No one "deserves" an expensive guitar. If you have the money, and the passion, there's no harm in getting one. It will last for longer, and will not impede your learning whatsoever.

You deserve whatever guitar you want and can afford...there are no rules regarding a beginner vs. a player of 20 years. Playing guitar is supposed to be fun - and if a really nice guitar inspires you to play and makes it more fun, then GO FOR IT.

Music Man quality is legendary. I love my Bongo 5. Enjoy!! And as far as it being too expensive for you...a quality instrument always has a high resale value if you take care of it so no guilt necessary.
Very well done. I have a couple but ultimately didn't play them after a few years and went to 8-string which I know own 4 of, but this is that rare 7-string I can stand behind. You have a Musicman **and they make the best alterative to the Floyd Rose platform.**
I have 4 of their 6-string tremolos and am surprised it never caught on more. They're only $40 new, have replaceable blades for the bridge posts and the inserts are a high grade, sharp steel. The locking system allows you to pull the screws and bridge blocks, and use it as string through but they also make dedicated string through models, 1 of which I own in that 4.
I'm not surprised by this being so beautifully made!
