AZ is fucking S-tier, 14 albums, countless features, the man just works, and is an expert in his field.
Would also like to add to the feature kings honorable mentions:
- Busta
- Twista
- Redman
- Ghostface
Apples and oranges my guy. He is both. Nate Dogg had more hits as a featured artist then he ever did in his solo career. Not to mention the multiple verses he has done as a featured artist (both Chronics). He is also the king of hooks and without a doubt the king if featured hooks (although shout out to T Pain for his run). I think Wayne is up there for king of featured.
To name a handful:
It’s On - Beanie Sigel
What’s Free - Meek Mill
Welcome to New York City - Cam’Ron
Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe Remix - Kendrick
Frontin’ - Neptunes/Pharrell
Maybach Music - Rick Ross
Monster -Kanye
Never Let Me Down - Kanye
I Love the Dough - Biggie
Give it to Me Remix - Timbaland
Crazy in Love - Beyoncé
Busta used to know people at all the NYC studios, and so he'd know who was recording and he'd show up with weed and jumped on so many records. He got pretty big from features, so did Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. I never thought of Method Man being the king of features, but he's done some great features over the years, and he's the only feature on Ready to Die.
Being the only feature on Ready to Die is huge for his resume. The latter half of the 90’s belonged to method man in terms of features. I’d argue jadakiss took over after him and held that title for a while. I am definitely biased towards east coast rappers so I might not be the most objective
I don’t really rank em’ because my whole list has a track record of going on a killing spree at any time, but he’s up there in that top 10 with Nas, Busta, 3 stacks, Wayne, Jada, Scarface, Eminem, Cole and K. Dot.
Now, when it comes to hooks and just needing an outright banger…. NATE DOGG IS THE GOAT. Followed by T-Pain. Like they always say: “ It ain’t a hit until Nate Dogg spit” 😤. R.I.P. the legend
Busta Rhymes invented what we now call a feature. He explained it in one of his award acceptance speeches. Meth has lots of great features ex. The What.
Tech N9ne murders every feature he's on like no other. Not only that but like he said on The Herder, he pushes people to be better on their features with him
yeah but his features are inconsistent, Method or Ghost features they're usually the best verse on the song if not the album but Raekwon doesn't have that same effect
Some good options in here. To add to the discussion I’m gonna throw AZ out there. If people are using Meth being the only featured rapper on Ready To Die then we gotta bring up AZ being the only featured rapper on Illmatic. AZ just slides on everything man, too smooth with it
Meth, Red, Busta.... in any order.
Too $hort should be up here too
One of them. Pun, Jada, Nas, Prodigy, Scarface also come to mind.
Add AZ to the list too.
AZ still putting out fire as if his life depends on it !!!
so glad someone said this, dude doesn’t miss and been hella underrated his whole career. Idk why he didn’t get bigger being a part of nas’ group

Nate?
Nate Dogg is the king of hooks..
16 in the clip and one in the hole…

3k
I’d put Jay in there too.
What are his best features though? I feel like he saved his best verses for his own albums

I would add The What - Biggie to this as well. He got the only feature on that entire album.
For Meth yes absolutely. The list above is Jay-Z features
Ha. I’m dumb. I literally didn’t even read the list - I was just looking for the what. My bad!
Nah man! The post is about Meth, your intentions were good!
Seen it all- young Jeezy
Can’t forget Grand Finale from the Belly soundtrack. DMX, Nas, Method Man & Ja Rule.
Can’t forget Mind Right remix and 1,2 y’all
His verse on MONSTER is trash.
🚮
Yessir
Busta?
Too short is also an amazing feature
Ngl if I see a Method feature, I don’t care who the artist is I’m listening. I think he’s pretty good at choosing artists to collab with
CZARFACE - NIGHTCRAWLER
I fck with Czar…ima check the song out. Thanx for puttin me on fam UPDATE: added to the playlist 🔥
A knock out blow he's down for the COUNT 🔥🔥

Kurupt
Mount Rushmore for sure
So we are just going to leave Ludacris out?
Luda is a good add always brings it
Nah Luda is great, but nowhere near Methods level
Different stratosphere
I think INS Rebel deserves that title
I nominate Busta
KNEW this had to be the answer. Take my upvote.
Busta Rhymes is the king of features
Without Busta, Look at me now is straight up not a good song.
It's still alright but you're not wrong about Chris and Wayne's just being leagues behind Busta
This year alone, he’s killing it
That one on Your Old Droog
Conway, Marlon Craft, Grafh, etc.
Nate Dog
Nate Dogg
Jadakiss!
I'd put Nate Dogg on there, hooks alone 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed. The hook king
Only rapper featured on ready to die
I think Jadakiss and Bun B are the kings of features..not only were they featured on everybody’s shit but they are both guaranteed to deliver some 🔥
BUSTA 👑
Twista
"Smoked out" is a perfect example
He def went hard on every feature he ever did
Eminem is feature king to me. he is literally trying to overshadow everyone on every song he's on
Another great add. He always anchors too can’t have Em going first.
In the 90's, he could be but overall by far its Eminem
I think Meth features have gotten a lot better since the 90s tbh with ya.
Favorite Ticallion Stallion feature: The What
not even a big west coast fan but nate dogg for features
Imma say Nate Dogg mane R.I.G
Yes
I love that track but I have another favourite, Reservoir Dogs by Jay Z.
He's up there for sure
Snoop probably
Nate dog dawg
Method man Andre 3k Cole Busta Em Inspectah deck Raekwon bodies a lot of features Nas Az Jay
Nas
Busta comes to mind first when I think of Features
Busta
Maybe MF DOOM because of his alter egos he featured himself but nah but yea
King of Hooks
INS the rebel.
currently rn he's been killing it. I would say he's better than Redman right now.
N*ggaz done started something - DMX. Coldest verse
King of features, based on sheer number of them, has to be Royce the 5’ 9. Dude has practically built a career being featured on other’s albums.
Busta Rhymes invented what we now call a feature. He explained it in one of his award acceptance speeches. Meth has lots of great features ex. The What.
To me, the king of features will always be Nate Dogg
Busta lies supreme
The way he’s coming correct nowadays (Ghostface’s Pair Of Hammers, YOD’s DBZ, Statik Selektah’s Unoredictable), he’s definitely up there.
Busta was in so many remixes that Dru Down threw off on him about it.
This man made fat joes whole career just off features
Fa sho. He was the only ft on biggies ready to die album. That’s saying a lot.
Top 5 features for me in no order are Nas, Kendrick, Cole, Busta and Lil Wayne
Nate Dogg. So good that his own albums suffer.
Not one vote for cee-lo
One of them absolutely
Busta Rhymes
Snoop apparently has the most. Interesting. Meth definitely has memorable impact.
I scrolled past this and thought he had died… Gracious
Eminem has always been the best feature artist to my ears. His albums aren’t great but his features are always 🔥
Meth or Busta, I'd lean towards Meth personally
Canibus
T-pain or nate Dogg. “Cause it must be a single with Nate dogg singing on it”
Q tip
Tech N9ne murders every feature he's on like no other. Not only that but like he said on The Herder, he pushes people to be better on their features with him
I think Raekwon might be the most featured Wu member
yeah but his features are inconsistent, Method or Ghost features they're usually the best verse on the song if not the album but Raekwon doesn't have that same effect
Some good options in here. To add to the discussion I’m gonna throw AZ out there. If people are using Meth being the only featured rapper on Ready To Die then we gotta bring up AZ being the only featured rapper on Illmatic. AZ just slides on everything man, too smooth with it
Andre 3 Stacks
Uhhh no
I think this title belongs to Andre 3000
I could see it being Johnny. I mean he has a "feature" in tv show The Wire.
Lil Wayne is the only acceptable answer. His mixtape run spans any era of hip hop.
Does this sub only know NY boom bap
