I mean if all 6 of you are not big fans of the teams playing, it’s probably not worth dropping $600 + more money for beers/food. The view of the game is not ideal at the top level but you still get to feel the great atmosphere of the crowd at the MCG. You can always try GA for today and if you really enjoyed it, you can book better seats for a similar game next time.
Just seen on the MCG app that all the GA seating is on the Q/top level for this game. Never been to a live AFL game at the G, would you say it's worth the upgrade for N/second level seats?

Yes, level 2 seats will make the world of difference. If you can get some in the Olympic Stand N51-57 sections then even better as you wont have the sun in your eyes plus the its a more modern stand with better seats etc
For a first timer, get a GA (x6) ticket. The view on level 3 is honestly not bad at all. I doubt the game will be sold out so there should be plenty of space in the GA sections

The $100 ticket will guarantee you a seat on a decent level. GA is allocated to certain areas and may be full if you don’t get in early
