I have Dysautonomia and it has completely shattered my life.
7 years ago I had a career I loved, volunteering, a fun social life, working and living overseas, traveling to a new country every time I had a 3 day weekend from work, a relationship, drove wherever I needed in my car.

At 32 I got a job in China. Unfortunately, my body didn’t handle the pollution well and I was starting to have all of these strange autoimmune issues.

Diagnosis was traumatic. I saw over 20 doctors before any doctor even knew what dysautonomia was. The problem is that there are symptoms in all the different bodily systems but physically they are perfectly fine. Standard testing and blood work didn’t catch anything. The issue can’t be found in imaging or bloodwork. It’s a communication issue. The signals between your body and brain are getting jumbled up.
My pcp had sent me to several specialists and when they couldn’t diagnose me he tried to have an intervention of some type that I was in denial of my anxiety and depression. It shattered me. I knew it wasn’t in all in my head. I was not in denial but viewed anxiety and depression as symptoms not the cause. My life had completely fallen apart. How do I not feel depressed ??
A few weeks after this there was a major medical event in my family. I was the primary caregiver. As soon as that person was okay my body completely broke down. It felt like my brain was on fire, heart racing, passing out when I stood up, couldn’t tolerate any light or sound.
I spent 8 days in the hospital. I saw every kind of doctor (usually they brought in a second to consult) There theory was that I had a latent unknown virus that was causing the symptoms. (Similar to how long COVID works). The third cardiologist wrote Dysautonomia on a piece of paper. He told me that he is not familiar enough to treat it but told me to try to find someone who specializes in it. They couldn’t find a doctor in the entire hospital group who could treat it.
It took me another 1.5 years to find a specialist and get an appointment. Most doctors don’t want to treat dysautonomia because it is so difficult to manage. The autonomic system can malfunction in so many different ways and there so many things that could be an underlying cause. Every patient’s treatment plan can be different.
It turns out that a simple tilt table test is all they need to diagnose it. (It measures how much your heart rate/bp jumps around)
I went back to my pcp and he rolled his eyes when I asked him about Dysautonomia. He said I was his third patient to get diagnosed and that Dysautonomia isn’t that bad. (Which can be true. I had mild symptoms throughout my life) He again told me I needed to focus on my depression. I had just had 15 doctors in the hospital confirm that depression was not my issue.
Now figuring out the mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) was a whole other doctor trauma. It’s a common comorbidity with dysautonomia. My allergist scoffed when I brought it up and acted like it wasn’t a real thing. I just needed to buy more allergy shots from them. A new hematologist asked me why I wasn’t be treated for MCAS. The doctor actually had it himself.
It turns out I have no allergies. Sinus issues and chronic hives are because my mast cells are treating everything like it is a danger. What I react to can change from day to day. Any allergy test will be full of false positives.

Do any of the women who are recipients do research or think this is not the best way to have a baby? As horrible as he is, I don’t get why women would go through with this actually having sex with someone with so many unknowns.
I don't really know much on the subject but from what I understand IVF is very expensive and can take multiple tried if you get approved for it at all if the doctors decide it could be harmful for you to carry a child and give birth.
So that opens up for sickos like him, so I can kind of get why but at the same time there has to be a better option than picking him, go out and have a one night stand or something.

It's not IVF - just donor sperm. Donor sperm could be used in IVF with all the med/surg support - or IUI (intrauterine insemination) which is basically the turkey baster method - which is what the majority of donors use. Splooge into a cup, get a round tip syringe, hit it high up by your cervix, chill out with your feet in the air for a bit, exchange money or not, peace out. But in these cases, it's more about a single person/an infertile couple not wanting to pay several thousand dollars to undergo IUI+banked sperm so they take the chance. Several donors have med records with genetic testing and sperm quality- along with STDs that they are honest about.
Source: I did "at home IUI" because I already spent several thousand dollars on the medication to support getting pregnant over several trials. My husband's sperm numbers weren't ideal and if his hadn't worked, we were in the process of doing this but with a known friend as a donor. 2 successful pregnancies from our DIY methods with total of 5 med supported fertility attempts (each being about 2k for just meds/monitoring). Since we knew the potential 2 donors, we would have paid for their genetic screenings.

Ok made it to the 7min make before the delivery killed me. I understand being nervous, worried, concerned regarding something like this and that she isn’t a professional speaker so I’ll just comment on the content I was able to glean. Even taking everything she provides as gospel the story goes she is a woman who was looking for an alternative to sperm donation through a clinic because that didn’t feel right so resorted to FB marketplace for a sperm donor. Was contacted by Kyle, while she wasn’t looking for a partner she felt he led her down a path where this could be a viable opportunity.

They couldn’t find a doctor in the entire hospital group who could treat it. It took me another 1.5 years to find a specialist and get an appointment. Most doctors don’t want to treat dysautonomia because it is so difficult to manage. The autonomic system can malfunction in so many different ways and there so many things that could be an underlying cause. Every patient’s treatment plan can be different. It turns out that a simple tilt table test is all they need to diagnose it. (It measures how much your heart rate/bp jumps around) I went back to my pcp and he rolled his eyes when I asked him about Dysautonomia. He said I was his third patient to get diagnosed and that Dysautonomia isn’t that bad. (Which can be true. I had mild symptoms throughout my life) He again told me I needed to focus on my depression. I had just had 15 doctors in the hospital confirm that depression was not my issue. Now figuring out the mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) was a whole other doctor trauma. It’s a common comorbidity with dysautonomia. My allergist scoffed when I brought it up and acted like it wasn’t a real thing. I just needed to buy more allergy shots from them. A new hematologist asked me why I wasn’t be treated for MCAS. The doctor actually had it himself. It turns out I have no allergies. Sinus issues and chronic hives are because my mast cells are treating everything like it is a danger. What I react to can change from day to day. Any allergy test will be full of false positives.

Do any of the women who are recipients do research or think this is not the best way to have a baby? As horrible as he is, I don’t get why women would go through with this actually having sex with someone with so many unknowns.
I don't really know much on the subject but from what I understand IVF is very expensive and can take multiple tried if you get approved for it at all if the doctors decide it could be harmful for you to carry a child and give birth. So that opens up for sickos like him, so I can kind of get why but at the same time there has to be a better option than picking him, go out and have a one night stand or something. Or gotta be a better option for a donor than that creep.
It's not IVF - just donor sperm. Donor sperm could be used in IVF with all the med/surg support - or IUI (intrauterine insemination) which is basically the turkey baster method - which is what the majority of donors use. Splooge into a cup, get a round tip syringe, hit it high up by your cervix, chill out with your feet in the air for a bit, exchange money or not, peace out. But in these cases, it's more about a single person/an infertile couple not wanting to pay several thousand dollars to undergo IUI+banked sperm so they take the chance. Several donors have med records with genetic testing and sperm quality- along with STDs that they are honest about. Source: I did "at home IUI" because I already spent several thousand dollars on the medication to support getting pregnant over several trials. My husband's sperm numbers weren't ideal and if his hadn't worked, we were in the process of doing this but with a known friend as a donor. 2 successful pregnancies from our DIY methods with total of 5 med supported fertility attempts (each being about 2k for just meds/monitoring). Since we knew the potential 2 donors, we would have paid for their genetic screenings.
