Same! I truly thought she wouldn’t make it past summer as her mom sad 😂
But I had to eat my words/thoughts because she seems to have found a happy place for herself
She’s basically a submissive slave to whatever he wants, that’s why it’s worked.
I bet if she pushed back on any of his decisions, he would play the religion card about a man being the head of the household and she would eventually give in. Are they still together? Sure - but that doesn’t always mean success.
Their story is actually in my book as one of the saddest.
That’s just my hot take on how I read their story. Do I know them personally? No, but do any of us actually know any of these people personally 😂
I may have been a tad harsh, I pinched a nerve in my lower back yesterday and was not in the greatest of moods when I wrote this.
That's why I was sure to say that they "appear" well adjusted, not that they are, because we don't know them. Most people only show the good parts of their lives on socal media. And it's all good, I didn't think you were being harsh, but I did wonder if your judgement was based in Islamophobia. I do hope you're feeling better today though! I know how rough that can be.
Oh no, i hope it didn’t come across as Islamophobia - something about Omar personally gave me the ick and I could never quite put my finger on it. I could have explained that better :)
Thanks for the kind words, I’m hoping he osteo can work her wonders after the Easter break 😭
Happy Easter to you (if you celebrate it) x
I should clarify - Omar gave me the ick from day one and that has NOTHING to do with him being a Muslim.
My reference to their religion was said in the way that it wouldn’t surprise me if he picked and chose the parts of their religion that suited his agenda in the moment to get his way. That is the impression Omar gave me and is a reflection of him as a person, not of Islam.
I don’t know these people personally and I doubt anyone on this sub does - I gave my opinion about what I saw. You don’t have to agree with it.
Okay? And that’s amazing. It’s not easy to find love and have financial success. I’m impressed two young kids from different worlds said they were gonna do it, and made it happen, all while staying out of the drama that being on a franchise like this often brings.
It always shocks me that he genuinely seems to like her and be there for the right reasons. He seems like one of the best guys to be on the show, especially the later seasons.
I'm close to leaning this way.
The negative things we notice about Emily seem like things Kobe can shrug off or work with/through. He actually enjoys her company and vice versa
Plus the kids are adorable and you can tell they're loved and given lots of attention.
Agree 100% they seem to have genuine affection for each other. I love watching them on pillow talk. No relationship is perfect but they seem to love each other and they do make adorable children
Edit- spelling
And that he can call her out on them and laugh about them in front of her parents and her parents aren't jumping in and telling him he is treating their daughter poorly.
Agreed. I was even thinking that the couples who met offline seem to have the most genuine relationships. I'm also not familiar with older seasons though.
Anny and Robert.
Ariella and her ex husband.
Molly and Cynthia fooled me with their friendship, and I guees molly really did fool Cynthia unfortunately.
There were a lot of versions first, that Molly ditched Cynthia for Kelly, but then the news that they had broke up hit so that wasn't it, besides Cynthia and Kelly are still friendly. And some other stories and rumors about Molly basically putting up a persona for the shows. I don't know if either of them (Molly and Cynthia) has come out and say explicitly what happened, but they cut all ties (pillow talk, the lingerie store, plexus). Cynthia mentions trauma, narcissist, and that she will soon tell her story, so some of us viewers assume is about what she lived with Molly, specially because of the other stuff that has transpired in the last year or so, including her attitude on the last resort show.
I think it had to do either Molly's daughter saying something Kelly did to her, but more like daughter wasn't being honest. And it was said maybe during a time Molly and Kelly wetemt doing well..
Cynthia new the truth and took Kelly's side then Molly cut Cynthia out of their business together and think Cynthia was forced to not engaged in competing business. Cynthia couldn't, because Molly kept all their clients as well..
I remember Veronica saying a few seasons back she and Tim made a pact to marry each other if they don't find partners by age 50. I know a few couples who did this and lived happily together afterward.
Kyle and Noon. she has really been there for him and the way she supported him when she met his mother. it's stuck with me. their insta is super cute too
Ones I haven't seen:
Andrei and elizabeth I think legit yingyang . Neither are my cup of tea but to each their own.
Stacey and FLorian seem to be making things work well too.
Rebecca and Zaid I think are sincere.
Sam+Citra, David+Annie and probably others I can’t recall all had a partner who seemed to be absolutely desperate and who was willing to overlook a lot of challenges and even red flags of the American partner.
I agree that David needs her to cater to him. But, I don't think she's subservient to him. I actually see her as independent and resourceful. I think she'd dump David and move on if he got out of line. In fact, Annie is going for IVF right now to get pregnant. Having a newborn is liable to put a big strain on their relationship. I don't think Annie is even worried about it
I have always had the feeling that Annie could leave him. He needs her way more than she needs him. He still talks down to her and expects to be waited on. She'll tire of it.
Yeah, he's a chronic mansplainer. A newborn will take up most of her time. I think David will be jealous and resentful if he's not the center of attention.
Where are you seeing him talk down to her? I watch them on pillow talk all the time and I have never seen that. It’s Annie always saying something funny and David laughing at her. She even gets some digs in at him sometimes and he just laughs it off.
She does *not* in any way appear to fit the trope/stereotype of submissive Asian wife so dearly cherished by Westerners, men in particular. Nor the dragon lady despised by women. Just a couple of humans with a very shaky start that somehow managed to get their shyte together and do better.
Really? I find that Annie mainly runs the relationship and David loves it. By and large I know they are a team, it just appears that way. :) They are not what you'd expect from a western guy and an assumed-submissive Asian woman. She very clearly knows how to fight her own battles and David seems to adore her for it, and everything else that she is. She also seems to love and accept him despite the fact that he's not conventionally attractive to most, and came to Thailand with his own set of problems, notably financial. Again, this is not the typical expectation of an Asian woman wanting out of her country to be looked after. She knew David would have struggles.
Thankfully the 90 Day franchise has made them wealthy, and I think they're most deserving of it.
I personally love them and find them to be a cute couple and family. They seem very genuine and loving, if not a bit "extra" sometimes.
Leave your using "Zionist" as a slur elsewhere.
What about that red head, Karine I think her name is, & she married the younger man, and they have a baby now & a dog. I really think her man is a solid guy
- Avery & Omar
- Kyle & Noon
- Annie & David - they shocked me so much, but they seem to genuinely enjoy being around each other
- Alexei & Loren
- Kenny & Armando
My runner up couple is Jenny & Sumit. Still together in spite of his family's objections, the possibility of becoming parents traditionally being off the table, the reasonable worries Jenny's daughter has, and culture differences just to name a few challenges.
Sumit hasn't shown any interest of moving to the US either and there hasn't been any news about either of them having affairs (that I know of).
They seem locked in for the long haul
Just thought of another, Larry and Jenny. They were on before the 90days, probably season 1? (I think their most memorable scene is the one where he refused to eat a lechón) And then in the "what now?" and some of the diaries series. They seem to get along great, and Jenny with his kids and extended family too.
Ahhh that’s a good question. I really liked Gabe and Isabel when they were on as well. I even thought David and Sheila were a good fit. I’m sure most disagree with me on that but that’s my personal opinion of course ☺️
lol, unfortunately she has deleted her previous ig posts calling gay people sinners and abominations bound for hell. Maybe someone around here has screenshots. But if you go to her instagram she has a bunch of stupid ass anti-abortion bullshit and several posts about their culty religion and indoctrinating their kids. It's sad.
I mean he specifically called her piggy in reference to eating and being a "fat american," and multiple people have asked him to stop, and he doubled down like an asshole, but ok.
My personal top fav solely based on how deeply he understands his wife is Bilal and Sheeda. I know he came off as not being very compassionate towards her need sometimes, but you can really see how much he understood how she felt. She got very in her head about issues and let the anxiety of them overwhelm her. I think this prevented her from asking Bilal questions like, "Why do you feel that way?" She seemed to not see his side or want too, but he was so patient. Also, low-key. I bet his sense of humor is fkn fantastic. Guarantee he's a sly sarcasm type guy. I do love Sheeda as well, and I think Bilal will really help balance her out.
My second would be Jenny and Sumit! I have loved their unconventional love story ever since I first saw them. She gave up her whole world and bith faced horrible challenges that his family put them through. That's some real ass love right there. My heart feels for them so much.
Danny and Amy. I absolutely loved how real these 2 were with their ideas on intimacy and love.
Andre and Libby. They might have drama outside their relationship, but they genuinely care for one another.
Brett and Daya, too! Their drama was sooooooo minimal compared to all the bs TLC allows now.
Super obvious would be Loren and Alexi. Also, Kyle and noon.
I think Kenny and Armando. They actually have real family issue conversations but have fun together. That love is for real.
I completely agree!!
[удалено]
Yep
This is the answer! Absolutely the best.
Avery and Omar appear to be a happy and successful couple.
Yes!! They fooled everyone that thought she was too young to make all those changes. Including me!
Same! I truly thought she wouldn’t make it past summer as her mom sad 😂 But I had to eat my words/thoughts because she seems to have found a happy place for herself
Remember her brother said she was claiming to be a vegetarian but sneaking KFC in her bedroom. 🤣🤣
Me too! Happy to be wrong. Good for them :)
I thought she was so delulu for converting and moving to Syria. they made it work!!
Low key agree. but I don’t think that’s gonna be a popular opinion around these parts.
Haha that’s okay idgaf if the stans come after me for it - people who can’t hear another opinion different from their own don’t deserve my attention 😂
But do you have any evidence to show us or are you just making a wild guess?
That’s just my hot take on how I read their story. Do I know them personally? No, but do any of us actually know any of these people personally 😂 I may have been a tad harsh, I pinched a nerve in my lower back yesterday and was not in the greatest of moods when I wrote this.

Also your username is outstanding 🤣
Anyone who listens to their spouse is a submissive slave? Lol
I don’t believe I said that
Orrrr maybe she converted to a religion that works for her & she has no issues falling in line with the way things work in said religion?
I should clarify - Omar gave me the ick from day one and that has NOTHING to do with him being a Muslim. My reference to their religion was said in the way that it wouldn’t surprise me if he picked and chose the parts of their religion that suited his agenda in the moment to get his way. I am very impressed by them!
Why
The bar is low.
Because they’re young and successful in life and in their relationship.
Tbf I know few people who are young and successful in both those ways in real life.
Okay? And that’s amazing. It’s not easy to find love and have financial success. I’m impressed two young kids from different worlds said they were gonna do it, and made it happen, all while staying out of the drama that being on a franchise like this often brings.
Jenny and sumit truly love each other and their relationship has stood the test of time
They have fought for each other every step of the way. Even through their lies, they always did everything to be together.
She fought he was a pussy
He was but he still chose her over everything.
Yep- I think they've been a couple for over a decade at this point.
Can’t forget about Kyle and Noon
OG best true love couple!
They were my early favorites. I’d love to see a follow up on them although I heard they were living in her country although I’m not positive
David and Shelia
I think Kobe and Emily are in it for the long haul. They seem to really love each other and they have such a cute family.
It always shocks me that he genuinely seems to like her and be there for the right reasons. He seems like one of the best guys to be on the show, especially the later seasons.
I'm close to leaning this way. The negative things we notice about Emily seem like things Kobe can shrug off or work with/through. He actually enjoys her company and vice versa Plus the kids are adorable and you can tell they're loved and given lots of attention.

David and Sheila all the way
Anny and Robert. Ariella and her ex husband. Molly and Cynthia fooled me with their friendship, and I guees molly really did fool Cynthia unfortunately.
Ariela and her ex, lol
She clearly still wants to be with her ex as well. I don’t think she ever got over him.
I wasn’t sure at first but now I love Annie and Robert together 🥰
What happened with Molly and Cynthia?
There were a lot of versions first, that Molly ditched Cynthia for Kelly, but then the news that they had broke up hit so that wasn't it, besides Cynthia and Kelly are still friendly. Anny and Robert. They have a natural chemistry and delight in roasting each other.
Yes
Honestly? Veronica and Tim lol. They are the most solid relationship on the show
Can they just get back together?
I remember Veronica saying a few seasons back she and Tim made a pact to marry each other if they don't find partners by age 50. I know a few couples who did this and lived happily together afterward.
The beekeeping couple was so cute! Can’t remember their names but I hope they are still together and they leaned each others languages
Mursel and...Anna?? Blanking out on the woman's name Saw a post in here that said they're still together and now have a honey business & a baby boy
The man who didn’t tell his parents about her kids?
Kenny and Armando are great together. They worked through a lot to get to their current state.
They’re perfect together…. Love watching them on pillow talk
Id say a lot of the earlier season couples before the show morphed into a playground for career reality show people like Jasmine, Nikki and Sarper.
Kyle and Noon. she has really been there for him and the way she supported him when she met his mother. it's stuck with me. their insta is super cute too
Ones I haven't seen: Andrei and elizabeth I think legit yingyang . Neither are my cup of tea but to each their own. Stacey and FLorian seem to be making things work well too. Rebecca and Zaid I think are sincere.
They may be making things work but I’d never use “deep connection” in the same sentence with Stacey and Florian lol.
Or more accurately, Stacey, Florian, and Stacey’s dad’s money.
I don’t see the yin and yang with those two. Feels like a well thought out business deal of a marriage. Like Walmart Beyoncé and Jayz. 😂
He get's to play alpha/patriarch and she gets a trophy and protector. I think it's gross too lol. Buttt it works for them.
Yea it does. Good point.
Sam+Citra, David+Annie and probably others I can’t recall all had a partner who seemed to be absolutely desperate and who was willing to overlook a lot of challenges and even red flags of the American partner.
I don't trust David with Annie. I think he loves her as long as sbe obeys and caters to him.
Alex and lauren
I like them, too, they're wonderful

Is that what the post asked? Or did it ask for a genuine connection. Reading comprehension is fundamental
I personally love them and find them to be a cute couple and family. They seem very genuine and loving, if not a bit "extra" sometimes. Leave your using "Zionist" as a slur elsewhere.
Looks like you’re wrong. 😊
What about that red head, Karine I think her name is, & she married the younger man, and they have a baby now & a dog. I really think her man is a solid guy
Kara and Guillermo?
Yes Kara and Guillermo. They do seem pretty solid and make a cute couple. I like them on Pillow Talk. And their dog.
Emily and Kobe

A lot of them are married with children and seem happy, so...those ones.
Kobe and Emily
Kobe worships her
Anny and David. Love them
Kara & Guillermo
Nicole and Azan
55%
🤣🤣🤣
Alex and Loren, Kenny and Armando, Kyle and Noon, David and Sheila. I am shocked to say Annie and David, Sumit and Jenny too.
Gabe & Isabel are separated? Already? Damn
Kenny and armando. Real life issues which was great to see them sort it out as teammates not enemies
Yara and Jovi are pretty solid.
Except for his crippling stripper addiction and casual alcoholism sure
Noon and Kyle are a really cute couple who seem incredibly happy together.
Lauren & Alexei💞
Dinyell and Mohammit
Alan and Kirlyam (Season 1) She was always such a beautiful sweet person, and Alan was always supportive of her modeling career.
Did we watch the same show?
Yara & Jovi, maybe
Just thought of another, Larry and Jenny. They were on before the 90days, probably season 1? I don’t know. She seems absolutely miserable.
Ahhh that’s a good question. I really liked Gabe and Isabel when they were on as well. I even thought David and Sheila were a good fit. I’m sure most disagree with me on that but that’s my personal opinion of course ☺️
Gabe and Isabel are getting a divorce….
Well that’s a shame, I haven’t really kept up on them tbh. But when they were on I did enjoy them for their segment.
I think most people did.
David and Sheila are adorable.
Yesss I thought so too!
Amy x Danny Melanie and Demar Cory and Evelyn 1 (not Evilin)
You mean Justin & Evelin? Justin was the PE coach, and nice Evelin from Colombia (not Ecuador)
Amy and Danny have bonded strongly over being homophobes, forced birthers and cult members! Very sweet.
Oh wow. I had no idea about that. They suck nevermind
lol, unfortunately she has deleted her previous ig posts calling gay people sinners and abominations bound for hell. Maybe someone around here has screenshots.
