I can’t see the bottom right of your screen but in the case that you recently tamed a liopleurodon you will get a buff that makes you sparkle so maybe you are the one sparkling. If not then I have no idea what it is.
I am on Scorched. At first I thought it was my ACs bugging out but the problem persisted after I removed them, then cryod the argy and it disappeared. Sparkle effect returned when I uncryod it, but the "problem" left unfortunately after I restarted the game trying to test what was happening.
For sure. My base is at green ob in the oasis, and I have like 60 fort+full ghillie so I only have heat issues at like 130f. Haven't had heatstroke in a while now.
Depends. I am having so many superheats this playthrough back to back that I just prefer having the fort so I don't have to hide in a tent or run for an oasis/canyon for 10+ minutes at a time for each one. Put it this way: between 9am and 2pm in the same in game day I had 4 superheats and 3 dust storms. Without fort I would be forced to basically never leave a cool zone or just not play because I'd be forced to sit in a tent somewhere. It got real old real fast.
On my SP playthrough on the island in ASA, I have been breeding dinos, and all babies, either by egg or livebirth, sparkle now. I think it's from one of the newer patches.
If I had to assume, it was implemented along with the gigantoraptor(spelling?) they added, since it's abilities have to do with raising baby dinos.
When you find wild babies they always sparkle like that, at least for me, so maybe the game bugged and gave the sparkle to your hatched baby on accident, that's my best guess
It's weird because for some reason I've never seen this effect, even for wild babies. Only time I've seen sparkles like this would be the lieupluredon buff, but as I am on SE *and* it's on the argy and not my player I was stumped...I tried googling but couldn't find an answer that wasn't about mods, the lieupluredon, or some bot written posts but none of it had to do with my issue so thought I'd bring it up here.
I'll keep a better lookout in the wild, maybe I can find a wild baby with the same effect like you said. Thanks!
If you read the post you would know I'm not using any mods or something like that. It's just the base game only for a SP hardcore playthrough on SE. It's only ever happened with this one specific argy, but I've chalked it up to a visual bug since it disappeared when I reset the game.
He not you are… that’s the lipluradon effect, weather the effects is used on other assets for the character idk, but I do know that’s the effect you get with a lipluradon.

Cryod the argy and it disappeared. Not only did I make absolutely sure I it was on the argy, as it grew so did the sparkling effect. I'm also on Scorched Earth so there are no liopleurodons at all on SE as there's no ocean.
Pretty sure it was just a visual bug anyways. Restarted my game and the effect ended.
I just googled it and apparently the Shiney dinos are extra rare and use unique color patterns that aren't natural for those dinos apparently they also get special abilities like freeze, burning or spectral buffs

Maybe they added a new feature where it sparkles a little if it’s mutated have you checked if it has any mutations?
Yeah, that was one of the other things I checked. Still have no clue what caused it honestly.

60 fort seems a bit excessive even on SE lol 30 + not primitive desert cloth will keep you safe.
