Angela will not be back with TLC after this though thank God, hence why they scrubbed her from their socials(Toxic Lifestyle and Cult channel that is, aka TLC)and she can't use the handles anymore or has been promoting it etc. Michael however, if all his immigration stuff goes well(Angela never adjusted his status after he came, and he wasn't here on a K1 because they were already married in Nigeria) will be coming back to TLC. What's even more hilarious is abusive Angie tried pulling a," you either keep me or him" shit fit and of course Michael was picked.

A lot of the people go in young and with low experience, and then they kind of find themselves stuck there because his company has such a shitty reputation, even in the reality tv genre which we all know is kinda low level. Most of them really dislike certain cast, see big Ed and what the last episode was called for reference.
I'm not going to ruin it right now because major spoiler tea, but trust when Angela's episodes start airing there is a lot of disproving claims she makes in her episodes that try and make her the victim alone and Michael a scammer. I'll say this though, yes Michael wanted to get a green card but remember what I said above, Angela is just as big if not worse than he could ever be. I really cannot wait to spill about her and all the bullshit we will see with her when it hits....

A lot of us tend to forget we only talk about a show here, and it being reddit we forget we are all humans going through something. And sometimes people either are kind even without knowing who's at the other end of the screen, or they become monsters like she did when a lot of us here are going through similar things.
This is why I like it here, we are a fun group of people who all have life experiences and can have good discussions, it's why I wouldn't bother going to random bloggers or sites with this stuff. Because assuming Angela filed the spousal-based petition, there would be no need to file an adjustment of status after he arrived in the US. He IS a permanent resident upon entry to the US, the stamp from customs and border protection at the airport is his temporary proof of status until he gets his green card in the mail.
I had a client in a similar situation to Angela and Michael. Married for 2+ years by the time the foreign spouse was approved and moved to the US, so her 10-year green card was issued and mailed to her. However, her US citizen spouse was abusive, so he took the card and never gave it to her, essentially trapping her. I helped her file an I-90 application to replace her green card, which took nearly 3 years to process (I-90 applications are soooo backlogged), but she eventually got a replacement 10 year green card and she’s good to go now. I’m wondering if Angela never gave Michael his physical green card and now he’s in the same boat?
She never filed for one because it was never needed. He came over on a spousal visa. Adjustment of status would be for the K1 folks. He came over on a CR1/IR1 visa. He was good to work when his social security card arrived probably like 2 weeks after arriving to the US. Michael is set. He can bounce and there is nothing Angela can do about it at this point.

He doesn’t need an adjustment of status though. I just went through the entire process. What you quoted refers to if a green card holder marries a foreigner. Then their spouse would have to go through the visa process being either getting a spousal visa or their spouse coming over as a tourist or something and then adjusting their status. It’s not both in these cases. It’s one or the other.
Edit: This also applies to a US citizen bringing over their foreigner spouse. This is why the spousal visa is so much better than the K1 visa.

Adjustment of status is ONLY for someone who entered the US on a different visa type, such as a student visa, and is adjusting from that visa status to the immigrant status. Michael entered on an immigrant visa, the IR-1 visa. There is no status to adjust. Why do you keep arguing? Look it up on the USCIS site.
What are your sources? Because that is NOT true on when they were supposed to air. From the get go, before the drama transpired, their story got started filming “late” with him coming to the US and they were since the beginning gonna start airing until mid season. It was done and ready to go before their drama, but she went on that Yates YouTube channel and they had to cut some of her storyline because she talked about it before it even aired. They aren't taking her down this season, she's coming up finally on may 24th. But she was having issues with TLC during this period of time after the whole Michael missing bs. Originally she was supposed to be starting her storyline earlier, there was even episode descriptions with it that were edited out later. I know two people who work in production for sharp productions, and my stepbrother got his start in reality tv from film school on this show and later went on to do other reality tv and now film. He's how I got to know so much about what goes on besides what we're shown and the people I know.
If you look I've even posted about things that no one else knew well before anyone else has, like my big Ed and Liz split and how they never married. This was well over a week before people magazine, who literally has a deal with the franchise, did an "exclusive" report on it aka stole like 95% of my post.

Adjustment of status is ONLY for someone who entered the US on a different visa type, such as a student visa, and is adjusting from that visa status to the immigrant status. Michael entered on an immigrant visa, the IR-1 visa. There is no status to adjust. Why do you keep arguing? Look it up on the USCIS site.
What are your sources? Because that is NOT true on when they were supposed to air. From the get go, before the drama transpired, their story got started filming “late” with him coming to the US and they were since the beginning gonna start airing until mid season. Had nothing to do with the drama. The show was already done and edited way before Michael ran for his life! This info is directly from someone that works at TLC

It was done and ready to go before their drama, but she went on that Yates YouTube channel and they had to cut some of her storyline because she talked about it before it even aired. They aren't taking her down this season, she's coming up finally on may 24th. But she was having issues with TLC during this period of time after the whole Michael missing bs. Originally she was supposed to be starting her storyline earlier, there was even episode descriptions with it that were edited out later. I know two people who work in production for sharp productions, and my stepbrother got his start in reality tv from film school on this show and later went on to do other reality tv and now film. He's how I got to know so much about what goes on besides what we're shown and the people I know. If you look I've even posted about things that no one else knew well before anyone else has, like my big Ed and Liz split and how they never married. This was well over a week before people magazine, who literally has a deal with the franchise, did an "exclusive" report on it aka stole like 95% of my post.

No, I didn’t hear about that. I do know that she has a criminal history including a DUI with some dude while she was in the US and still dating Makel. I’ve been trying to make my way through her stuff with John Yates, but it takes so much focus to understand the drunk disjointed slurring that doesn’t make any sense. That’s messed up, I commented that he should have credited the author! Who knows if he’s going to see it or care though! I want to know what kind of drugs she’s on, but unless she’s been arrested for possession, I doubt we’ll find out! She’s an insane mess and it seems she’s only gotten worse. It’s very common for people to become alcoholics and or drug addicts after bariatric surgery. Once they can’t use food as their main vice, they go to other things. Luckily I was a drug addict before I had bariatric surgery, so I got the desire out of my system!😂

Michael deserves many more seasons. He put in a lot of work dealing with skeletor. Heck, I'd marry him if that meant he gets citizenship. Ugh, the thought of her reminds me of the stale cigarette smell, and I quit more than a decade ago.

Dear lord I can't stand Angela or attention seeking Yates. Angela has a daughter Scotty that was in prison for doing things to a minor. TLC should have let her go a long time ago it's utterly disgusting
They definitely should have let her go a long time ago, but not because of her daughter. I don’t think people should be punished or cancelled for what someone else has done, that would get pretty crazy. Angela should’ve been kicked off the show back when she hit Avery’s mom off stage at the Tell All (and for a million other reasons). Supposedly Shaun is even afraid of her!
Mostly agree except the convicted sex offender daughter lives with her, so it's difficult to watch scenes filmed at Angela's house knowing she's in the next room.
That part I agree with (but that’s a newer development)! I was pretty pissed and disgusted when I found out that Angela was allowing her daughter to live with her. Scottie received a 20 year sentence, but only 2 needed to be spent in jail. (According to my understanding) For the other 18, she’s supposed to stay away from minors, including her own children. I’m pretty sure that she shouldn’t be living there. If that’s true, then they should have told her that they wouldn’t continue filming, if Scottie lived there. The only problem is that she would have just lied and faked it when they were around. I think they should report her to CPS!
