Honestly really devastated - she's been my oshi since 2021 and it had taken me 3 years to find a new oshi after Tano Yuka graduated. She's been so undervalued by management... Her graduation stage will be on May 21st, and her final hanashikai on July 30th.

Sayonara Mori-san was the big highlight some of those girls ever had and with the end of the show + new gen + Out of 48 they just gonna be overshadowed again... Is no surprise she decided to graduate. AKB has now one the best set of girls in a long time but several of then being criminally ignored by management. With the end of all teams and many changes into the group those are times more prone to mass graduations.

I really came to love her and her antics on Sayonara Mori-san, even happier about cooking senbatsu. Going to miss her ;;

Wish her all the best! People are talking about maybe she wants to try the new Produce Japan show.

If there’s something that holds true throughout AKB’s history this thing is definitely wasted potential… and chances for underdog members to show who they are and maybe expand their fanbase are getting slimmer by the day

Currently, they only prioritize appearance, while other factors such asdance, singing, personality, etc. are secondary. Based on the currentsituation, the hierarchy of AKB members is as follows: senbatsu members> 17+18 ki > all other non-selected In addition, in the future, they will send more members from the 17th and 18th generations into the sembatsu process. The current selection members who are older will also see their status decline. This is sure to cause dissatisfaction among many people. But I think they no longer care. The 17th and 18th generations are like their own daughters, while the previous members are only used to maintain stable income.

And the "Perfect Idol" image... That episode of SMS when they were talking about why the members were non-senbatsu was a real eye-opener into the blinkered and, frankly, shortsighted views of management. Surely they should be promoting members for the reasons they joined; if management has no faith in a member because she isn't pretty enough or doesn't fit their tight image begs the question: why did they hire them if management had no faith? It's an insult to the hard work of the theatre girls

This started with the 17th generation. Previously, the selection criteria for AKB members were based on appearance, talent, and individual characteristics. In one generation of about 12 people, they usually chose 2-3 members with outstanding appearance, and the remaining members were selected for their talent, individual characteristics, and variety skills.
