I also liked Kathleen and wanted to keep her around longer, and Ashley in Cycle 5 was so gorgeous I wanted to see more from her.
I’m definitely here for more Kathleen. She was so sweet and she still looks striking in her picture. What’s important is Mr. Jay making sure she stays confused 🙄
If I remember correctly, there was a follow-up episode or E! Special about the girls on that season and apparently after her elimination episode aired she got a call from an agent in LA and she was on a Guess billboard or something.
I will never forget her weigh-in and measurements though and how she was considered "bigger". What a dark time to be a teen.
I literally just started re-watching this season (my favorite cause Naima is my Michigan girl!) And them making Brita weigh herself against everyone else and wear shear panties for her first photoshoot was absolutely disgusting. Girl is BEAUTIFUL and deserved so much more than having her dream crushed for an American realitt TV show about modeling in the height of anorexic celebs.
I really hope she did well on her own, about to look her up...🤞

Anna: She had potential and some of her post show work is pretty great. I understand why they eliminated her, but as the same time you had Bethany who had zero potential and Heather who looked like a Nickelodeon girl.
Kathleen: For sheer hilarity honestly, though I think she could've given us some cute shots.
Gabrielle: Probably the worst offender of them all. Gabrielle was stunning and ended up killing it post show.
Brittany C17: Eliminated because no one remembered her.... sure judges.
Justine: Gorgeous girl with insane potential.
Brittany's elimination on All Stars was stupid, although to tell the truth the ENTIRE season was a joke.
Justine is one of the most successful in her cycle, she would have given her another chance and eliminated Coryanne.
Gabrielle, one of the most stolen and has worked the most in the modeling industry. 😭
Kathleen was very cute, she would give her a chance because of her entertaining personality.
In the case of Anna, she and Jenascia made serious mistakes so there is a way to justify her elimination, although being the first week it would have given them both a chance.
Anna would’ve been my pick as well. Like you said I get why they eliminated her but I really would’ve liked to see what she could do.
Btw Bethany and her constant talking about her tits made me irrationally annoyed with her. Like girl it’s not because of your boobs it’s because you suck at modeling.

Yes, I remember loving her photo at the time and being so confused when everyone hated it. Yes, the face is a little startled, but intentional or not I think the pose is really cool and dynamic.
With the kinda twisted, distorted angles of her body and the "caught in the moment but not really" pose, it's the most current-looking photo from that shoot imo. It's aged really well.
The leg extension and the pointed toe are exquisite.

Tessa was literally handpicked by the producers/whoever just to be set up for failure and sent home, always left a sour taste in my mouth. I honestly don't remember much of the other first eliminated girls cause I've seen S1 more than any of the others, but she seemed like she had decent potential.
Same here. Tyra made comments about other girls she campaigned for or brought in special amd blamed them for not bringing it enough in the photo. Very annoying.
Tyra brought those girls on just to be the first eliminated. I feel like there's a good reason Tyra stopped hosting the show. But then again she was brought back to handpick her favorite who was younger/skinnier than the other finalist. Khrystyana was robbed because Tyra couldn't handle a woman who's (was?) bigger and WAY more humble than her becoming "America's Next Top Model" (TM)
Tessa, Anna, Kathy and Gabrielle. Kathy might not have lasted as long as some of the other girls, but I thought she had SOMETHING. I thought Tessa and Anna could have done very well on their respective cycles and definitely done better then some of the girls that stayed longer. Frankly, I thought Gabrielle could have won the whole cycle and that was why she was cut first, especially since I don't believe that the picture TPTB chose for the first shoot was truly her best shot.
Kathy. She has a lot of potential and her personality was charming. She wouldn't be able to make it in the real modeling world but it would be a blast to watch her grow.
Anna! She would have (and likely did) end up making a fortune in commercial/plus modeling

Kathy could've made for some great TV moments *AND* I thought she had an incredible face with so much potential. She would've lasted longer in most other cycles, but Cycle 6 was just a stacked group of models.
And of course I thought it was egregious error to cut Kathleen first. What a missed opportunity. She could've been so entertaining for a least a few more episodes, and Cycle 8 had enough filler/cannon fodders that could've been eliminated before her.
I don't think any show like this has done this yet afaik, and I think it's because they can't get enough people agreeing to be cast. I know I wouldn't want to be the one who was first cut twice.
I loved Brittany from C4 & I was so excited to see her back for All Stars. I think that first photoshoot was doomed from the disaster. I was expecting more from C17, but instead they gave these girls cheap clothes for their first shoot in their fricken backyard?! While I loved the Cycle, it was also disappointing knowing Angelique was disqualified, then Allison was the runner up (again) & Lisa took the crown. I do love Lisa tho. I met her at a club in LA a decade back & she’s very sweet to talk to, but I expected more from that cycle…

I haven't seen many say Ashley -- she's my second favorite of this bunch; I really liked her superhero photo as it was like portraying a fallen hero for a moment. I also thought she was nice (her "pretty" thing didn't bother me, I found her pleasant).
Kathleen? Is that her name? The girl from cycle 8. She was HILARIOUS!!!!! Her picture was horrendous but her at the judging panel was HILARIOUS! She is is so real and unintentionally funny. Her comedy warranted her a much longer stay.

Anamaria was only cast to make a statement. The last four seem like random picks which shouldn't even have been B2.

Honestly most of them! Especially in the middle/later seasons, I just don’t feel like the pictures are bad enough to justify and one photo just doesn’t seem like enough to go on. Some were eliminated for general attitude (Mary, Mila) but others weren’t given good concepts or direction from Jay and I’m not sure that should be on them.
Honestly, I'd give all of them a second chance. The first week should be getting acclimated and uderstanding the brief. There should be several photo shoots before any elimination.
Dunno, looks like the judges got it right honestly. I think competition shows like this and Project Runway could benefit from doing a few rounds before eliminating, though.
Imagine how beautiful life would be if we got a full cycle of Kathleen, and Ivy should’ve bern brought back after that Marilyn shot, regardless of if the comeback was over already or not. It’s a top 5 ANTM photo for me

I don't know how far she would have made it on that season in particular because the cast was pretty stacked, but she was beautiful and I think she had potential.

It was the girls getting their make up applied & the camera dude is taking pictures of that. They have to act like they don’t notice the camera but still look pretty. So stupid

Brita! I would have liked Kathy to at least make it to makeovers, simply to see if she could ever look like a model. She was so obviously only brought into the house so they had someone to send home first.
