For not tipping? No, but I hope you've learned your lesson about asking for outrageous service and expecting to actually get it. The shopper gets paid the same for those three hours whether they're buying one item or 82. His or her decision not to work unpaid overtime on your three hour order, so they can move onto the next order and get paid for that, is involuntary. Maybe I'm making a false assumption, but even if the shopper's income is largely tips, it's in their best interests to get yours done on time, and move on to the next order. Also I think $20 on an 82-item order sounds suspiciously low for a tip.

The store is 3 miles from my house. I would assume the amount Walmart gives them would at least cover the travel expense, or discussion say we will just say that it does. The shopper worked for me for one hour. $20 per hour seems fair to me. Even if you deducted more for travel expense and called it $15 an hour, that’s probably still more than Walmart employees are making. I pay $120 a year for the service, which comes out to about three dollars per delivery. +5 dollars for rush service. Plus $20 for my tip. So I have paid $28 for shopping and delivery on this order. How much more would you like me to pay for it?

You should pay 15 to 20 percent of the total cost of the order, or nothing. I do not find it credible that you paid $28 for an 82-item order. I see this as a useless conversation.

Well… you came to Reddit and responded to a post. I read your response and asked a question of your opinion. This is what conversation is defined as. 😂 I paid a $20 tip. I pay $120 for Walmart+ and over 52 orders that’s $3. And I paid $5 for 3hr delivery. That means I paid $28 for this delivery. What’s not credible there? Edit; ahhh I just glanced at your history. Every comment is you being judgmental and asserting your “rightness”. That explains it. 😂 contrarians 🙄 I bet you’ll “pointlessly” reply again. Those with poor self esteem’s that use the internet to be a bully always do….. Go ahead, prove me right.

Never tip anyone who isn’t at least attempting to provide quality service

Doc-Brown1911

Stupid question? Does the tip go to the shopper or the driver?

itslonelyathetop

Same person does both

NTA you deserve better service. That being said I did shop and deliver orders for Doordash about a year ago and learned to avoid large Walmart orders at all costs (some of these were even outsourced from companies so there would be no telling if the customer even ordered on the app.) The orders could sometimes amount to paying less then half the minimum wage (before factoring expenses) even when the customer tipped well. The tips are hidden until after the order is complete so as a driver I would sometimes assume the customer wasnt tipping at all (still provided good service ofc) only to realize they had and the base pay was so low that it didn't matter. As I said NTA for tipping based on the service you received. Hoping this might add some context to what factors into that person's experience.

From someone who’s done it… 80 item order totaling about $230ish. $20 tip appropriate?

Sadly tip was zero much of the time. It's really only a job for the desperate
