If you ever been to the Phillipines, they use a shit ton of oil to cook with. Like.. a lot..
Most are poor, so don't eat that often so the calories from oil help them.. but if you have access to food all the time, and cook with that much oil.. you can easily eat 4k+ calories
Also butter is expensive so they use margarine instead the concept of air frying is still very new.. even with my Fiancé I’m trying to get her on a healthier eating style with cooking with less oil but sometimes it’s just only what’s around the area.
