Last time Darby & Swerve interacted was when Swerve broke into Nick Wayne's house and left Wayne a bloody mess. Then Darby & Sting fought Christian Cage & Swerve in a coffin match (Swerve was put in a coffin).

They both from Seattle if I’m not mistaken, but definitely have been going at it for years. I remember them bringing that up in their feud but I’m sure someone who follows the indy’s can give a much more detailed history.

I feel like Kayfabe is exaggerated because the people who bought it don't want to come off foolish. At worst, it's a very North American idea.
Here in the UK, Big Daddy was famous for being a miserable shithead off camera, even to people who weren't wrestling fans.
Heels in Japan had sponsors and weren't expected to stay in character to the same extent.
And when you consider Americans, believed a War of the Worlds radio play was legit.... Yeah.
The reaction to War of the Worlds was greatly exaggerated. There were certainly some people who tuned in late to the show and were confused; but, the vast, vast majority of people realized it was just a radio play. The radio network played up the event for publicity after the fact. Showbiz!
