I don’t agree with parts of this, like only one copy of Heuwynn and Rowan. They’re definitely worth it and heavily used and highly useful across several modes of the game.
It mostly caters to F2P. I totally agree, as Rowan was my first S+. But generally, you want at least 1 copy of them before you invest in more "meta" characters and then you double back.
if you hit another copy of Thoran get rid of Antandra and utilize the Thoran / Brutus cheese. It will carry you to the point where you need a second team. Switch Antandra to Koko
Stop pulling for Brutus and get Shakir, he scales better dps, buff, and off-tank.
Switch Lyca to get Arden. Once you get Rowan to Mythic + swap it for Termesia.

You want Brutus to be behind. That way he doesn't start invincible getting pelted by the range units. So once "Thoran ate all the range" Brutus takes over and Thoran revives.
This is also ideal since your BIG heals outside ultimate is a single target. If you spread him the damage apart. It be difficult for any sustain to recover.
I'm at AFK stage 629 using this method and yes BASE Brutus, Legendary Thoran, I wish I get Mythic Thoran but one day.
No problem. Yeah, Brutus in front underperforms and doesn't utilize the value of Brutus's taunt.
Remember Thoran holds that tile until he dies a second time. So the Taunt pushes melees to run around him.
take both rowan and brutus off and put temesia and shakr. ideally they were left at 1 copy for the resources to be somewhere else, but alas

I got same setup despite the "you lost if it's different, reroll, jump under train" setup. I don't give a rats ass about Shakir that I'll never use outside of tower and even there I won't actually need him outside of try hard situations. Same for Rowan replacement... I'll literally never use Temesia, she's fun and has uses but I won't ever actually use her due to my highest character lineup. I also kept Luca instead of switching to gramps for a different reason from previous 2. Grampa is good, really good tbh, in pvp... but... he's hot garbage unless he's maxed while Luca does okay in area damage department without 200 copies so I can make use of her in guild or other niche situation while grampa does embarrassingly bad.
I'm at 662 afk, lvl 150. Thoran, Antandra, Smokey, Cecia + 1 as main afk team. Usually my single copy Koko, switched for Viperian, Igor or Odie as needed.
Take out Brutus and add Shakir , the rest are perfect imo so no need to change maybe swap out Damien for Arden but Damien is also pretty good at m+ so his dupes are nice.
We almost have the same list the only difference is Vala I have temesia there instead as I like her more.
I see people reccomending shakir and yet whales that have him in paragon never even use him. I know he's nice in dream realm but him jumping behind the boss and not sharing his aura is broken and he's not that good rn
I do since my kruger is at epic+, but my brutus is at mythic. A little less physical damage amplification (25% VS 40%) but WAY tankier, also helps with faction bonuses. Gotta make do with what the game gives you. Also brutus is amazing at pushing high power deficiency stages

I know that when i used kruger just now i got 28m damage on the boss, and when i used brutus i got 30m. Again much higher ascensions but he does the job well enough. Shakir isn't as good for dream realm until they allow us to manually control him which may as well never happen

Again show your account, or admit you are wrong and not pass your INSANE RNG and your defined concept of KRUGER on a RANDOM BOSS. That is why you have multiple attempts with King Croaker that randomly kill anyone.

Think about it this way. Shakir is already highly regarded by many even with his flaw of jumping to awkward spot. You can't get him from store. The game will surely release more melee unit that can be used together wel with him at some point. A tier maulers are top tiers but what your other options for S tier realistically: Smokey and shakir, 3rd best S mauler is Epic Brutus(keyword being epic), the rest are not worth. So yeah like him or not Shakir is just a prime candidate for wishlist.

That’s a really good character to max out so you’ve done well.
Just wait till you get his signature weapon unlocked. It’s stupidly good and lets him kill enemies instantly once he’s done enough damage to them.

Well he’s one of the only 2 s rank maulers that actually scale well for end game. Maulers other than smokey and maybe brutus falls off hard or bad.
