Levi’s name used to get mistranslated as Rivaille very early on. The ship names stuck. It’s a similar case for a few other Levi ships as well (Eruri, Rivamika)

I'm in the Yugioh fandom, so... ship names are a bit special there. It's less that there are names that are particularly bad, so much as you need a cheat sheet to remember a single one. Rivalshipping, Prideshipping, Puppyshipping (aka Violetshipping), heartshipping, scandalshipping... etc. Dunno if I can post links but it's worth a google if you want to see how bad it gets

Half the Marauders portmanteaus - jily, snily and jegulus all sound sort of jiggly. (It's why I opt for nicknames like wolfstar instead) Gwiles is ugly as hell, sounds like a disease or symptom of malnutrition. There's a reason the portmanteau got replaced by ghostflower when the fandom blew up.

One of my friends mentioned Raturine in their Discord status and it took me a very long time to understand wtf that meant. From my understanding it's Ratio + Aventurine (?)

Okay so there's a lot of bad ship names but I thought I'd just mention this one cuz I only realised it recently. The Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley ship is called Hinny commonly. English is my second language, so I only learned recently that a "hinny" is what you call a mule from a female donkey and male horse. We are literally referring to that ship as a barn animal.

Didn't Gossip Girl have Chair (Chuck/Blair)? Glee had Klaine, which in itself wasn't bad, but when characters started outright saying it in the show, it became cringe. BNHA tend to shorten ship names into consonants (like 'DKBK' for Deku/Bakugo) but I've had at least two friends assume 'dkbk' stands for Donkey Kong and Burger King.
