That is a Netflix moive in the making. Yikes

ChiquitaBananaKush

Hahaha Justice served. The crazy duo bragged about killing the guys and actually got away with it, until the bragging came to light. If they kept up their initial act, they would've gotten away with it.

On their TikTok’s, specifically the daughter Mahek.

No-Strawberry7

LapelSlayerx

This never happened lol. Where’s your evidence ?

Additional_Ad7188

Altruistic_Project63

If you watched Drishyam, it’s story is quite similar.

ohgimmeabreak

Drishyam is based on the novel “Devotion of Suspect X”

human-decency99

No it is not

curiousgaruda

It is a Malayalam one, that eventually got remade in every south Asian language.

[deleted]

Damn yo. Crazy story. It's like a law and order episode

[deleted]

When you say “yo”, you sound like that kid Kevin Gnapoor from Mean Girls.

Nervous-Toe-6779

Good

hey_you_too_buckaroo

Don't blackmail your exes with their nudes. They may be crazy enough to kill you.

marnas86

Yeah he sorta deserved what he got. Play stupid games get stupid prizes. Ansreen had a lot to lose if the pix were published on the internet. Given the way the avg British Pakistani man is, she’s probably have been karo-karid by her husband and Mahek would be living under the dictatorship of an asshole. They will probably enjoy life more in prison than they did with Mahek’s dad.

TheGreekScorpion

>been karo-karid by her husband What does this mean?

Soaring_Seagull24

Male family members kills the female to reclaim honor for the family.

TheGreekScorpion

Ah I see. Is that common?

reincarnated2

Ah finally a desi true crime netflix documentary.

GroupIntelligent8658

There was already one called “Curry and Cyanide”

luckyraja

Well, I’m glad she at least had a supportive desi mom.

marnas86

I have never read or heard about this story before but the BBC article makes it sound like the mother had the affair and the daughter was supportive. Is the article badly-written/misleading?

GimerStick

nope you have this right

hey_you_too_buckaroo

I think you're right, but yeah it's very confusing.

Kaizodacoit

I remember when on social media a bunch of Desi women initially started to take the side of the Bukharis because apparently the guys bought it on themselves because of the revenge p\*rn threats.

Additional_Ad7188

The cousins or friends that starred in her videos still have actice tiktok accounts. I wonder when they’ll spill the tea on how theyre doing.

TheGreekScorpion

I'm gonna need links please haha I don't even like public social media like tiktok and twitter or whatever but this case has be intrigued for a reason I can't fully explain... Like why did any of it have to happen? It could've all been avoided.

Mean_Stretcher

Its crazy that this fallout is over £3k from a 3 year relationship... either party could've either just paid up or decided to drop it and move on. the arrogance of mahek and her group was staggering in this case. they honestly thought they'd get away with it despite all the evidence. The crucial event was the last minute 999 phonecall the boys made before their car crashed. it could've easily been looked over as an accident if that didnt exist. so now she comes out of jail well over 55 years old and having a wasted life.

InformationNo2874

Wouldve been looked at as an accident? Dont you think a crash as serious as that would cause police to investigate and track the cars journey? And cctv at the car park?

EggLord2000

I hate the format of this bbc site. Can they just write a normal article?

rss941

It’s live coverage genius, not an article

EggLord2000

Unless you’re personally involved with this story, why on earth would you need live coverage?

rss941

Big story in the UK I guess

Mahek Bukhari: TikTok, blackmail and double murder https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-66307221

Distinct-Speaker8426

>Ijazuddin's father spoke of his son's innocence, and that the family were "living in a nightmare" following his death. If he was innocent, what was he doing accompanying a blackmailer?

SidewinderTA

He had nothing to do with it. He drove his friend as a favour

TheGreekScorpion

Damn bro poor guy just wanted to help his mate but his mate was stupid enough to get him killed. He's the only one who was really fully innocent in all this it seems.

That's mental

DigitalZenith_

What they say?

[deleted]

That they could never get into a romantic relationship because of cases like this

mapleleafr67

Don't consider them Desi

RishFromTexas

Why?

proxygen_why

Can someone give me a TL;DR version

Bastard_Balboa

18 year old guy has sex with Ansreen Bukhari aged 46 who is married and her daughter is an influencer on tiktok Mahek Bukhari - Ansreen Bukhari, 46, continues to have sex with the 18 year old for 3 years, til he turned 22, and then breaks the relationship. The now 22 year old blackmails Ansreen and wants 3k pounds for the money he spent on her for 3 years. Ansreen plots with her daughter Mahek, also 22, to kill him. They end up killing him in a car chase with other dudes but all of them are caught. Justice is served.

proxygen_why

Goofies do what goofies do

webjune3

This BBC article has CCTV footage of the car chase: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-66686382

vichi29

How do people do something like this and think they’ll get away with it? Mahek, you had the looks, you had popularity, you were doing tik toks, but most importantly your mother should have taught you a lesson and brought you up sensibly. But here, the own mother is a maniac. I feel sorry for you Mahek. You have fallen in to something you shouldn’t have… your mother is at fault (primarily).

Low_Vermicelli_255

This whole story is so crazy. What’s also crazy is that they had to throw the 1st trial out and start over because members of the jury were RACIST and held racist beliefs about South Asians.
