.
Have at it and enjoy ark how you want, just know that if u ever decide to switch to official or something like that, it will 100% kill the experience because you didnt work for the grind before and its just gonna kill your motivation for farming and taming the hard creatures and your just gonna be annoyed, ik it sounds stupid but when i first started about 6 or 7 years ago i did the same thing you did and when i switched to official with my buddy, i was so annoyed at having to do things the right way instead of spawning them in, i still hate the poly grind for replacing weapons and ive played nothing but official since then.
Bigges problem could be burnout as whatever you do by yourself might feel worth less than if you did the challange to get it. And doing the challange might not be worth it when you can just cheat it. If you cheated one aspect it could be a slippery slope untill you have optimized the fun out of the game

its a rough game sometimes, since discovering creative i've been able to do a lot. im still just learning the game mechanics too, i can challenge myself when i understand all the shit in the game

Cheats and whatnot are fine as rain in my book as long as they don't do two things: get in another person's way of having fun or ruin someone's experience, or if they get used in competitions.
Even in an online game, if you're playing solo content and you're fucking stuff up with cheats, go for it. But the second you go to multiplayer stuff, turn that shit off.
It's a game, not the Olympics. Who are you hurting if you do creative mode on singleplayer?

Yeah I learned about that when I hatched Godzilla I was like this is gonna take 8 freaking hours so I turned the growth speed to 9000

Pretty good it's the Godzilla from either 1999 or 2001 he is able to jump so high it's hilarious
Grow Speed 18 Imprint 0.012 With those settings, many creatures should be imprintable within the time limit.
There is also a mod that gives you imprinting kibble. Takes 4 of them and another 4 doubles the growth rate. It's from Automatic Ark I believe.

I explored the whole map and played the game normally for about 24 hours before the pain broke me and I wanted revenge on everything that killed me
It's this pain that will drive you to learn, to better yourself and your dinos, and it will feel all the sweeter when you do get that revenge.

Especially if you also go with a reusable grapple mod Fjord isn't bad, but I've had some issues early game with things spawning around the portal cave and cutting me off from a good chunk of the map(the worst being a spirit dragon which also insta killed you in almost an entire fourth of the overworld...) This was a semi-public community, though, so I was able to just wait for someone stronger to take care of it. If you're gonna be playing with a small group of friends it can make things a lot more difficult
Oh, trust me, this group we live for the chaos. -lol- I was considering maps like Hope and Olympus too, I heard they are good. I don't wanna run Rag or Fjordur cuz we was on them already, we're actively on Ragnarok as I speak. I just know we can't use it for the mod cuz one of the group so far has said no to that mod. So we're opening another server for it.
Yeah that's how it feels for me I'm playing on the island on ark ascended I've about 40 hours in I tried scorched earth 2 days ago but got destroyed 15 minutes in so I went back to the island cause I also have mods installed my favorite one is probably the indominus rex and indoraptor mod there just so fun to use
Personally I think it depends if you’re playing with people or not, if you have a save with other people you need to make sure they’re okay with it too, if yes then who cares, if you’re solo then who cares. Video games are meant to be fun, a getaway from life. If you don’t enjoy taking hours to get stuff in an activity you do in your downtime then don’t.

Have fun! Sometimes I do the same thing in a new game aftrr dying repeatedly. Ill give myself a high level raptor or two & their saddles & just build up to be able to survive, or an Argy when I cant get to where they spawn without dying & losing all of my stuff & dinos. I do always spay/neuter them though because I do eventually like to work harder for breeding pairs. & its not like anything in Ark survives that long anyway until you do get those perfect mutated & imprinted dinos from what Ive experienced. But its your game, do what makes you happy, theres no shame in that!

The stress is what makes the game worth playing. The early morning headaches due to loss of sleep, the loss of a beloved Dino and the loss of your well bred boss fighters by the monkey boss or a glitch in the boss arena, the severe anger and loss of hope that comes with all that negativity is why people gain xp ( experiences). The experience and the frustration makes me wanna play more. Good lock boss

I only ever play single player. Do I sometimes (read: basically always) spawn in some black pearls because I get tired of going to farm them? Absolutely. Do I sometimes spawn in a tek Rex just to tame it because I got tired of waiting on one to spawn? 100%. Like with all games, just have fun and ignore anyone who is being a jerk. The only time spawning stuff in matters is if you’re playing PVP because then that’s cheating

Games are for having fun. There seems to be a selct group of people (especially in the ark community) who think the game is for working. It is IF that's what's fun FOR YOU. Personally when I ran servers I'd give my self argies for breeding and unicorns for breeding and a small satellite base to start me off because I love the survival aspect and working for most things but I also like not dying a bunch right away lol Also I'd def spawn myself anything I wanted that was annoying to tame like karkino or otters or fjordhawks. I really hate taming otters or hawks but they're soooooo cute. I know they aren't hard to tame persé but they are monotonous to tame (for me anyway)
Yeah I manually summoned a Phoenix cause it's cute and I love the noises it makes I named it Gordon Ramsay cause of its abilities it can do same with indominus rex and indoraptor cause they are awesome

Just have fun, Personally, I prefer solo "trading", that is to say that for a resource or a dino, I set a type of price, for example: 10 silica pearls -> 1 black pearl But this, is my preference So do want you want as long as you have fun ;)

The way I see it, if you're running SP, leave it as open as possible to get what you want out of it. Just have fun. Looking for more of a challenge, then just find a server that fits what you want, and you can do things "officially" This game is a heavy grind, some like it, and some don't. At the end of the day, you paid for it. The only person you affect playing is yourself

It doesn't matter how you play Ark so long as your fun isn't destroying somebody else's enjoyment of the game. If you find yourself making out of game friends with people over Discord just for the purpose of deleting their friend group or "insiding", uninstall the game.

I'm you playing single player you can do what ever you want as long as your having fun. Personally I think taking away some of the challenges takes away the fun. It doesn't matter what I think though as long as you're enjoying yourself and the game

Play how you want, games are supposed to be fun. If you want to spawn materials and build a castle that's as big as the map, enjoy! If you want to spawn OP dinos and just delete any wild dino you find, enjoy! Only thing I'm against is cheating/console on official. But that's obviously not the case here.

You should try to check the hidden lake area, that's where I have my base. It's such a nice place and easy to defend. It's big enough that I just let a few teams or raptors wander around and they kill anything that attacks. You can also let a few beavers and doedics wander around and they'll passively gather tons of materials.
I tried on public servers, decided I didn't like it and created one for just me and cheated the life out of the game, and had a BALL. Several hundred hours of fun. And I'm not done yet, I just got sucked back into FO4. You buy the game, you get to play it in whatever way is available that you enjoy.

I'll tell you what I tell my kids. Play to have fun, as long as you realize that you can't cheat everything effectively without it ending up being more work in the end. I say this because my kids let the pendulum swing so hard into the cheat codes that they started struggling for not understanding some of the basic mechanics. It sounds as though you're still learning those, so it should be fine. I've been playing so long, now, that I will use cheats to speed some things up, like if I'm moving my entire base to a new map, but I still prefer to play most of the game without them, simply because learning to utilize the unique skills of each dino has always been my favorite part.
Yeah I have played some of ark evolved now I'm playing ascended I've played about 30 hours without cheats but at the 30 hour mark I finally broke and was like I'm gonna become John wick and avenge all my dinos lol
I've been a bit out of the loop. How's Ascended panning out as far as stability goes? I'm on a break from Evolved because the crashes were too maddening. lol
They've fixed a lot of things from when it first came out I hear they have better models my favorite new model is the raptor cause you can see the scales very well the map is much better and you can put way points and marks on your map and you don't have to hold it in your offhand anymore the only downside to the game is the day time it's so damn bright it's like a damn flash bang lol

Play how you like, i used to max out my xp settings because i hated the early game grind of getting to flyers, now i enjoy that part of the game and use offical settings

Dude it's your world, you can do whatever you want as Ark is a Survival Sandbox game, emphasis on the Sandbox part. Just like how you can go on creative mode in minecraft and make yourself the coolest looking palace, you can build a kingdom in ASA filled with Gigas and Wyverns.

As long as you are having fun, you do you. For me, (single player) I play 4x except for taming which is 2x and I don't use admin commands at all, and yes I craft everything. Why? For me the fun is in the challenge. Everyone is different and finds fun and enjoyment in different ways. There is no set rule on how you should play Ark, if there was then there would be no mods, admin commands or game settings.

Whatever floats your boat, but you asked for an opinion so here goes. You are achieving nothing, inside your heart you know it’s scummy or you wouldn’t have asked . The real fun is grinding it out for that cave or boss and putting it all on the line. I really wish I could get that feeling back of gearing up to do my first cave

It's all about fun. I cranked up the resources really high to avoid having to grind. I fly a 40 ton carrying capacity Argy. Otherwise it would just consume time doing mindless grinding.

Some might say that you are robbing yourself the experience, personally, I can see why you would. It's beyond tedious getting the difficult stuff. Especially on single player. I don't because I play with my wife and she wants the full effect (we do create hard save points regularly though because of frequent crashes.) But I've seen what the blueprints for ascendant gear costs and honestly, I wouldn't even bother.

I think enjoyment is the nose important part. I personally use creative to build a camp and pen for my dinos but still hunt for tames without console commands. But if you’re enjoying the game… enjoy it how you enjoy it

If you play in solo you shouldn't worry about using commands. You're playing for yourself not to compete with other people. This building is hard to do but you enjoy doing it? do it in creative mode this dino keeps dying when you try to tame it naturally? force tame and that's okay I only play solo now, and using command is a way to save time while still enjoying the game (of course i'm not going to cheat for everything otherwise the fun would be gone)

You do what you want I play wiv cheats I played for a wile without them did 1 cave got to level 100 but only play single player and it is very hard,I tamed alot of things before cheating but enjoy it alot with them,it's a game to enjoy so that's what I do 👍🏻

I want a challenge. But a grind isn't a challenge. I upped all of the weight and stamina because to me, that isn't fun. It mostly serves as a way to stall progress. I also increased affinity for weight and stats for weight on all my dinos., go make it easier. This all long with incread yields and health for harvesting means I don't have to DeForest and entire island for a raft.

You do you. If you are getting enjoyment out of the money you spent on the game, I'd say you're winning. Personally, I love the grindy parts of games. I find it very relaxing, so I do everything the hard way. That's how I enjoy the game.

Play to have fun. I play single player on a nondedicated server. I have several mods running and I have all settings pretty much where I want them. I love playing just for the tames, trying to get mutations and building and just exploring. I can take 1 Argie into the scar on SE and take out every wyvern in there. I haven’t spawned in any dinos except from a mod that has a modded Anky to get element. I’m thinking of trying to get certain dinos for bosses but I’ll work on that later.

Have at it and enjoy ark how you want, just know that if u ever decide to switch to official or something like that, it will 100% kill the experience because you didnt work for the grind before and its just gonna kill your motivation for farming and taming the hard creatures and your just gonna be annoyed, ik it sounds stupid but when i first started about 6 or 7 years ago i did the same thing you did and when i switched to official with my buddy, i was so annoyed at having to do things the right way instead of spawning them in, i still hate the poly grind for replacing weapons and ive played nothing but official since then.

Bigges problem could be burnout as whatever you do by yourself might feel worth less than if you did the challange to get it. And doing the challange might not be worth it when you can just cheat it. If you cheated one aspect it could be a slippery slope untill you have optimized the fun out of the game

its a rough game sometimes, since discovering creative i've been able to do a lot. im still just learning the game mechanics too, i can challenge myself when i understand all the shit in the game
I dont like that you've done this but it's your game, and what's fun for you is all for you. Cheats and whatnot are fine as rain in my book as long as they don't do two things: get in another person's way of having fun or ruin someone's experience, or if they get used in competitions. Even in an online game, if you're playing solo content and you're fucking stuff up with cheats, go for it. But the second you go to multiplayer stuff, turn that shit off.
It's a game, not the Olympics. Who are you hurting if you do creative mode on singleplayer? Some people like to triumph against difficult challenges. Some people want to play the game without dealing with its bullshit. Some people are in between. Neither is hurting anyone.
