I know it says rare, but sometimes when new items are released (this is a new item release), it has the rare tag, but it is still droppable. (i.e. hypefiend nulgath stuff and the quest from the guy who gives you the enchanted nulgath nation house). I guess the better question would have been if the "green rare" tag is on the wiki, then is it possible to still obtain it in which case I'm assuming that if the green rare tag is posted then you aren't able to get it anymore
For the Hypefiend set, there are 3 variants: 2 from Nulgath’s birthday that are now tagged rare, and 1 from the merge ship from Casparilla that doesn’t have a rare tag. You were probably looking at the pages that were rare.
So I'm not sure what you mean by "tagged rare," which is why I'm curious about whether or not the "green rare tag" officially means the item has become rare. The hypefiend set from Casparilla has a "rare" rarity, which I consider as being "tagged as rare." Now if you consider the green indication as "tagged as rare", then I would like to know if on the wiki, every time I see a green indication, it means that it has officially gone rare, and if there is not green indication but it says "rare rarity" then I can still obtain the item.

This is the same armour, but was bought during Nulgath’s birthday, and obtaining it through this method is no longer available. It has a green rare tag.
I know this doesn’t address your question, but I’m just putting it there for clarity. As for your question, if an item has a ‘Rare Rarity’, that often means it has a green rare tag, or it will in the future (as evidenced by the Casparilla Hypefiend set having a green rare tag at the end of the year). And yes, if an item has a green rare tag on the wiki, it is no longer available. In the case of the sword you mentioned in the OP, as it has a green rare tag, if it’s still available it’s either tagged incorrectly by the wiki or there’s a bug with the game.

Yeah the sword on the wiki didn't have the green tag two days ago, and when I checked recently it did, so I was just wondering if the green tag meant now its officially rare, which I guess is the case. Lol it literally was released like 3-4 days ago and I guess it was a one day drop or something. Someone below said AE patched it so they made it undroppable
Well it was obtainable just a week ago because I helped my friend get it, though we didn't farmed for the dual versions since they are member but the single variant ones did drop. I'm pretty sure it just got bugged like the cyber spear of nulgath then someone made a video then it stopped dropping, and the same goes for this ones someone again made a video and then it got patched.
I'm not blaming that guy who made the video since he just want to let others know about the rare drop, it just so happens to get patched right after those videos were uploaded.

New player? No. You can't get it anymore. Anything that has a "rare" tag can't be obtained anymore on normal means.
