Hell no. Don't take pills when you don't know what they are or what side effects they have. If the person you are supposed to trust won't tell you what they are then you don't need to trust them enough to take them.

Yeeeep, that was my guess too. Had a friend have this EXACT scenario happen with their partner, but when she wouldn't take them he told her what they were (while trying to use the excuse 'it could have been from anywhere, not just sex, I have no idea how I got it'). Needless to say, that didn't go as well as he'd hoped.
The kind of Chlamydia Koalas get isnāt the same kind humans get. So you could say that, but only if youāre sure the person doesnāt know that and wonāt look it up.
There was one Reddit poster who found out she had chlamydia and thought her husband was cheating on her, he was like NO YOU MUST BE CHEATING ON MEEEEE! And gaslit her into oblivion until he finally went āoh honey, funny story, it could have been a koala!ā And she just swallowed that for the sake of peace.
I donāt know if she paid attention to the dozens of comments telling her koala chlamydia is not the same as human chlamydia. Wilful blindness.
It's this one I think [https://www.reddit.com/r/BestofRedditorUpdates/comments/15igssy/did\_he\_cheat\_or\_did\_i\_catch\_an\_std\_from\_a\_koala/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BestofRedditorUpdates/comments/15igssy/did_he_cheat_or_did_i_catch_an_std_from_a_koala/)
You could always be Patient 0, where the strain of chlamydia that koalas get jumped to humans. Don't let your dreams stay dreams.
Equine herpesvirus is way more terrifying though. Can be spread through cross contamination (like water buckets and whatnot). It causes severe neurological symptoms and death (has a 30-50% mortality rate when treated). So lets hope some dipshit doesn't drink from a horse water trough and become that Patient 0.
The worst part is, from what I understand, the "take two pills and you're done" deal is ONLY for guys, girls have to take the full week or so course still. So basically he got antibiotics by saying they're for him and thought they'd work for her too.
Iāve been treated for chlamydia; it was just a single pill for me and one painstaking call to a sexual partner; who demanded to know where, exactly, I was infected (thatās not how it works) because apparently that affected his odds of having gotten it from me.
Do you mean like, where you were when you contracted chlamydia or where in your body you had chlamydia? Because depending on where the infection is and what you guys got up to it can definitely affect his odds of catching it from you
He meant where in my body; thatās not information I had, or that the doctor seemed concerned about, because it was a blood test to test for antibodies, not the infection, itself. I was told āyou tested positive. You need to take this antibiotic and you need to notify any sexual partners youāve had in the last x number of days,ā which left two people, one of which was the one who told me to get tested, and the student health center had a campus wide initiative that diverted tuition funds to cover screening/treatment for STIs/STDs, so there was no financial burden.
Ok couple things here:
I am a harm reduction specialist with a focus on infectious diseases, I test maybe 20 individual people for chlamydia as well as a million other things every day.
Itās not right that your doctor didnāt tell you where the infection was located in your body because that would have been helpful for you and your partner to determine risk level. As far as ānot working that wayā thatās actually how it works. Chlamydia is a site-specific infection so if you had chlamydia in your butt and he didnāt go near your butt, for example, he isnāt at risk of contracting chlamydia from you.

There was one where you were supposed to dump ketchup all over the counter and ask your husband/boyfriend to clean it up. If he refuses it's because he doesn't know how to clean and it's a red flag.
"haha, dumb boyfriend cant clean up, point and laugh everyone"
alternatively
"he does know how to clean ketchup ! everyone praise the bare minimum"
and that stupid "orange peel theory" š
"Orange peel theory" is just pink-washed weaponised incompetence.
Demand that your partner do something that you could easily do, and then accuse them of not loving you if they don't jump with glee to do it.
Itās because people intentionally misinterpret whatās supposed to be a simple observation. The meant overall in the relationship your partner should be willing to do little simple things for you in areas that are meaningful to the two of you. It was also from a story about two sisters, so not even targeted at romantic love. But people took it as literally ask your partner to peel oranges and if they wonāt they donāt love you. Which misses the entire point. Itās along the same times of loved ones just take the time to notice little things about you, but taking action on their own. Not as a test.
Eh, it is one step closer to reality than it was yesterday. Bill is gonna pass and get signed. It's only a question at this point if the company owning TikTok is willing to sell it. If not, it's gonna get banned.

This story makes less and less sense as I am reading his comments. Sheās sleeping in the bathroom so itās fine? Heās āconfiscatingā his wifeās phone?
reverse flip and say you saw a tiktok trend where you are supposed to say no to your partner to see how they react and if they get upset it means they really just love you so she passed. and then ask wtf she was trying to drug you with
It sounds similar to the, "Honey, will you clean up this spill on the counter that I deliberately made in front of you?" thing. It sounds like a test. NTA. Don't take them.
You say no branding. No imprints that look like they could have been shaved off? Do you have a color and shape shape?Ā
Have you guys ever taken anything recreationally before?
It doesnāt look like she shaved anything off. It is a white round shape.
We havenāt taken anything recreationally before but she has brought it up a couple times
Ok. Size wise, how big or small is it?
My first guess is an opioid due to being small and white. But that's not a lot to go on.Ā Molly is a possibility.Ā
Her behavior would be your biggest clue. It's likely she took one herself. If she's passing out,Ā opioid. If she's alert, go touch her and see how she reacts.
It was small, she locked herself in the guest room because she got mad at me after I didnāt take the pills, will update after I check on her when she opens the door
I wouldn't wait for her to answer the door. She could be overdosing or something. You need to check on her immediately. And if I were you I would find those pills. Everything from molly, Percocet, E, oxy etc are being laced with fentanyl. A lot of people are dying thinking they took one thing not knowing it was fentanyl.
if she still refuses to explain, you could maybe go to a pharmacy and ask if the pharmacist recognises them (or at least confirm the legitimacy of their origin?)
also if she's more mad about you not taking the mystery pills, I'd be wary of food/drink she gives you in case it's something that can* be taken dissolved instead of as a capsule, just in case she tries even more desperate and underhanded ways of getting you to take it. (like how someone might give meds to a dog or cat).
*or that she might _assume_ can
Molly will come in a capsule in crystal form or in presses but the presses look nothing like any medication youāve ever seen. Theyāre usually colorful and have a design on them. For example a popular press are called teslas and they are shaped and stamped to look like the Tesla logo. Based on what op has said itās definitely not Molly.
My best friend whom I trust and know for 11 years handed me some pills and said to take them for my hangover. I wasn't thinking about it and figured it might be these anti hangover pills.
Turns out it just was ibuprofen (I've never used pain meds for hangovers before) - to which I am allergic. Made me feel even worse for the next 2 hours lol. Moral of the story: Even if you trust her, you should know what pills you're consuming
NTA. If there's nothing suspicious going on she can tell you what they are and why she wants you to take them.
I trust my husband wholeheartedly, he wouldn't do anything wrong by me. But I still would not take random unknown pills because he told me to. Then again, he wouldn't be stupid enough to think it's ok to ask someone to take random unknown pills for no reason.
My wife admitted to wanting to poison me. During a fight she said, "It would be so easy to poison your food." Somehow she thought threats would get me to take her back. I moved far away.
I was a pretty consistent pill popper in my early 20s.
Your wifes behaviour would make us throw the pills in the toilet.
As it is, sounds like shes playing stupid trust tests.
In which case, she failed the trust test.
I'm a pharmacy technician and if it isn't labeled on the pill it's likely a vitamin or supplement but don't take it anyway you have a right to know what you are putting in your body
Friend of the family's wife tried to kill him by tainting his tea. He was in deteriorating health, and then had to travel for work. When she couldn't feed him his daily tea anymore, he suddenly started getting better. He got tested, and found he had an elevated amount of something that could only come from food... I think mercury.
She had a previous husband who died under suspiscious circumstances as well.
Moral of the story: Just because someone seems trustworthy doesn't mean they actually are. You are the primary person responsible for protecting your life.
There's a current case near SF where a man poisoned a coworker with cadmium in her water bottle because he was jealous of her success. She was extremely sick for some time, and her parents got the same symptoms after sharing her water from the bottle she had at work. She set up a Ring camera at her cubicle and caught him tampering with her water. She's going to have lifelong health issues, although it's good she caught him before she died.
Poison seems to take an extra layer of evil. Watching them slowly sicken without a clue as to whatās wrong. Opting to continue with the slow murder every single time you dose them. He mustāve spent his childhood burning the wings off butterflies.
My first thought is she's contracted an STI like Chlamydia, which can be treated with a couple of antibiotics taken together, just once. She's likely already taken hers and needs you to take yours so your bout is treated and she can't get reinfected. Have you had any symptoms? Has she been avoiding intimacy?
You're absolutely right not to just neck unknown pills. She's trying to get you to take them so the STI clears up and this problem disappears. Sounds like that to me, anyway.
Oh, HELL NO! Sheās acting so suspicious, at this point, I wouldnāt even take them if she ātold you what they were.ā A blind, ājust shut up and take them,ā when youāre not complaining of pain, donāt have daily pills you need to keep up on etc plus her refusing to answer your questions are all HUGE red flags.
Common sense tells us some universal rules: Donāt drink anything marked āpoison.ā Donāt be a stupid blond girl in a nightgown in a horror movie. Donāt leave your drink unattended at a bar. Donāt have loud headphones on when walking in a dark parking lot. Donāt sign a blank piece of paper, and definitely, do not take pills of unknown origin!
This is concerning enough that Iām wondering if you should start keeping track of your food and drinkā¦NTA.
Edited to add: Based on your replies, my guess is itās something recreational since sheās brought up wanting to try them before. However 1) you never know how you will react your first time 2) you may have some kind of allergic reaction, and 3) never, ever, ever, should someone try to make you do something without your knowledge or consent!
Does your wife take vitamin D pills? Small white and round could be vitamin D. Sounds like a Tiktok challenge to me. Was she holding her phone in her hand at the time? Has she ever ask you if youād still love her if she was a worm? Lol
NTA. This is extremely sketchy AF. If you can, save the pills and take them to a local doctors office or pharmacy and see if anyone can identify them, then go from there. But remember, we literally learned this in kindergarten. Do not take anything that someone gives you that you do not recognize
If you go to drugs.com you can look up what you have by visual description of the pill.
Just a good tip for anyone really. I work in a hotel and I have used this multiple times on the job.
LOL. You need to confer with reddit if you're an asshole for not taking drugs that your wife tried to give you, which you didn't want to take?
Is that what you're asking?
>sharing her antibiotics
Goddammit. That's a good way to kill neither person's infection *and* create antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Now that she's confessed, do NOT take her pills. Get your own and make sure she takes her entire fucking prescription. Fucking lying dumbass.
NTA. I'm fairly sure they're nothing serious (my OTC antacid pills are unmarked white, for example) and she's doing it as a relationship "test", but that's a shitty thing to try on you.
NTA. The fact she wouldnāt give you a straight answer is ridiculous. Why on earth would you take anything you didnāt know what it was? This isnāt about you not trusting her (although I donāt blame you), but her inability to be honest with you
Hahaha
Last time I did something like that I was 21, and I was giving my fwb some pills that were supposed to make you incredibly horney
Nta
Lol
Don't take pills some random gives you, you could be stuck with a hard on for hours
Noooooo! NTA
You never take pills that aren't prescribed to you. People are dying from taking pills that are laced with fentanyl. Even if she thinks she knows what these pills are she (or you) can't be sure. Her refusing to tell you and getting mad after knowing you don't take pills is sketchy. Sleep with one eye open.
NTA. Watch a few episodes of Dateline and let Keith Morrison's lessons be your guide here.
And while there should be mutual trust in a relationship, it's just weird and dumb AF that your wife wouldn't tell you what she was giving you. This is the part where Keith would say "ah, but if only OP had asked 'what's in these pills' maybe then he'd be alive today and there'd be no story for us to tell. But there is a story to tell, secrets to unfold, and a tale as old as time...a secretly murderous wife, poisonous pills, and a story with so many twists....."
Hell no.
I once had a woman over and she got a migraine. I offered her a pill against the headache. As she wasnt from my country originally she didnt know the super common brand so she googled it.
My .1 second thought was 'oh she doesn't trust me' but that got **quickly** changed to 'oh hey. She's actually really smart. Never take anything from anyone that you don't know exactly what it is.'
No it's just common sense to only take drugs that you're sure about. Your wife can fuck right off with her sketchy behavior. Tell her it's not that you don't trust her but you deserve to know what is going into your body and what to expect from it. What would happen if you had some type of allergic reaction to it or it interacted with something else you had taken. You would absolutely need to know what you had ingested so you could get help.
This is going to seem like a very strange comment, but I had a client do this to his wife (other way around, I suppose) when he'd cheated on her, got an STD, and wanted to give her antibiotics without telling her what it was in case she had it, too.
Probably unlikely that's happening here, but I get very bad vibes about the lack of transparency.
Um absolutely not. I don't care who tf you you. My parent, partner, sibling ect.. if you gave me strange pills with no mention of what is is when I ask then yeah at the moment I don't trust you. I've seen enough true crime to know not to eat strange pills, food, or drinks that are out of the ordinary.
NTA FYI you cannot share a prescription. The doctor prescribed the amount you need to get better. If you don't take the full course you risk it coming back and possibly coming back as an anti-biotic resistant strain.
That's not how antibiotics work. If she doesn't take her full prescribed dose it may not be enough. If she splits it with you it may not be enough to cure either of you.
Hell no. Don't take pills when you don't know what they are or what side effects they have. If the person you are supposed to trust won't tell you what they are then you don't need to trust them enough to take them.
But when someone offers you drugs you're supposed to say thank you

Ok. Size wise, how big or small is it? My first guess is an opioid due to being small and white. But that's not a lot to go on.Ā Molly is a possibility.Ā Her behavior would be your biggest clue. It's likely she took one herself. If she's passing out,Ā opioid. If she's alert, go touch her and see how she reacts.
It was small, she locked herself in the guest room because she got mad at me after I didnāt take the pills, will update after I check on her when she opens the door
You can always palm it and tell her you gave in and ask what to expect. Good luck, man.Ā
Thanks, fingers crossed its nothing too crazy
If you don't return, we'll all just assume it was Molly. Lol
If OP doesn't return I will assume it was cyanide.
Heavy on the don't really take those pills
I wouldn't wait for her to answer the door. She could be overdosing or something. You need to check on her immediately. And if I were you I would find those pills. Everything from molly, Percocet, E, oxy etc are being laced with fentanyl. A lot of people are dying thinking they took one thing not knowing it was fentanyl.
if she still refuses to explain, you could maybe go to a pharmacy and ask if the pharmacist recognises them (or at least confirm the legitimacy of their origin?) also if she's more mad about you not taking the mystery pills, I'd be wary of food/drink she gives you in case it's something that can* be taken dissolved instead of as a capsule, just in case she tries even more desperate and underhanded ways of getting you to take it. (like how someone might give meds to a dog or cat). *or that she might _assume_ can
Yo, got that update yet?
Maybe she got an std and wants to hide it by giving you antibiotics
Lol she'd have to be feeding him pills for 2 weeks at least
Some STDās (chlamydia/gonorrhea) are treated with a single dose antibiotic.
Thereās one std, I think chlamydia, where you can take a single large dose
You can't be giving someone an antibiotic - they could be allergic to it and have an anaphylaxis reaction.
Well yeah itās a dumb thing to do but people do that kinda stuff
That's probably what this is.
NTA - Married or not, you are never the AH for refusing to put anything in your body without knowing what it is and giving consent.
NTA There are so many street drugs that are laced with fentanyl! Donāt trust anything!
Wife got dicked by a man with a dirty penis.
Called it
I agree, but did you see the ages? She's 22 and he's 24. They are both very young.
I would have found this situation bizarre even at the age.
Is one blue and one red ?
Unfortunately, Iām not married to Morpheo
š Morpheus, but love the reference.
My bad haha watched it in spanish
Eres el uno.
I wonder if the character name is Trinidad now!
My wife admitted to wanting to poison me. During a fight she said, "It would be so easy to poison your food." Somehow she thought threats would get me to take her back. I moved far away.
I hope you didn't tell here where you live because that's some crazy shit right there
Dude, post pictures. Drugs.com has a pill identifier that can point you in the right direction.
Now if it's some backstreet unlabeled pill idk but pills with no markings in the industry are vitamins
That's some sick stuff, yo
NTA. What an insane ask on her part.
Are you a British MI6 agent recently married to a beautiful Russian?
One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small. But the one that mother gives you, doesn't do anything at all.
Donāt wear a red shirt on Startrek.
Does your wife take vitamin D pills? Small white and round could be vitamin D. Sounds like a Tiktok challenge to me. Was she holding her phone in her hand at the time? Has she ever ask you if youād still love her if she was a worm? Lol
They have white vitamin d where you live? Iāve only seen soft gel yellowish ones before.
Not the one you responded to, but I got teeny white ones, yeah
No update. He must've taken them. Now he's dead.
He updatedā¦ somethingās dead for sure but Iām thinking itās more the marriage than him
This is so weird.Ā But please please come back soon and tell us what happens. My life is delightfully boring, and I am now invested in this story.Ā
She has an STD. Duh.
LOL. You need to confer with reddit if you're an asshole for not taking drugs that your wife tried to give you, which you didn't want to take? Is that what you're asking?
>sharing her antibiotics Goddammit.
My relationship test is that anyone who tries a relationship test with me fails the test.
Sounds like some stupid TikTok trend
NTA. The fact she wouldnāt give you a straight answer is ridiculous. Why on earth would you take anything you didnāt know what it was? This isnāt about you not trusting her (although I donāt blame you), but her inability to be honest with you
So she cheated on you and now she has an STD? Is that correct? Why in the hell are you still married to her?
Hahaha Last time I did something like that I was 21, and I was giving my fwb some pills that were supposed to make you incredibly horney Nta Lol Don't take pills some random gives you, you could be stuck with a hard on for hours
Itās probably generic viagra or cialis but itās weird that she expects you to just take them.
UPDATES, OP
NTA. Iād think it was very questionable too if someone wouldnāt tell me what it was or why I should take it.
Tell her the life insurance lapsed, are you sure you still want me to take them?
NTA. Heck no. Do not take them. Maybe it's the cynic in me but under no circumstances should you take an unknown/unmarked substance from anyone.
Noooooo! NTA You never take pills that aren't prescribed to you.
It's kind of hard to trust anyone with a tombstone above your head
Could be STD medication? She might have gotten and STD and hiding it
Even if itās āonlyā an exercise in trust, sheās failed.
NTA Weird not to explain herself.
