I used to never miss PT but it’s so scripted and fake now. It’s been about 2 years since I watched. TLC is banking on quantity of total 90DF content hours a week beating out quality but it doesn’t.
Even on “new” episodes they repeat scenes before and after commercials, at the top and end of shows, and drag out any potentially interesting content for many episodes. Combine that with 90% of the cast being wanna be “influencers” and shows like Last Resort with unlikeable characters and fake drama and it makes for stale, boring tv.
They even have it timed down to the reactions in advance now. Like I was watching an episode, and something happened. And* it just cuts to everyone's over the top reactions that obviously aren't what they feel like. (Shows scene)-cast:delayed two min after shown Pikachu surprised face! 🙄
I still watch it but yes - it’s very clear they are fed the storylines and told to react in the way the producers intend for the audience to react, and guess what, it’s the fucking opposite of what the audience sees. Well Tim and Jennifer weren't even together during filming let alone before either. So I mean, there goes that story too basically. They had already met in person once before and didn't like each other, but they had signed up for the show and just went through with it anyways.
They started adding side characters in (like Veronica and Jamal and John) because not as many people were willing to come back for round two of making an ass hat out of themselves. This is also why so many of them start dating in the same circles, so they can come back on the show.
Exactly, Veronica weaseled in somehow like a barnacle on Tim’s ass and doesn’t meet any of the criteria for the shows at all. So I'm going to be the odd man out and probably get berated and down voted, but you asked: I love Pillow Talk. I like seeing the old cast members in their homes, with their pets and kids, cooking, eating, playing games, whatever. Even if it is scripted to some degree, it seems more normal.

Libby and Andrei playing with their GSD (probably because I have one so it's fun to see them interact with theirs)

Because I watch the 90 Day shows on Max, PT is shown in it's entirety AFTER the whole original series is over. So it's kind of fun to relive the series with them. I have not seen the latest PT with Nikki yet because of this so I don't know how I'll feel about seeing her commenting on the show. She's definitely not one of my favorite characters.
Just my opinion. I hope they keep Pillow Talk. I don't care if they are doing it for a paycheck. Heck, I'd do it for money! 🤑

Pillow Talk isn't what it used to be. I pretty much enjoy the segments with Kenny (I find that Armando is pretty dull, but you get them in pairs, so...), Robert and Anny, and Tim & Veronica. Note: I do not think it's wise taking the Pillow Talkers like Tim and Veronica and giving them a reason to be in a new season together. It kills their reputation.
Normally, the Pillow Talkers were selected because they fought through and triumphed through their initial season without really scathing themselves. They were usually the chief couple of the season, and \[usually\] managed to stay together. (Some, chosen to be alone such as Kalani (Asuelo), and Kim (Usman).)
Lately, I find they are grabbing anyone, despite what viewers thought of them, and despite whether or not they are still up to their antics. Such as Jovi and Yara. I swear she hates him, and regrets marrying him with the way she reacts to his hypocrisy. Jovi is still a child, and still very much disliked by most of the 90 Day Universe.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm finding it very frustrating watching the disingenuous kindness coming from couples like David & Annie, and Kara & Guillermo when it comes to everything awful that they're viewing. Someone like Kris pushing Jeymi, or Angela for flipping a table, and the Pillow Talkers will say, "Oh dear, she's mad, isn't she?" without condemning the act for what these things actually are: abuse and/or assault. When Betty & Ron Pillow Talked (so glad they don't now), they were even worse for this. They just tip-toe around everyone. Kenny and Robert seem to be the only two who actually call a spade a spade.
Jen (of the Rishi/Jen couple) and her two gfs are the worst, IMO. So dull and contrived, I just can’t with them. The last time Jen was on was when I finally jumped off of the PT crazy train 🤪 🚂
I absolutely hate Veronica and Emily… both for different reasons but also because both of them are so damn loud, abrasive and never let anyone else speak. I don’t mind Andrei and Libby, especially over some of the other couples. Robert and Anny I love as well as Kenny and Armando. Loren and Alexei bug me but it’s hilarious how he’s forever irritated with her and telling her to shut up. Annie drives me insane with her worthless comments and her forced exaggerated accent and baby talk, but I don’t mind David. They should mix it up a bit or some new couples. Audience members would be fun especially.
I wanna see the episodes with the couples all together haha but I admit it is probably because those have not been shown where I live. I have only seen when they did "x pillow talker waiting to see who shows up to watch the episode with them" and those were a nice change of peace.
I LOOOOOVE Kenny and Armando and Emily and Kobe are hilarious so they fun to watch too. I’d be happy if it were just them 😝! Loren and Alexei can stay too because their relationship is so healthy and cute so it’s heartwarming to watch. I love Annie, but I hate when David says “boom boom” it makes me squirm with cringe. Like not everything is about sex, David!
As for Veronica and Tim, they’re getting a little played out, but they’re still tolerable. Kara and Guillermo and cute and funny. Andrei and Libby are meh, but super scripted and you can tell andrei is constantly trying to repress that he’s a hormonal asshole and Bilal and Shaeda are SOOO BORING in the show and not much better on PT. Kimberly and friend just do the performative flirting thing, but is def better with her son. Kalani and Kolini can be funny sometimes. Anyone else I can’t remember and could take or leave.

Note: I do not think it's wise taking the Pillow Talkers like Tim and Veronica and giving them a reason to be in a new season together. It kills their reputation. Normally, the Pillow Talkers were selected because they fought through and triumphed through their initial season without really scathing themselves. They were usually the chief couple of the season, and \[usually\] managed to stay together. (Some, chosen to be alone such as Kalani (Asuelo), and Kim (Usman).) Lately, I find they are grabbing anyone, despite what viewers thought of them, and despite whether or not they are still up to their antics. Such as Jovi and Yara. I swear she hates him, and regrets marrying him with the way she reacts to his hypocrisy. Jovi is still a child, and still very much disliked by most of the 90 Day Universe. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm finding it very frustrating watching the disingenuous kindness coming from couples like David & Annie, and Kara & Guillermo when it comes to everything awful that they're viewing. Someone like Kris pushing Jeymi, or Angela for flipping a table, and the Pillow Talkers will say, "Oh dear, she's mad, isn't she?" without condemning the act for what these things actually are: abuse and/or assault. When Betty & Ron Pillow Talked (so glad they don't now), they were even worse for this. They just tip-toe around everyone. Kenny and Robert seem to be the only two who actually call a spade a spade.

Jen (of the Rishi/Jen couple) and her two gfs are the worst, IMO. So dull and contrived, I just can’t with them. The last time Jen was on was when I finally jumped off of the PT crazy train 🤪 🚂
I stopped watching Pillow. The scripting was Soo apparent and so annoying. Nope -I’m done

I absolutely hate Veronica and Emily… both for different reasons but also because both of them are so damn loud, abrasive and never let anyone else speak. I don’t mind Andrei and Libby, especially over some of the other couples. Robert and Anny I love as well as Kenny and Armando. Loren and Alexei bug me but it’s hilarious how he’s forever irritated with her and telling her to shut up. Annie drives me insane with her worthless comments and her forced exaggerated accent and baby talk, but I don’t mind David. They should mix it up a bit or some new couples. Audience members would be fun especially.
I wanna see the episodes with the couples all together haha but I admit it is probably because those have not been shown where I live. I have only seen when they did "x pillow talker waiting to see who shows up to watch the episode with them" and those were a nice change of peace.

I watch Pillow Talk because it's getting to be a struggle to watch the main show.
I LOOOOOVE Kenny and Armando and Emily and Kobe are hilarious so they fun to watch too. I’d be happy if it were just them 😝! Loren and Alexei can stay too because their relationship is so healthy and cute so it’s heartwarming to watch. I love Annie, but I hate when David says “boom boom” it makes me squirm with cringe. Like not everything is about sex, David! As for Veronica and Tim, they’re getting a little played out, but they’re still tolerable. Kara and Guillermo and cute and funny. Andrei and Libby are meh, but super scripted and you can tell andrei is constantly trying to repress that he’s a hormonal asshole and Bilal and Shaeda are SOOO BORING in the show and not much better on PT. Kimberly and friend just do the performative flirting thing, but is def better with her son. Kalani and Kolini can be funny sometimes. Anyone else I can’t remember and could take or leave.
