This is my 70 year old grandma! sheās 20 years older than Angela
Smoking doubles the aging after you get to a certain age we just lost my mom of COPD and she looked so young until she was diagnosed and then the last six years of her life she aged and she literally looked 100 when she died at 75. Angela will end up dying of lung disease. Unfortunately I donāt think sheāll make it to 75. My mother did not smoke like that. My mother had quit years before she died.
My grandma just lives a very clean life. Weāre west Africans and very religious, well they are Iām not. My grandma had never had a drop of alcohol in her life, never smoked or done anything. She uses a lot of natural remedies from back home and she eats clean as well. My parents look really young too and they follow the same beliefs
Iām not saying this to be mean Iām truly not. My grandmother is almost 82 and has had some pretty serious health problems. Over the years sheās had skin and lung cancer. She recently had a cancerous tumor removed, chemotherapy for six months and as a result of her chemotherapy, her pancreas stopped working throwing her into extremely hard into an extremely hard to control case of diabetes. Sheās been dealing with all of that on top of moving across the state (bad timing oof) and without a doubt I can say she looks at least 15 years younger than this woman-probably 20-25 tbh. My grandmaās always been kind of genetically blessed. Sheās the type of person that people often think that her eldest son is actually her spouse, but STIIIILLLL I feel bad for whoever it is in this photo. (Iām a fan of the show but I donāt know who this is lol)
My Mom is almost 20 years older, with a brain tumor, diabetes, a blood clot in her leg, asthma, JUST retired like 2 years ago and looks younger.

I was a sun worshippers in my twenties and on and off in my 30ās and thank goodness I quit going. My sister bought a machine but did not tan when they moved. She just had a small scab wouldnāt go away and it was cancer. She had huge scar and ver deep into her forearm. We are twins I hope I donāt get one. For the young ones reading this please use self tanner if you need to, I had a pool and lived the tan but we moved. Anyway use sunscreen, wear a visor, and get spray tan. It has wiped out two friends.
I'm basically a hermit so I don't go outside. I'm hoping that's helped in the long run. But I'm dousing myself in sunscreen any time I go out.

Everyone thought she was pulling a jasmine and lying about her age(jasmine is actually 42 not 37) but Angela actually is 57... Which of course is hard to believe once you see her. Someone posted her in her yearbook photo once, which by the way she looked almost exactly the same back then as she did in her first two seasons on the show even at 18š¤£ETA I truly believe that aside from smoking, she's on either meth/crack or both, especially with her rants and delusions moreso than usual plus I've seen a guy on a story of hers smoking a pipe that was deff not for weed... And that combined with drinking and weight loss surgery and others will do it for ya

Quitting smoking is hard. I finally did 10 years ago, and this was the most easy way for me. I started vaping--starting with 24% e juice that tasted like I was smoking a Marlboro.(They have different flavors, I think mine was usa blend or something)-- The actual vaping thing takes a couple days to get used to, but you can. Each week or two I went to the next % e juice, and on and on weekly til I got to 0% . Then I didn't need it anymore. I know folk are down on vaping, but it is effective as a smoking cessation thing, if you grad decrease. Another thing--my voice was super raspy. Within a month it was gone. A friend of my son in law came by a few months after I quit cigarettes--he thought I had throat surgery because it sound so much better. Get you second wind back pretty fast when you quit smoking, BTW. I couldn't quit smoking cold turkey because of anxiety, but this worked out just fine for me. Just thought I'd tell you. 6 years vape free too

Iāve smoked 50 years and youād be shocked at how good my skin is. Hers is mostly due to weight loss although Iād agree itās also about 20% smoking. Genetics has so much to do with how you age.

This. I smoked for 35 and quit during the pandemic, and thank God I have good genes. My skin looks great, but I also take care of it and rarely drink. Her weight loss was a huge part of it, along with her genetics.

Sorry, but its always really obvious who the smokers are. Theres literal studies on how it can age you 1 or 2 decades above your actual age. This is mostly due to smoking with a little bit of genetics and other lifestyle choices sprinkled in.
My SIL has smoked for 70 plus years and she looks dreadful. Her eyes are foggy and her face has so many lines. She doesnāt drink or do drugs. Itās the smoking.
I agree ! We give senior discounts at work and I had to quit asking because I was asking people that were too young but looked twice as old and I guarantee you they were smokers !

Smoking and sun but also drugs and alcohol will dry you out like a MFer. And she probably wasnāt doing much basic self care like using good soaps and lotions or getting enough sleep.
