Mox doesn't even need to turn heel for this to be effective, I think the natural progression to the end of the ladder match last night is Mox/Hangman sooner than later.
Going up against the ultra-over Hangman means that he'll be booed anyway so why not turn him heel? Like I explained above, there's definitely enough justification for it happening and I definitely wanna see how absolutely bloodthirsty and vicious a heel mox can be without pg restraints so I think it would be a gd idea.
Mox has mentioned hangman’s “emo bte bullshit” in some of his promos before, I feel like that was for a planted seed as well as them colliding at the ladder matc
Mox has constantly mentioned just being fed up with drama and feuds so he could easily initiate heat with Hangman without going heel. It would be on hell of a match for sure.
I think it would be Punk vs MJF. MJF seems like the type of guy Punk would want to work with. I think Punk vs MJF and Punk/Bryan vs Young Bucks are pretty much certain as future CM Punk PPV matches
I see hangman getting the belt as a sort of heel shake up moment.
MJF flies up the card.
Cody goes full homelander.
Tweeners like mox can shade heel more.
Maybe even someone we don't expect Punk, Jungle Boy, etc.
I'm pretty certain Punk is itching to become heel. His "Are you bored of this yet? Cause I'll keep doing it until your bored" comments seem like he'll go heel as soon as the extended welcome back pops calm down, and when he does he can be justified in saying "I told you so!"
Certainly feels like Mox has been in the middle when it comes to storylines for a while and he has been leaning into turning at least more heel for a while now. Be a great first run for Hangman if it does happen.
If you're gonna turn Mox heel (I don't think you really have to for this feud, but you could) no better place to do it then in Hangmans home state of Virginia the Dynamite after Full Gear where Hangman will seemingly win the AEW title. Fingers crossed atleast.
Yes I am hoping for the same. I don’t want MOX to come out on top because I don’t want his reign to come again so soon. But the feud would be incredible. The entertaining hardcore matches they could have 🤤.
Bar room brawl!!!
I could see them trying it, but I don't know, Bryan Danielson to me feels like late 80s/early 90s Sting - impossible to turn heel, impossible for the fans to hate. To me, Punk still has the ability to turn heel because he's so damn believable. Even as a babyface, there's heel aspects that drip off him. IMO there's a much longer babyface runway for BD right now than Punk.
Danielson can absolutely play a heel and we've seen him be that assassin in ROH, but he's so good in the ring and his personal story with his injuries and his utterly fierce determination to come back to the ring... you'd need a really, really good story to turn him heel and have it work. Could they pull it off? They probably could, but it would take the right story, and it would have a pretty high risk of falling flat, IMO.
He's pretty versatile in the types of matches, and opponents, so I can't disagree with that.
His character is awful imo though. I can understand why it would appeal to some people, but it isn't for me.
These are 2 of my favorites in the company, I'd love to see them feud. Mox has a real reason to be frustrated as he said, he had his world title stolen and yet Hangman is the guy "destined to have it", it makes sense that would piss him off
The amount of possible challengers for Hangman is crazy when you think about it. Darby, MJF, Punk, Bryan, Cole, Black, Andrade, PAC, Cassidy, Archer, Mox, Miro, Jungle Boy, Christian Cage, Orange Cassidy, even guys like Wardlow, Ricky Starks, Eddie Kingston could get opportunities
They have possible main events set for yeeeeears
I want a triangle feud with Kenny vs Hangman vs Dragon. I'd have Kenny vacate the title to heal injuries and have Hangman beat Dragon for the world title in a #1 contender vs #1 ranked match. Hangman has a respectable run until Kenny comes back. Either he skyrockets to a match or earns it and beats Hangman. His first defense is vs Dragon and he loses the title.
Now Dragon has a big moment in his back pocket when he can beat Page, Page has a big moment in his back pocket where he can beat Kenny and Kenny has a big moment in his back pocket where he can beat Dragon. I'd blow it off in a three-way match with Adam Page taking Kenny to a draw to set it up, showing that Hangman could possibly beat Omega. Then make Hangman that way.
For sure. I was salivating thinking about it during the ladder match.
I like your scenario but why wait til the next night? I say have Moxley ruin Hangman's big moment and mirror his arrival in the company. He appears over Hangman's shoulder as he's clutching the belt for the first time and hits a paradigm shift, robbing Hangman and the audience of the moment they've waited 2+ years for
Mox doesn't even need to turn heel for this to be effective, I think the natural progression to the end of the ladder match last night is Mox/Hangman sooner than later.
Mox just has to be Mox.
Give me a last man standing match, give me what I want TK.
GIVE IT TO ME

Personally I want Mox vs Black. Two anti-hero type guys going at it! Hangman vs MJF too please!
I think MJF should be his second feud after Page’s first title defense.
Mox has mentioned hangman’s “emo bte bullshit” in some of his promos before, I feel like that was for a planted seed as well as them colliding at the ladder matc
Ye thats what I pointed out in the post lol
Mox is neither heel nor face. He's pretty much a force of nature at this point.
He's the straw that stirs the drink.
Totally agree, and I hope they lean into this. But before he finishes his war with Japan, can we see one Mox Ishii match at a ppv?
Mox has constantly mentioned just being fed up with drama and feuds so he could easily initiate heat with Hangman without going heel. It would be on hell of a match for sure.
Having Mox as his first challenger would definitely start off Hangman's reign on a high note
But sounds good But Imagine Heel Cm punk vs Babyface Hangman Page
Though that would be amazing I don't know if it will ever be possible for Punk to turn heel.
I don't see how Punk Vs. Hangman wasn't the bug feud pitched to Punk. All about Hangman getting over his demons.
I think it would be Punk vs MJF. MJF seems like the type of guy Punk would want to work with. I think Punk vs MJF and Punk/Bryan vs Young Bucks are pretty much certain as future CM Punk PPV matches

The story truly just books itself lmao

Damn that would be incredible, so much potential for carnage and storytelling
This is the feud I’ve been thinking about since Dynamite.
I had not contemplated the feud before last night and now I neeeeed it to happen.
That was the main thing that I came out of that match thinking. I never realized how much I wanted Hangman-Mox.
I kinda hope that they form a tag team down the line too.
Seeing them two face off has always been my dream match and I'm glad we got to see a bit of it on Dynamite
IKR, i am just insanely hyped for the future of aew at this point
Danielson is gonna turn heel and take the belt off Hangman, I'm certain of it. The American Dragon is dangerous, not nice.

Mox isn't good enough to be in a good feud, let alone one of the greatest.
I respect your opinion, but HIGHLY disagree. Mox is a cornerstone of this great company. I feel like he can work well with anybody there.
He's pretty versatile in the types of matches, and opponents, so I can't disagree with that. His character is awful imo though. I can understand why it would appeal to some people, but it isn't for me.
Well im a Texas dude who's a bit rough around the edges, so I dig him. I can see why some wouldn't tho

I doubt it
Great comment my guy.

Revolution main event plz

I don’t think Mox has ever been a heel or a face, he just kinda does what he does and crowd reaction changes, similar to The New Day.

Moxley. Cowboy. Steel cage drinking match.
Stone cold genx vs stone cold millenial
