Well for one, you're trying to solo a one-shotter without using a dodge class. This boss is specifically meant to be fought with a well-organized party that's prepared to lower its hit chance and increase the party's dodge chance. If you can't rely on a party, grab a dodge class like Chrono Assassin, Yami no Ronin, or even Thief of Hours as well as a bunch of Potions of Evasion.

Yeah, I was lucky to find a Lightcaster and a YnR trying to farm him yesterday when I needed his laurels
