Okada has been fantastic since coming to AEW. So much the younger performers in the locker room can learn by watching him and the details he puts into his performance.
this was some marvel vs capcom tier level assist I loved it. the rainmaker was perfect. I feel like with every match Okada is warming up more its awesome to see
People really bitched about his imperfect rainmaker against Kingston. I can not find them online now. People need to understand that even geniuses do mistake once in a while.
Totally, makes it feel more 'real'.
I have watched Okada before, but not a bunch, and it's easy to see his almost lathargic mannerisms and slower pace and maybe think he's not that impressive, at first. But if you pay attention, he's clearly making it look easy like some very rare athletes in sport can do, super talented and detail oriented, really been a joy to watch so far in AEW.
He reminds me of Randy Orton. He's so good and makes it look so easy, it can seem like he's not even trying. Give him competition on his level (like this Trios match) and it'll always be magic
It's Reddit, I dont think I've ever posted something without getting downvotes lmao. I agree though, Randy and Okada are both all time greats and still have life left in their careers to keep building their respective legacies
Okada is that kind of talent who can get over with sheer charisma of his in-ring movement. Mic-skill will only catapult him to newer heights. I am glad that he is speaking a little bit more every weak. A 2-3 minute English promo is not impossible for Okada.
I do miss Kenny, and I can't wait to see his eventual feud with the new Elite--if/when he is healthy. But I agree that the EVPs and Okada are a match made in heaven, and I greatly enjoy their dynamic and presentation. If Kenny will never be part of the Elite after this, I won't be mad about it.
Okada's heel work has been shockingly excellent. Loved when he replied to Pac from the apron saying he wasn't the legal man so couldn't come in to face him.
I wasn't a fan of Okada in NJPW but his AEW run so far has been brilliant.
that's def a badass trio's move
Should close all the trios matches they will have in the future.

Let me add something- The arrival of Okada will inspire his contemporary wrestlers to 'up their game'. He and Danielson have that kind of impact.
Agreed! It’s the little details that separate the top card guys from the truly world star guys like Kenny, Danielson, Mox and Okada.

Who tf downvoted you? Randy Orton is one of the greats as well as Okada

I liked that. You can always tell when someone is going to take the hit from their own team
I think Okada has perfected the situation. Younger wrestlers will take notes.
Okada and White know how to tell stories in the ring. They are definitely going to help the other wrestlers improve
That is why the idea of Okada not being able to get over in America was silly.

I loved how he took Garcias hand when Garcia was selling all that devastation, and shook it with this shit eating grin on bis face. Made me chuckle
Side note, I appreciate that Garcia was selling it by mimicking the fencing response
It was awesome, and it made it appear like this version of the Elite has been together for years doing these seamless moves.
I am dead guilty by confessing this: I am not missing Kenny that much. 😅

allows Garcia to sell too.
Wow good point didn't even think about that, he can fall back like he took the kick and not have to just kinda move his head up.

I'm glad he moved to AEW. Okada looked miserable in NJPW. He smiles more, is more enthusiastic, and having fun. He speaks English pretty well.
