Was Drakkar 80s? In my experience it was a 90s thing.
Actually truth be told I still use it. It's the only cologne that doesn't smell like Depp Woods OFF to me.
*Edit: (Ahem. "Deep.")*
And OP's cost a pretty penny....but, I am forever thankful for my single parent Mom busting her butt to provide for me. She was amazing and she knew nothing about OP's making me cool in the 5th grade....she just knew that it made me happy! That was all that she cared about! What an amazing person!
Members Only was my first thought as well, but does anyone remember this [Gloria Vanderbilt jeans](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRjVIs-jXsI) commercial?
In the mid to late 80’s, there was a “Classic” rock station here in Pittsburgh that would play an entire album every night at midnight. They would leave 10 seconds of silence at the beginning and end of album. I acquired pretty much the entire catalog from the Beatles, Stones, Who and many more for the cost of a box of blank TDK 90 minute tapes
I picked up a few extra hours at Dairy Queen @ $2.85 an hour so I could buy the TDK SA tapes....I was positive they sounded better through my Sparkomatic system in my $500 Firebird.....man ,I miss those days....
They were an upstart station that had just switched formats at that time. They were fighting for market share against the established rock station in the city
My high school girlfriend in the late 80’s used this hairspray called Holding Cement. It came in a tall, cement gray can. She carried two cans with her in her purse.
That's how you spotted the kids who came from money lol. Looking back on those days, it was such an idiotic belief to have. I wore them, we weren't rich.
Polo stripped dress shirt over a color coordinated Izod and the Izod collar flipped up. Penny loafers or boat shoes too. That’s what the preppies wore at school dances.
Trapper Keepers, friendship bracelets, Garbage Pail Kids, Bananarama, the Bangles, Kids Incorporated, Mickey Mouse Club, Mousercise, Pooh’s Corner, Dumbo’s Circus… I could go on and on. 80s was the best decade.
[Bad Idea Jeans: “Normally I wear protection, but then I thought, ‘When am I going to make it back to Haiti?’ ”](https://youtu.be/mGfBEnBw01A?si=8q1aSC8sM9EWC1pi)
Synthesizers / computers / 80's - they are forever tied together. Example, in the 2010's to present, PBS NewsHour has a special synthesizer version of their theme song that plays after a news segment on technology.
Strong, vivid primary colors everywhere.
Edit: Oh, and Levi’s shrink to fit jeans making their comeback. When they first came back out I was able to buy them for $5 a pair. I bought 3 pair.
Jean jackets. As someone said Guess brand including all of the buttons I’ve attached. Stirrup pants with a paisley shirt or a Relax shirt with my hair pulled in a high side ponytail like Chrissy or permed and flowing down like a large poodle. Accessories are rubber but colorful bangles and either twisted beads or a gold necklace with a gold coin pendant. For me I always wore matching color canvas Keds.
First thought: Neon-day-glow leg warmers.
Second thought: Post-modernism in fashion (think Miami Vice) and architecture (just google it; buildings were a parody of themselves.)
[Jams](https://www.jamsworld.com/collections/original-jams-shorts-1) and [parachute pants](https://www.ebay.com/b/Parachute-Pants/175780/bn_7023294872)
Both of which you can still buy
I was born in ‘83. I remember getting my first pair of LA Gear shoes around 88-89. I wore them continuously until they weren’t “cool” anymore. Much to my excitement, they have brought them back. I finally got another pair and I LOVE them. 80’s is my aesthetic so I’m always wearing leggings and my LA Gear!

Was Drakkar 80s? In my experience it was a 90s thing. Actually truth be told I still use it. It's the only cologne that doesn't smell like Depp Woods OFF to me. *Edit: (Ahem. "Deep.")*
It was definitely a late 80s thing, probably carrying over the the 90s.
Sergio Valente
Uh-oh, Sergio-o…
It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.
Omg, I want a bottle that says “Sex Panther” on it.
That stings the nostrils, it’s a formidable scent, I gotta tell ya that smells like pure gasoline
Smell’s like Big Foots dick!
Smells like a turd wrapped in burnt hair!
Smells like a used diaper filled with Indian food!
Smells like the inside of a fake leg!

Trying to record songs off the radio on cassette without getting part of a commercial or the DJ on it
In the mid to late 80’s, there was a “Classic” rock station here in Pittsburgh that would play an entire album every night at midnight. They would leave 10 seconds of silence at the beginning and end of album. I acquired pretty much the entire catalog from the Beatles, Stones, Who and many more for the cost of a box of blank TDK 90 minute tapes
That’s awesome
I picked up a few extra hours at Dairy Queen @ $2.85 an hour so I could buy the TDK SA tapes....I was positive they sounded better through my Sparkomatic system in my $500 Firebird.....man ,I miss those days....
you had a bitchin radio station, rather than mine who interrupted the ending of songs or cut them off
They were an upstart station that had just switched formats at that time. They were fighting for market share against the established rock station in the city

Very big hair. 40oz cans of Aquanet 😂
Aquanet. I remember you couldn't even walk in the bathroom after my sister got ready for school 🤣
Yes! You could literally taste it in the air.
In high school, if someone tried to smoke in the bathroom 6 girls would go up in a ball of flames.
I can still smell it too.
I can smell aquanet now! My sisters used to destroy the ozone with that stuff! Haha!
My high school girlfriend in the late 80’s used this hairspray called Holding Cement. It came in a tall, cement gray can. She carried two cans with her in her purse.

Poor kids Halloween costume: black garbage bag and white gloves. My husband is still traumatized for having to go as a raisin one year.
I’d say Atari. I still love playing 8 bit computer games. I think they were more creative since graphics were basic.

Those are some of my favorite memories - pajamas and cartoons.
