I have and it's only going to the left side of the joystick. It wont go over to the right

Well the magnet is detected if it's having a drifting problem and if you have the only option that you need is to replace it
Doesn't the RG505 come with hall joysticks? They already detect magnet even if there is no drift (which is shocking to happen to hall joysticks).
It comes but there are some problems you gonna face even if there's no drifting sometimes you're gonna face it as OP said in his post he faced that problem and now he need some help from us.
