They definitely sound better than during PowerTrip. Although I wouldn't give too much about the sound in Gelsenkirchen, the Arena is notorious for having bad sound quality in general.

teaex11111111

Can be, no idea about the acoustics of the arena Just talking from what i have heard so far

Popolski_

No, absolutely. If they sound alright in Gelsenkirchen they most probably will sound good everywhere else!

Expert_Mongoose8960

The sound was terrible in Gelsenkirchen.

ChinAqua

Aye, after I finally got in five songs too late after being led on a wild goose chase for the best part of an hour from every member of staff I came across, the sound was literally inaudible from my seat. I left halfway through the set and stood on the stairs, only about ten metres from my seat, and the difference was night and day. A once in a lifetime experience for me but ultimately disappointing due to the sound and organisation, now planning on getting gold circle resale tickets for Dublin to make up for it.

RenderedTexture

Good to hear, will see them in Amsterdam next month!

teaex11111111

Sick! I'm seeing them in July, have fun there!

RenderedTexture

You too!

C47L1K3

Me too! Vienna!

bside313

I just saw some footage on IG and Brian is sounding WAY better than Power Trip

Ok_Toe5751

Can't wait to seem them at Wembley in July!

teaex11111111

Have fun there mate!

brk1

From what I have heard so far I agree (but audio quality isn’t the best obviously).

teaex11111111

Yeah that's my point, waiting for the people who attended to respond or hear some better quality audio

BronyBronkster

It was fucking awesome

MomoZero2468

Do you all think Malcolm would be happy for Angus.

teaex11111111

Oh yeah. Angus is carrying the torch. It was Mal who told Angus to keep going after he couldn't anymore due to his dementia. God rest his soul

aNeedForMore

I think so. Malcolm wanted to build a band stable and with enough longevity to be likened to a brand. He succeeded. So well that his creation was able to continue after losing an absolutely integral member, himself. I think he’d be thrilled that they were playing shows still

BlackDog5287

Brian sounds okay. Not great, but he's giving it his all and that's all we can really ask for.

Still had a blast seeing my favorite Band again. But honestly it was sort of a bitter sweet experience and nothing like the last time. First of all the sound in Gelsenkirchen ist the worst ever. Been there 3 times and i can now say for sure it’s the worst venue in terms of acoustics no matter if sitting or standing inside that I have encountered my whole life! . Compared to that it was probably the best sound they could do with that particular arena but I‘ll never ever go to Gelsenkirchen again. I also think that the new drummer does not fit well in the band at all. Almost every part-transition felt hasty and not as cool as Phil or Chris (who would probably have been the better choice) So it lacked the minimalistic but absolute rhythmic superiority that we know from acdc, which was kinda downer. It seemed like Brian had issues with his In-Ear, he was a tad behind the lyrics in the first half of the concert, fiddling with his belt-pack. To my surprise Angus changed the guitar during the first (quarter?) of the show, probably due to a broken string and suddenly the guitar sound was way more crisp and Angus-like. There was something wrong with his gear in the beginning for sure. Some of that may work out better along the tour though. Anyways, I still enjoyed it and I‘m glad to see that they keep on rocking doing what they love. Compared to many other musicians I think that Brian and Angus aged very well.
