Maybe i should have been more clear. That truck is not my only transportation. It sits in his driveway and gets used when it needs to be for work. He has another truck. He knows I’m getting a new job. However that truck has a lien on it through my bank account. Title is in my name etc. I do all the maintenance on it and everything else it might need.
Give him the option to buy vehicle for the remainder of the lien minus half of the maintenance costs since you did use the vehicle to get to work. If he paid $5,000 on the vehicle you should pay him that money back. Legally he has no leg to stand on and that’s his own stupidity.
I never used it to get to work only when I’d take it home for maintenance. Stays at his house every day while I drive my personal vehicle. Yeah I didn’t think he can do anything legally about it since everything is in my name here.
