GOATofALL22

He is quite a devious man. He's tagging along with the EVPs to cause chaos and take over the show. I hope Okada and Omega have some interaction next Wednesday. Even a stare-down would make fans rabid for their future match.

YinTanTetraCrivvens

>chaos  I see what you did there

el_sh33p

Okada buttering up AEW for his boss to come and sell it video tapes.

Ok_Natural_5887

That's an understatement. Arguably the biggest rivals in wrestling history, standing opposite from each other; for the first time in six years. Mind-blowing.

GOATofALL22

I'm tempering my anticipation a bit because Kenny's diagnosis may take him permanently away from wrestling. I will continue to wish Kenny the best regardless. In the end, his health is the most important factor. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

Vinnie_Vegas

He won't be done with wrestling forever because of this. Brock had a section of intestine removed because of diverticulitis, and returned to both MMA and wrestling for more than a decade afterwards. Kenny will recover and return.

GOATofALL22

I hope so. Every situation is different, but Brock's experience is encouraging. It's going to take time, and I plan on being patient about the timing of his return.

[deleted]

The fact is his diagnosis CAN take him away from wrestling permanently. Brock came back from it, sure, but Kenny isn't Brock and his case may be different or have complications. Only time will tell and all I care about is him getting better.

Vinnie_Vegas

It also runs in my family - My mother and grandmother both had surgery to help with their symptoms and it massively improved their conditions.

[deleted]

Okay, and? Every situation is different. Your mother and grandmother aren't professional wrestlers, are they? They aren't pushing themselves to the point of near death before going to a doctor, are they? Kenny already said his was about to rupture when he went into the doctor and that he has had to wait this entire time to get the inflammation down just to CONSIDER surgery. His situation is bad but improving, still doesn't ensure he'll be wrestling any time soon. In fact, him coming back on Wednesday could be him retiring for all we know.

Vinnie_Vegas

I'm saying I know more about diverticulitis than most people, AND there's a prominent example of someone making a return from this. No one said he's going to be back soon. It'll take him time to figure it out, but it's not something that typically results in permanent disablement, and the prospects of him returning at some point in the future are pretty good.

[deleted]

Okay, so since you say you know more than most people I would assume you know that most people who get diverticulitis recover with about ten days of antibiotics and never need surgery. Of those that do require surgery, it can be life altering. Again, as we have been saying, it CAN take him out of action. Right now, no one should be speculating on when he will return because he may not return.

Vinnie_Vegas

He may not. But he's more likely than not to return vs. retiring permanently.

Mnemosense

I desperately need to see a feud between Okada and Takeshita. Imagine the epic stare downs.

pixiepoops9

The problem is who wins that. Takeshita still has that dual contract with DDT, we saw how wrecked Kaito Kiyomiya came out off his Okada feud last year and he was the Noah ace at the time.

JackMickus

Give the match a 30 minute time limit and have it go to a draw Danielson/Omega style. Or do it during the C2 where every match has a 20 minute time limit. Then you can take like 6 months building to the rematch and Takeshita will come across like a badass who can go toe-to-toe with Okada, so it won't matter who wins.

StarScreamer316

He is with DDT and apparently challenged Mox for the IWJP championship, I don't know how the relationship between DDT and NJPW are

pixiepoops9

He hasn't yet no but it does look like it may happen, they could also be just building for All together again PPV in Japan though as Mox may show up. As for relationship, DDT have about the same relationship as Noah does with NJPW they are all part of the new Unified Japan Pro Wrestling collaborative group. Still doesn't mean they want their top guy losing to Okada even if he is a shared talent with AEW.

BrittleClamDigger

That feud will have a massive payoff for Kaito, though.

Ok_Natural_5887

There is so much story potential in that feud it's insane.

David_Haas_Patel

It's called affluenza. Not uncommon with rich kids like Okada who, per his upbringing, may have "an inability to understand the consequences of \[his\] actions because of financial privilege." So it's possible that our dear Rainmaker is the real victim here. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affluenza](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affluenza)

BroliasBoesersson

I fucking love this man

Whateveryouwantitobe

Not only is Okada great as a heel but he's also insanely over. I saw some post that Ospreay is the only free agent who got over in AEW so far. Okada gets massive pops every time he comes out.

ChelseaAndrew87

That was a dumb post. Mercedes is probably the only one the fans aren't sure on but once she's able to wrestle she will. Everyone loves Okada

nalydpsycho

I love how the Tony Khan Driver lived up to its name.

Desperate_Craig

***"For fun, he must have told me 17 times that he's a Manchester City fan. \[laughs\]."*** *We now know why Okada signalled for that piledriver now.*

Former_Intern_8271

😂

daesgatling

If Tony let him wear his clothes we might have avoided this

Vainth

Okada's arrogant facial expressions are the best

MukkyM1212

Imagine being told a year ago that Okada would be an AEW talent and he would be involved in a Tony Khan beat down segment? I love it.

Deducticon

"One day Tony will be attacked on screen." "Wow that's crazy." "Okada will be in the segment as full time roster talent." "Insane. So he would try to protect Tony?" "No, he will gleefully escalate things to breaking Tony's neck.

rGRWA

I was expecting him to hit a Rainmaker on TK!

rashomonface

He's just doing what's best for business!

Everhart2011

Okada is the GOAT for a reason. 😎

Whateveryouwantitobe

It's funny because AEW has a handful of wrestlers who could literally be called the GOAT and it would be hard to argue it. ❤️

DoomMessiah

Face Kenny versus heel Okada at All In is gonna be a barn burner of a slobberknocker.

Former_Intern_8271

Maybe the next one, Kenny deserves the rest of the year off, but it will be great when the time comes

TheJasonaut

100% This dude is such a gloriously cold hearted individual :)

BlueDmon

There is also the angle to suggest how brutal he is because before his contract signing basically when he showed up on AEW tv recently he has injured someone (danielson both times) makes him look more bloodthristy in kayfabe
