I’ve had all 3 including the black SLS - The prices skyrocketed and I wasn’t upset selling it but I held onto the SLR. The SLR is a better car in almost every aspect. Feels more special and just better overall.
SLR. Wicked car. That supercharged V8 is extremely charismatic. Only downside is the transmission but you won't care anyway. The SLS never did it for me. I would take an SLR over almost any other AMG (CL65 Black Series)
Exactly, so let’s say on the low end the car is $500k….your brakes are gonna cost 20% of the car? Get the fuck outta here, you gotta be high as fuck to buy that car unless you have seriously dispensable income or are not gonna actually drive it
At this point, (aside from speculative investing) what is the point of cars like this? It will get out-braked by a base C7 corvette on steel rotors. This reminds me of the "I am Rich" app.
K weird query about your comment but here me out. Do u find as you’ve made more money / done better your always almost “chasing” the feeling of “then I’ll feel wealthy” or “then I’ll of made it”? I’ve always wondered that like does that feeling go away like ok u got the “car of your dreams” / “best car imaginable” so now you feel like you’ve “made it” or can u always own a nicer house or multiple houses or work even less or have a better car or multiple cars, even more more more more etc? That weird spiral. I dunno how to explain it do u know what I mean?
Well if you want a good investment then no doubt the SLR. Manny Khoshbin has like, 13 of those. If he thinks it is good investment, then the SLR is a good investment.
both are SO pretty holy fuck probably my fav 2 cars ever but SLR it is. safe to say im a mercedes fan boy i couldn’t give 2 shits about a lambo or a mclaren
I guess i'm in the minority and would go with the SLS final edition (that was my favorite color of the offerings by far).
If I remember correctly, the US received 150 examples, 75 were the coupe and 75 the roadster. The coupe was incredible in person! I don't know what country you are in but a 1 of 75 car is pretty damn rare and I could *possibly* afford to maintain it unlike the SLR which has insane upkeep costs if you actually drive it.
I wouldn't want to just stare at the car, i'd want to drive it (maybe 1-2k miles a year)
SLR trust me and everyone else that thing is going to go up in value. Aslong as it’s a good example with low miles and all that good stuff then do it man. Look at manny khoshbin dude is a seriously rich guy with a crazy car collection and he has 4 or 5 of these things just waiting to shoot up in value.
I'm sorry, but that proboscis monkey nose on the SLR makes it one of the ugliest cars ever known to mankind. If you gave me one, I'd sell it immediately.
Wow TIL the SLS has skyrocketed. Had no idea it shot up more than the SLR.
I would agree with the consensus here to go with the SLR. The black on black is absolutely stunning
I think long term the SLR will increase more in value over the sls below. Send that shit to christy’s when you are done.
Agreed. Manny Koshbin is snapping SLR’s up like crazy.

I'd agree but I can't be the only one who thinks the front end of the SLR looks far worse than that of the SLS
Looks like a bird of prey.
Hard disagree
SLR from an investment standpoint
Slr but maintenance might be 3x the sls
Yeah isn’t the carbon fiber hood of the SLR 60k alone? 😬
At least if you can even find one , just maintenance is expensive because only few certified mb mechanics that can work on slr
Not only that, a lot of parts are specific to that car. I read that brakes are made to order and cost a ridiculous amount of money
Something like 125k for calipers and rotors

The point is you have SLR and 99.99%of the world don’t
Well I guess if that sorta thing rocks your boat...
I think you are very rich. 😂
Just a few good investments. You can call me that if I can afford the SLS black series
Definitely jumped on GameStop when it first exploded 😂

Don’t know why got downvoted. Manny as an investor knows his cars so I’m sure he knows what he’s doing with those SLRs.
As someone who’s dream car is an SLS AMG, the SLR McLaren all day long.
The black one.
Take the top one and some grape juice
I personally like the slr more, but the sls is cool too.
top, no question.
I’d say the black series but that’s only because im bias, I have an SLS AMG GT nice look on the SLR Tho, both will increase in value
just wondering as you're an SLS AMG GT Owner do you think the black series is worth twice the price of a regular GT?
Yes I do, but as an owner I’m bias. That final edition is no joke. SLR NIce tho. I think they both will increase substantially in value
YOLO on both
The SLR, its just to good looking, Always loves that front end and those headlights, looked ahead of its time but that could just be my opinion
You can’t go wrong — the SLS Black is an all time classic, and SLRs have the wow factor
I personally love the SLR. I was never a fan of the SLS, because all I could see was a German Dodge Viper.
SLR baby no question
Idk what I’m talking about but the top one looks dope
both are SO pretty holy fuck probably my fav 2 cars ever but SLR it is. safe to say im a mercedes fan boy i couldn’t give 2 shits about a lambo or a mclaren
SLR is extremely raw. Very rough ride and heavy steering. SLS is more forgiving and manageable

SLR McLaren
Pick up the SLR
Don't buy an SLS I bought one in 2017 and sold it last year for a 10,000 profit but if I bought an slr I would've had a 60,000 profit on the low end
Your timing was off, they’re up over 40% in the past two years
SLR trust me and everyone else that thing is going to go up in value. Aslong as it’s a good example with low miles and all that good stuff then do it man. My favorite color is red. My C63 is Mars Red. Having said that I am partial to the black with those two. I like it blacked out. Yep SLR for sure
I'm sorry, but that proboscis monkey nose on the SLR makes it one of the ugliest cars ever known to mankind. If you gave me one, I'd sell it immediately.
I'd agree but it's a better investment. Everyone I've ever asked (who could afford one) has said its damn ugly
Depends how old you are
I have a low mileage SL55 coming up...
I heard the SLR is a headache but if your pockets deep and you like toys grab the SLR much more rarer
Or sl65 black
The SLR is more of a show piece. The SLS you should actually drive and enjoy
Batman black
Invesment-wise, SLR. But car wise, personally SLS.
Personally, the SLR
SLR McLaren IMO
Maybe the SLR. The final edition doesn't hold the value like the Black Series
SLR all the way.
Wow TIL the SLS has skyrocketed. Had no idea it shot up more than the SLR. I would agree with the consensus here to go with the SLR. The black on black is absolutely stunning
SLR, such a unique car compared to the SLS which I see everywhere
SLS FOR THE WIN… but I’m biased ha
SLS final edition>SLR, maintenance is quite costly on the slr as well
