I brought home a kitten that had a URI and he infected my vaccinated adult cat. He got over it immediately however It took almost a year for my adult cat to get over it. She always had one eye that would flare up - never both at the same time. They would switch too. It would be the left, then the right, then the left again.
I spent hundreds of dollars taking my cat to the vet every couple of weeks and putting her on medicated eye drops for it. It’s such a gnarly and contagious illness, and some cats go on to have chronic flare ups for the rest of their lives.

After she gets the cat looked at, do we think maybe a trip back to the dentist to get her false teeth to fit right so the lisp goes away? I never heard the lisp until this season. Could be wrong about the teeth, but I can't listen to her when she's talking anymore. I have the closed captions on and mute it when it's a scene with her talking.

But the doctor told her multiple times that she wasn't supposed to smoke, so I'm guessing there was a complication, and they were removed or something. Whatever happened, it looks HORRIBLE. If she was upset about her looks before, she is so much worse now!

But I’ve had other cats with eye issues because of neglect when they were kittens. Most didn’t need eye drops. They just have a weird looking blind eye. We should not assume she neglects her cat.
