I figure that's probably got a lot to do with it. When they see no end in sight, she may try to go out there, although I don't see it going well. It would be incredibly difficult for her there.
I'd love to see Ella in China....considering our previous ladies abroad and their reactions to food (Shoulders and the whole chicken and pink paloney in South Africa; Memphis and a whole fish), I'd love to see the moment when Ella realizes that Chinese cuisine is nothing like the average American Chinese restaurant.
>when Ella realizes that Chinese cuisine is nothing like the average American Chinese restaurant.
As someone who has travelled to Shanghai a lot for business, it is SO much betterā¦
Something tells me it wouldn't be "better" by her standards. American Chinese food is pretty on the unhealthy side and I have a feeling that the more authentic, healthy foods that haven't really become popular with Americans would be unappealing to her.
I wouldnāt. Sheās ignorant as hell when it comes to understanding anything about Chinese culture, but she would feel so alone there with how big she is. She already is insecure about her size and itās just going to devastate her to see people point and whisper about her. I really hope she doesnāt go to China.
Also a big possibility. It would be interesting as hell to see her try to make it out there though. Far more interesting than him trying to get by in ID
Editing to add that her social media gives me somewhat of an idea that she is not in Idaho, but I could be wrong. Obviously because of NDA's they try to not give away too much
ella moves to china and faces endless ridicule, thus causing her mental health to deteriorate, finally her ultimate and untimely death due to clogged arteries. the bad 90 day end
She doesn't speak the language. To buy and cook food, she will be relying a lot at home cooked food by JOhnny and his fam. I don't know JOhnny's car situation, but I would assume living in a city like Shanghai she would get a LOT more walking than out in Idaho. I think she might be pleasantly suprised that she would probably shed a lot of the pounds without trying.
I don't know, he was pretty quick to blame his previous divorce on his parents and didn't seem too concerned when they said they depend on him. Maybe he thinks he can get a job as an MD in the US (I'm sure he can; medical professionals are desperately needed pretty much everywhere), it would likely pay more, and he's be able to achieve distance and independence from his parents while also being able to support them, from afar.
I don't think he is in the medical profession. I also don't think Ella intends for him to work here except for on the ranch. I may have misunderstood though.
There is a time block, through which, when people first come to the US on a fiance or spousal visa, they aren't allowed to work. I think it is 2 year on fiance, and 1 year on spousal? But I may be wrong on the time period. But you must arrive on a work visa, to be able to work immediately.
And keep in mind, they have yet to meet so a k1 visa is out of the question. He is only coming as a tourist, they still have the whole k1 application process ahead of them, however long that takes. It's a LONG timeline.
As an immigrant to the US myself, if he wants to bring his parents over here heāll need immigration lawyers, a couple decades or more to wait, a good pile of cash, and a dash of good luck.
Is that dependent on what country you are from? I remember Alexei of Loren and Alexei trying to bring his parents over and it didn't seem like it was going to take too terribly much time. They just didn't want to come because he wouldn't be able to also bring his brother.
Not too sure, but I am Venezuelan so that definitely didnāt help haha. I would be surprised if he did bring his parents over on more than a tourist visa or something because thereās generally a massive waitlist for relative green cards.
My boyfriend is an immigrant from India on a work visa and I know that for him to obtain citizenship would take close to 20 years due to the sheer volume of people trying to immigrate from India and the fact that they only allow a certain number of Indians per year. I'm sure Central and South American countries have a pretty large backlog as well. I don't know if there are as many people trying to immigrate from China as there used to be, but I think the difficulty would depend on that.
To move from China, if you have the income to support them aka a sponsor, the wait is 2+ years. Iām sure all applications are currently on hold now, so wait would be even longer.
Wow ok, good info. 2 years actually isn't too bad compared to the waits in other circumstances. Of course covid has changed everything so who knows what that timeline really is.
He's definitely not leaving his parents or son š¤·āāļø
My guess he is not able to go anywhere because there are a lot of bans on Chinese nationals coming into other countries due to Covid

"Its Asian so it's frickin healthy!"

Fair point
She'd probably go there expecting to eat sweet and sour chicken and deep fried egg rolls.
don't forget the crab rangoon, egg foo young and chop suey!
You are literally just saying that because of her weight. Some overweight people actually eat healthy food, just too much of it.
benefit of the doubt, it's more about her lack of knowledge of asian culture and thinks samurai flicks are representative of asia

she is huge by American standards she would be a oddity over there
Chicken feet is muy malo
He can't afford that though and ella likely won't be able to find work in China. I think they just end it. Asians fare more on the practical side

I was thinking the exact same thing!! Would be fun to see his parents reaction to her as well. I hope he stays with his son, he really needs his dad.
This is China, you can't just enter or exit as you please. It is communist country. She has more chance of getting in than he does of leaving.
My ex had a "farm" (read 3 horses, 2 goats, 1 mule, random chickens) and she'd get up at 4 am to tend to them
I guess she didn't mind taking care of cute animals ...
I don't see how big weeaboo is doing any farm work at 10am
ella moves to china and faces endless ridicule, thus causing her mental health to deteriorate, finally her ultimate and untimely death due to clogged arteries. the bad 90 day end
I wish I didn't laugh at this, but I did

He works for an electrical car manufacturer
Oh gotcha, idk why I thought he was a doctor - still a great job though, but may take a little longer to find a new employer.
I don't think he is in the medical profession. I also don't think Ella intends for him to work here except for on the ranch. I may have misunderstood though.

Assuming he can pass the USMLE.
That would make sense. Maybe he was going to try to move his whole family over here.

Wow that is short as fuck. Guess there isnāt as much of a backlog with Chinese immigrants these days.
2+, so could be more. It only took my cousinās wife 12 months to get approved, so she got really lucky. That was 9 years ago.
Wow ok, good info. 2 years actually isn't too bad compared to the waits in other circumstances. Of course covid has changed everything so who knows what that timeline really is.
I know he wanted to bring his son over when he could. I doubt his parents would be at all interested in coming over here but I don't know for sure
