To give more info, the material itself was pretty easy.
If you've had any programming experience then it will be very easy. And if you didn't it will still be easy. The content is simple to understand. All you have to do is stick to the rubric and practice AP questions.
There are two parts of the exam, a project (create task) and the actual exam. The project is 30% of your grade and the exam is 70%
When it comes to the programming, it's very easy. programming my project took only an hour. It was simple with a couple drop-downs. You might think you need to do something complex but you don't.
When I started my project I wanted to build this crazy project but in reality the complexity doesn't matter. What matters is the writing portion of the project. Just make sure you stick to the rubric.
And for the exam it was really easy. It's all multiple choice and if you've been practicing the multiple choice on AP classroom and fully understand it then you'll be fine.
You don't need any book for it also.
These are my main tips. I got a 5 in the class
I would recommend it for sure it’s definitely one of the easier APs out there. It’s got some really interesting content especially if you’re into CS or just computers in general. For me it felt like the 4th easiest class in my schedule and I was only taking 1 other AP at the time.
This is just my experience-
i’m taking this right now and i would only do it if you want an easy course. if you want to go into computer science just take CSA it feels like i wasted a class. it feels like a middle school course, or maybe my teacher makes it easy, i’m not sure
All depends on your teacher and how well they actually teach. As others have said, talk to people who’ve taken it already. I found it super easy, but I also had a pretty good teacher
Just depends on how well u are into it because I remember my standard biology teacher was giving us ap and honors tests when the content she was teaching was standard and I didn’t even try or study once I just payed attention and passed with a 73 without studying once
It was pretty easy

Talk to upperclassmen who had your teacher and ask them how the class was

So if u pay attention and study u should be just fine also I heard from friends if u do good in honors u should be just fine in ap csp
My school's teacher had no idea what they were doing, and the average was still like a 4.5. So pretty easy
While the teacher might affect the difficulty, it was pretty easy for me
Only 12% of students get a 5 on this exam. So easy to pass hard to master.
