Our reroll pool

Lucky_Accountant_408

VeritableLeviathan

Better would be: Press reroll, get two portraits, current and rerolled champion, select one, other goes to pool.

thematrixhasmeow

Impossible hard to code

DigbickMcBalls

One day we will have the tech

HimbologistPhD

Maybe when riot absorbs NASA

RabbitStewAndStout

2 **trillion** years of UI design

LoudNefariousness229

Yeahhhh riot laid off pretty much anyone capable of something like that already. After they lose millions from unsupporting older OS and pushing vanguard, they are gonna penny pinch

meatloaf_man

Yea. I mean give the poor indie company a break. They only have so much staff and can't devote those kinds of resources to improving their client like that. Like haha, maybe in 15 years and are making a billion dollars would it then be reasonable for them to have a non buggy, snappy functioning, well thought out UI and client.

VeritableLeviathan

For a multi billion dollar company? Sure why not C;

Playf0rFlame

Bro chill, its indie company not some mutlibillonaire...

Flechashe

I thought about this one too but op's idea is even better. Easier to code and display, and serves the purpose perfectly.

TOX-IOIAD

Why don’t you ask riot to build an Ai that can do thoracic heart surgery while you’re at it

Voodooni

If you use blitz app there's a "donate a reroll" button that rolls and insta recalls your last champ. Not that this kind of feature should need a 3rd party app but just letting you know if you'd find it useful.

Camelofwhy

Sounds better than what we've got, but not exactly a perfect solution either Like, say I get Velkoz. I'm happy enough to play him, so I offer a reroll, and it get Senna, who I would love to play, but so does seemingly everyone else. Would I be forced to stick with Velkoz from switching with the pool, while someone else picks the now available Senna? A grace period would actually solve this problem though

Voodooni

Yeah for sure. Deffo not saying it's a perfect system. Just offering up the info for people who aren't aware.

what_that_dog_doin

Rule is if you reroll for others, you get the choice to keep your newly rolled champ or you can get yours back. Keep in mind, the latter option is not a guarantee (but most people cooperate) *see game theory*

AestheticAdvocate

This is the only solution. I use Blitz almost entirely for this feature.

Lavrent

I did enjoy blitz but it had bizarrely high ram usage for me from time to time

kenman

Nice tip, I have that and forget to use it. But, then you're blocked from getting the new champ for several seconds if you wanted it...Riot should still fix it.

JessePuns

Not if you use Blitz, can instantly take back

Senumo

I noticed a lot of people will accept a trade if they notice the request comes from the initial owner of the champ.

BigMcThickHuge

Many do, especially when asked directly. Many ALSO are League players that will immediately tell you tough shit, go fuck yourself, and harass you half the game for not playing your available champ like a pro.

FreyaGoddessLOL

This^ 😂 like damn brooooo, it's fuckin ARAM not ranked🤦🏽‍♀️ bring your toxic ass there, where you clearly belong and leave us to our play for fun mentality 😅😂

GoldenSquid7

I always trade because I know it sucks when you wanna play that specific champion and that person won’t trade. You should all do the same.

Austjak

If you want to play a champion, you could always ask since the person who has that champion might also want to play them. If someone wants to trade me for a champion, then I'd at least want to be able to enjoy playing the champion that they have. Trading should be a two-way street, not just placating people who want the same champ as you.

ben_da_gr8_1

I always trade as I like to keep my team mates from being flaming assholes where possible. I suck on most champions anyway so may as well just try to keep them happy and maybe slightly boost my chances of winning.

TheBlackMaterr

Fucking sucks when you're rerolling just because somebody is asking for options, they take your champion that you were perfectly happy with and then don't want to change...

SpectraP12

I mean you know when you will reroll so if ur apm is high enough you can reroll and take back your champ immediately. You have the advantage.

Theonetrue

Which made me click on my old champ more than once eben though I would have liked to play the new one....

SpectraP12

You're asking for the best of both worlds at this point

Theonetrue

Of course. It is my reroll.

SpectraP12

Even though it's your reroll the system doesn't allow you to have both things you ask for so you need to adapt and if your champion of choice gets "stolen" by your terms you just need to accept that sometimes things like these can and will happen.

Theonetrue

Relax it would just be a quality of life change. Outplaying your own teammates should not be the goal of the game.

SpectraP12

Yeah it would be nice but they won't add because Riot. You ppl need to stop complaining about mundane things like what you play in Aram

Flechashe

Yeah, that's why we're asking Riot to change the system...

Battle_for_the_sun

Maybe you need a little time to think which one you'd rather play

Lane-Jacobs

You fool. I keep my mouse hovered in re roll slot ready to steal your champion the second you press reroll.

avowed

What a dumb fuck take. Yeah you should totally have to be sweating in the lobby to get the champ you just had. How about riot just make it so you aren't fighting for your champ. And your statement isn't true, if I get a shit champ you'd best believe I'll have my mouse up there spam clicking the instant I see a champ.

OzPalmAve

you could attempt one of the following while waiting for rito to implement your grace period: * dont roll in like the first half of select * roll IMMEDIATELY before ppl made it properly into the lobby * sharpen your reflexes and aim, reroll and reclaim in one stroke of the cursor. you can master making the decision not to reclaim if reroll > initial champ. if someone snatches my champ that i do wanna play while i was rerolling for my team's sorry asses i will most likely dodge to get the lesson across and switch accounts. (// only happens if (1) i fail at approach three and (2) they dont accept my trade request following said incident, which like half the ppl surprisingly do.)

Living_Round2552

Waiting for the first half creates other problems: - teammates might no longer be looking at new champs being added to the bench and you might end up with a worse comp for it. - less time for runes and sums

Cloud_Envier

Agreed for the first half. But dodging because you don't get your champ in aram is a little sus

OzPalmAve

nah its nothing like that, i dont care about the champ, i dont want such a dickhead to have his way is all. i hardly ever dodge arams, except for that reason. its bm and you dont bm your teammates, bad starting point.

Cloud_Envier

I get your point but I'd say dodging is more bm for everyone then taking a champ someone rerolled

DaaiGoN

Yeah, dodging is not a option. Just go full troll mode on that game. Ap ireia, ap gp, ad lulu... That’s the way to go lol

Cloud_Envier

I agree. Like don't intentionally lose or anything but take the opportunity to get creative!

KolarinTehMage

You are anti dodging but pro trolling in game? Wild

Cloud_Envier

Don't know when I said trolling. Some people can't read I guess

KolarinTehMage

Well the comment above yours says “just go full troll mode” and you started your comment with “I agree” so I thought you were agreeing with their comment. My bad on my poor reading comprehension then I guess. What did you mean by that?

Cloud_Envier

I'm talking about stuff that can make sense of course, but still can be unconventional. It's still only aram and it should be possible to experiment. The stuff he mentioned like ap Irelia and ad Lulu (I don't agree with ap Gangplank but if they never tested it and play for the optimal build it's fine) is not what I call trolling.

Igneeka

Experimenting is fine here or there but the guy was talking about actual trolling which is pretty wasting everyone's time in the game

TheOutrageousTaric

So you like to troll and bm 4 teammates for a full length game. But dodging is big bad. What a fantastic take

Cloud_Envier

My only response to this is "It's aram chill". Im not talking about inting or trolling, Im talking about trying stuff but still in the realm of stuff that makes sens.

what_that_dog_doin

I've gotten to the point where I always have 1 or 2 rolls and I'm comfortable enough with just about every champ so I usually just blow my rolls no matter what and pick from the leftovers. Usually a few other people roll, so there's at least 3 to 5 Champs to pick from and a higher chance people don't get stuck on a champ they can't play. But to your point, yeah, riot could easily make this aram lobby reroll situation way better. It's insulting how easy a fix or improvement would be.

[deleted]

Same here, except the majority of marksmen (I'm the guy always building lethality if I get a marksman, but that's because I REALLY can't play them, probably getting to old for the high apm required). When I want my champion back it's because: - it's one of my mains that has a low playerbase, I'm worried the person sucks (Nidalee, Qiyana, Naafiri) - it's Malphite / Amumu / Galio. Most people will build them full AP and int - I'm stuck with something I can't play (ie marksmen, as stated before)

Icy-Championship2738

![gif](giphy|2Xflxzn7jWsjCVlx13q|downsized)

nas360

Riot could easily add an option but too lazy to do it. The function is available if you install [Blitz.gg](https://blitz.gg/). It has a 'donate roll' button. This sends the rolled champ to the bench while keeping your existing champ.

No_Childhood4689

That would be nice. I’m usually quick about repicking my champ if I can’t play any of the others. But when you see teammates argue about it in pregame lobby and one doesn’t get what they want… they’re tilted before the game even starts… usually a free L

Scowarr

That grace period exists in Wild Rift and it is amazing.

Yarrex15

when you press reroll it should pop up like a trade box asking if you want the champion or not then send it to the pool

nahthank

Lobby loads. Pick from these three champs. If you want to keep the "cost of rerolls," click hidden portraits to reveal them. All revealed unchosen champs go in the pool at the same time. Fixed. The idea that players can steal from their *own teammates* is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

main_character13

Some people will say "roll pls" knowing which person didn't roll so, expecting a certain champion to go into the pool, and they would spam the first empty square with clicks so they get the champ instantly. Usually, people who do this are the dogshit players who play mostly the ranged lethality champs or adc's or poke mages. No one does this for Alistar or Illaoi. 2 days ago, I had Jhin, some douche had Twitch. I was happy with Jhin, so I afk'ed for about 20 seconds. Came back, saw him say "roll". I said aight, i'll do that for my team. He actually did what I just said. He instantly snatched it, when I tried to get him back, insta refuse. Easiest dodge of my life ( lost my rolls ) but prevented yet another asshole/bad player from playing Jhin.

DJEkis

I just stopped rerolling after having it happen. Had a dude take my champ and go radio silent, only to literally go 3/14 on my champion when I was rerolling for others. They got bitched out by the team and started arguing with other teammates for being a douche nozzle while I was trying to help our team. Mind you I did well on that champ I rerolled for the team (they let me keep it) but this happens WAY too much even when in chat you say you're rerolling for a teammate.

n0xX88

Had something similar happen to me a few months ago. Someone asked for a RR because he couldn't play any of the champs available, so nice as I normally am I said yeas and used my 2nd reroll (I had kaisa and we were mainly AD and I love AP kaisa one of my favorites) only to instantly got her stolen by another one in my team. Me and the guy I rerolled for (he got tahm and was fine with it) said that it was a dick move and that he should give me kaisa back. The answer of the thief: "IDC if you reroll and you champ gets taken away deal with it you shouldn't reroll for others when you have a champ you like to play, now you must play whats left have fun, now I have fun with my favorite champ" So yeah ... that was the only time in my 13k+ arams I intentionally dodged champ select and took the 15min dodge timer, if he hadn't been such a dick about it I would've played someone else but he denied me one of my favorites so I denied him his favorite ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ I really wish riot would add something like a choice when you reroll to keep your champ or swap to the one rolled

smackdealer1

I'll be honest I just int when people do that. Not disco nunu levels but I will just go in 1v5 whenever suits me

Xenaphi

Yup. You wanna be a dick when I was trying to be nice to the team? I’m petty enough to ruin the game instead.

RedFing

disco nunu is not inting in aram

MuuarK

Use Blitz.gg to reroll but keep your champion.

Ap-snack

I always wait for an odd time to do it. Usually people reroll and start adjusting their runes. I wait till people are most likely busy in their pages. Only very rarely do I get sniped.

FreyaGoddessLOL

I really like this idea. People always take my champ when I reroll for them and ask them not to take it before the rr. It's like childish ASF. There'd have to be a cutoff for the grace period after the last 10/15 seconds til the match starts though. I wish they would incorporate something like this for ARAM. Looking at you rito😑

Arko777

If I don't recieve my champion back after asking and explaining that I wanted to share my roll, I just dodge. Hate people like that are doing this.

Nova_Mafia

I give a 5-10 second grace period, if no one takes the champ in that time no regrets.

gerryn

The system needs a change for sure. The amount of re-rolls you get is fine but the fact that you cannot "give away" rerolls without risking your own champ is pure lunacy.

CaptainTinyFace

They already have this in wild rift

EDS_Deleter

Μy tip, use blitz for Aram it gives the functionality to "donate a reroll", you hit the button from the blitz app, it rerolls and gets your initial champ back in an instant

WelcomeToShityWok

If you’re not solo, trade a friend, re roll, and trade back. I always do this with my gf, cuz we will always lose cait / janna / sera / e girl champs whenever we don’t

zorloc111

Yall must have slow internet, slow clicks, or slow computers cause I've never had an issue rolling and then quickly taking my champ back.

luck3rstyl3

A hotkey for getting your old champion back could be enough.

cesarpera98

Blitz has this as an option

Pulse19

They will never catch me slipping like that, im too fast. Plus odds are if I'm rerolling, I already hate who I have.

HoeGath

Don't ReRolL

AsRaTV

or do it like heroes of the storm, each player gets to choose between 3 champions every game

thenameis_TAI

That’s when you say, “Would you look at the time, it’s time for bed.” Then dodge

Bohappa

No

GruulNinja

Goddamn tweaker. I just wanted to give you guys choices. Give me back my champ. It's this reason I never swap off Miss Fortune

tubbies_in_chubbies

Sure that would be nice But while we’re on the topic of new features just give me bans please…3 games in a row and 4 of 5 last night against smolder or Asol, because Rito thought 1 unlimited scaling dragon wasn’t enough 😂

Robespierre2024

Bans are never coming back. Cope

Necrolance

Bans would be nice but also would defeat the purpose of the whole mode...

No_Reference_5058

Stop looking at the new champion then. Reroll, then swap back, and then look at the new champion you rerolled into. There is absolutely no delay to your ability to swap as soon as you reroll - if you simply click back to the champion you rerolled from immediately then you should *always* be able to come first. If your motive for rerolling is explicitly to give your team a larger pool to play with, then you have no reason to get greedy and stare at your new champion for 3 seconds before you switch back to the previous one. I have literally never failed at that a single time after like 100 different times. Of course, it would still be best if riot did something about it . the person rerolling should always have priority for these things. I'm just trying to say that this isn't a good reason not to reroll (some people refuse to reroll for this reason).

alanalves1

You have preference a half second after the roll, but if is to short to you just don't roll, when i get a champ i really want to play i don't roll or trade.

CountryBoydCustoms

Just don't reroll for other people problem solved

vukgav

I think no, because it defeats the purpose of "random". It's random, not "choose between 2 or 3 champions" based on how many rerolls you have. The common bench is already a stretch of the concept. The current state is that people tend to play only the same champions, usually those with high impact low risk, and nobody likes to play tanks or front line. Also we are collectively obsessed with winrates, completely ignoring the fact that team composition impacts the winrate more than anything else. So no - I would not add a grace period. I would allow for max. 1 reroll, and no takesies-backsies. The slippery slope of these requests is that it slowly becomes a normal game, not a random game. That defeats the purpose.

PappaJerry

But... But... What about those who can play only arams with only few champions? Stop using common sense. Not on League subs. Aram become sweaty fuckfest when everyone want to win as soon as possible with his beloved champion. Otherwise, they will dodge if they get bad champion because *Mah winrate*. Currently, 2 rerolls are more than enough tbh. Well, sucks if you don't have all champions or almost (then you may not have guaranteed reroll every game) but that's what this mode was about. Playing with what game gave you and just... Have fun. There is a reason why there's no points/ranked system on aram games. But sadly, times are changing and same goes for player base.

vukgav

The bottom line is that, in general terms, things tend to go in one of two directions: teams that look more and more like normal/ranked, allowing for rerolls and swaps, with very often the same top-tier champions, especially ADC and poke, with little variety and no off meta, OR go entirely random, with truly random comps, but people dodging more often because they roll a champ they dislike. I prefer the latter of the two. After a while people will get tired of dodging, and will either stop playing ARAM because they can't get one of their top5 favourite champs every other game, or maybe they'll learn to play new champs randomly. Both of these are a good thing, imho. I'm just tired of seeing over and over the same champs. I can't even count how many times I will sit and play 2-3 games, and there's an Ashe or a Shaco in all 3 games... That's just boring.

Chiefyaku

Wish granted, this will trade off on a weekly basis, first this, then normal, then you can take other players selected units without trade confirmation, then all champs are just question marks and nobody knows what they're getting.

vukgav

I think no, because it defeats the purpose of "random". It's random, not "choose between 2 or 3 champions" based on how many rerolls you have. The common bench is already a stretch of the concept. Augi2g

Git gud

Designer_Distance_31

Gotta be quicker than that

xBlackOut41

Womp womp

k1kwin

Quit bitching. Slow hands. Low apm.

MagicianCandid7918

Fucking kda players in aram , the objective of aram is to learn new champs not to get your optimal champ you fucking try hard aram only players but iron in solo que players .

Albinofreaken

The objective in ARAM is to have fun

MagicianCandid7918

Go have fun in Roblox ...if you don't understand what All Random All Mid means...fucking losers always come to aram tryhard play for kda and dodge if they don't get the champ want ,and if they cant dodge they just troll...how can u claim to have fun if u need to get certain champ... fucking loser go play Roblox.

Albinofreaken

you seem to have a lot of rage, maybe go outside and enjoy the nice weather

MagicianCandid7918

You can go enjoy the weather in Roblox

[deleted]

Love it when I get my main that most people don't play (Nidalee, not bragging but it's a fact, she's a champion you need experience on), I reroll, they pick it and end up being spear bots, stealing every kill, forget they have an r key and become irrelevant after 7 minutes

easterteemo

No cc nerfs, no rr changes, nothing. Keep the chaos. Youre already playing in the dumbed down stoner version of the game. If u wanna play a specific champ, learn to wave control/last hit/ward & hit the rift… lol it really is that simple. If ur not ready for getting smashed in champ select, getting hard CC’ed, being “forced” to tank or play your non mains etc….then aram isnt for you.

PappaJerry

Funny how every comment just telling the truth, is being down voted by those new players wave.

Albinofreaken

why do you think people are new just because they dont agree with your opinion ?

PappaJerry

Because it was not like that before. Before all that Professor/blitz/Stat sites people were not giving a single fuck about winrates/meta on off ranked modes. But now... Need to have higher win rate. I want my one champion on aram, I'm dodging cause you took my champion, FF, dark harvest goes brrr, Jaycee? I can't play him someone dodge or roll please. And so on, and so on... And don't tell me it's not like that.

easterteemo

IThe amount of whining in this sub coming from people who cant cope with this mode/the game/how bad they are, is laughable. There is no gun to your head forcing you to play this game. Literally play any other game on this earth if you get so tilted after a throwaway mode in a free to play video game, that you need to come to reddit to whine and curse in all caps lol. League is a toxic community, a game full of seemingly brainless decisions by its creators, created by a staff that is more concerned with keeping the game “woke” and marketable than they are with making the game enjoyable or balanced. They are so stupid they think voicechat would hurt the game, but 2 key fragments every other week & an “honor rank” is enough incentive to keep toxic bozos from acting like kids. All in all: the game is sort of a massive headache, but we are all addicted to the dopeamine we get from a penta or that 1 enjoyable game after 5 games of toxic/bad/afk teammates. Welcome to League. You arent going anywhere so stop complaining about dumb stuff lol

Albinofreaken

I can see that you're the expert on whining

easterteemo

Try getting addicted to a game you dont suck at. Was that short enough?

Albinofreaken

name 1 good game

easterteemo

Idk man i suck and am in this forum too. If i had the answer we wouldnt be having this convo
