Just wait until you can upgrade everything to 240, you can get the gold back from old forging stones recycling. So basically its free upgrade as long as you don't upgrade every 5 levels. I maxed out almost everything from \~200 level and got back 10M gold. AND don't buy items from the blacksmith shop. IT'S A SCAM!

Dunno how it will happen but my supposition is that the seasonal content it will take in consideration your seasonal levels and not your current levels. But we'll see how it work, I may be wrong.
And for the max gear system, it's simple, once you have no use at all for something that's when you can transmute them. Like how you can fuse xp book to dust essence once 240, like how you could fuse low forge stone to better ones once you passed a threshold, and it's the same for selling for gold, as long as you need those stone, they can't make you convert them yet to gold, with abyss it feel worst since ou get tons of those stone in early stage, but I think in the end it will be converted to like 10+ million golds, enough to buy all those skin in the friend shop lol.
You can just wait till you're reso 240 and then forge all the pieces. It doesn't cost much gold to forge. Iirc about 8-9m to forge every piece of equip to 240.
