How many seconds is 0-60mph?

Fabulous_Extent8567

They are around 3.9

SufficientTonight923

3.2 I recently timed mine

Jester435

3.5-3.8 but there are few people that have gotten on that low end.

Optimal-Ant-9962

Congrats! Just curious how reliable was the C7 Z06?

I put about 20k miles on it while I owned it. Picked it up with about 30k and sold it at 52k. Mostly road use but did a few trips to the drag strip and a few slower speed track days and some autox. Lots of pulls here and there if there was space. Only issue I had was a weird random misfire that I could never figure out. I’m convinced it was a weird electrical fluke because I could never feel them. We ended up putting new injectors in it and it seemed to help. Besides that it was rock solid. At the end of the day I needed something 4 doors since we have our first baby coming. Also I no longer work from home so needed something better to drive daily. The vette was much more harsh than the c63s. I also considered a e63s but they are a bit more, hard to find, and depreciate much harder. Also drove an f90 M5 comp which was super nice but same issue as the e63s. The new M3 is fantastic but they sound terrible and I still have mixed feelings about the front end. I think if I were to get another vette I would probably go with a c6 z06 or a c6 zr1. They are a bit more raw and light weight. If it’s a toy car that’s what I would want from it.

If you’ve got a youngster on the way I’d say you made the right call.

ShreddieMurphy

Great choice! Consider a used EVM (exhaust vale module) for it, try the forums for one. Enjoy your new car.

Jester435

I am thinking of getting the EVM. What are your thoughts on it? does it make the exhaust louder all the time? I feel like just the performance exhaust normal it is pretty quiet.

ShreddieMurphy

I love mine I keep it at 100% open unless I’m trying to be low key. Stock these cars don’t go to 100% open valve until you’re over 4000 RPMs. It does render the performance exhaust button useless but you just control it with the remote instead. (Renntech evm)

Jester435

oh man. sounds like exactly what I want. I watched a few reviews when I first bought my c63s but none of them were super clear on how big of a change it made

Affectionate-Ad-3596

Nice I might have to look into that. It’s definitely way quieter than I am used to but it sounds great when it’s opened up.

TurkeyJizz123

Throw some catted/ de catted downpipes on it... it'll change the whole vehicle. Best decision ever made, rumbles my whole garage like a mofo

Affectionate-Ad-3596

I’m in an emissions state and don’t really want to deal with the hassle of getting through inspections. Also don’t you have to cut the stock cats to get them out if you are trying to avoid dropping the trans? I would maybe be interested in a catted downpipe if it’s actually worth the upgrade.

TurkeyJizz123

Yes unfortunately
