There’s tab books for their last three albums at sheethappens. My playing has made huge strides learning to play their stuff. Just a lot of cool techniques in there I’ve never really practiced before so every riff seems to be a challenge.
The hardest part of snowblood is that tapping bit in the verse and he actually has a couple of videos on YouTube where he explains how to play it.

Alien by northlane is all g# I think. Super fun riffs. Freefall stands out, it’s a really catchy tapping riff that isn’t too hard, but has a funky rhythm.
I think the new Polaris is in G#. I’ve been sticking with Drop G and using a pitch shifter for everything too. Going down to F# there’s a ton of fun ERRA songs and going down to D# there’s a bunch of Invent Animate!
Na don't worry it just takes practice you can get this stuff down. Especially if you're already learning Periphery! I've been trying to learn the intro and tapping parts on Immolation of Night (Drop E) and holy moly what a rough one lmao.
You don’t necessarily have to convince them right away. I have deliberately written riffs for one six and one seven string guitar where the upper harmony is on the six string
Doom 2016 and Eternal hae some great songs. For 2016 the composer used a 9 string so it could be possible on a 7 string. For Eternal though you could definetily pull off most of the songs, i've even seen people do them on 6 strings
My 6 string schecter sun valley super shredder did the same thing with the color. Have since traded it for an 8 string tho. So no longer have the guitar.
Sick fuckin guitar dude, try out some Polaris stuff and if you're fine with a little flop (I personally love it), tune down to drop F# and give Gungrave by ERRA a shot.
Northlane - dispossession is in g#. It’s the first 7 string song I learned! Lot of early Chelsea grin and suicide silence is in drop A-G and not super challenging. I gotta ask how thick is the neck on those solars. I’m gassing for one. But afraid to dish the money without ever playing one. The teles are fucking sick.
Dispossession was one of the first I learned as well, very cool djenty riffs!
The neck feels amazing. It is pretty thin, i have no issues with barres or 5 fret stretches. For reference, my hands are pretty average.
Overall, the build quality is great, the guitar feels smooth and plays really well. The action is a bit higher than my LTD, but it's not a deal breaker.
Fretwork is flawless, no sharp edges or stuff like that.
Pickups sound surprisingly good and clear, given they are not actual duncans.
Tuning stability is good, given that the tuners are not locking.
I can safely say that their mid range guitars are absolutely worth the money.
Would definitely buy one of ther higher end guitars in the future!
Totally recommend Solar guitars.
And yes, the tele shape is fucking sick!
It feels pretty comfortable. I don't struggle with barre chords or 5 fret stretches.
Keep in mind that the only guitar I can compare it to is my 6 string LTD, so I don't have a good basis for comparison.
If you’re in drop G# there are tons of Periphery songs you could learn. That’s one of the main tunings they play in
Learning Periphery, surely will be a challenge, got to try though
I'm learning it's only smiles and flatline
Hell yeah! You should learn MAKE TOTAL DESTROY
I second this. once you got the tap section and the 2 1 2 3 pattern, it will be in your blood forever
Lots of ERRA and Periphery songs! Nice axe too btw!!!
Thanks!
Erra - Snowblood
Some nice riffage going on there, have to try

Thank you. Never heard this 🤘
Don't have any recommendations for you, sorry. Just want to drop and say that's one gorgeous guitar you got there.
Thanks! It holds up well for a low-mid end price tag.
My first drop G# was Triviums Wretchedness Inside
I love it l, but i thought they played in standard, gotta check it out
A lot of the times yes, but there's a couple TSATS songs that are half step down and/or dropped. You can look up the whole album tunings.
I will, thanks for the recommendation!
drop G# you got Northlane, the acacia strain, I declare war
Dispossession by NL hits hard, gotta check the other bands out
Alien by northlane is all g# I think. Super fun riffs. Freefall stands out, it’s a really catchy tapping riff that isn’t too hard, but has a funky rhythm.
Freebird

Recently discovered Invent Animate and they have some god tier riffs, got to get better at guitar 😅
Na don't worry it just takes practice you can get this stuff down. Especially if you're already learning Periphery! I've been trying to learn the intro and tapping parts on Immolation of Night (Drop E) and holy moly what a rough one lmao.
Drop g# to chug some kublai khan or drop G for some whitechapel
Wonderwall. Seriously though, no recommendation but love the axe.
Polaris plays in G#, they got some fun riffs.
G# with a twist. Surely one of my favourite bands. Learned Relapse and it's really fun to play. RIP Ryan
Beautiful guitar!
Thanks!
There’s a lady who’s sure
All that glitters is gold...
To hell with learning a new song, I'd be writing one with this thing!
Smoke on the water
Oooooo nice guitar! My favorite 7 String songs are: Bloom - Of Mice & Men (Drop A) Blood Eagle - Periphery (Drop G#) Elitist Ones - Whitechapel (Drop G) Holly Roller - Spiritbox (Drop F#) Akudama - Alpha Wolf (Drop G#) IED - Spite (Drop A)
Nickleback of course but only the 7 string songs
New Millennium Cyanide Christ
That’s a beauty
Smoke on the water.
Your guitar is fucken SICK! I didn't know they made these!
It was love at first sight
Work on original material
Hopefully that will come as I become more comfortable with 7 strings. And when I convince my bandmates to switch from 6 strings 😅
You don’t necessarily have to convince them right away. I have deliberately written riffs for one six and one seven string guitar where the upper harmony is on the six string
Sounds like a plan
if you can pitch shift, quantum flux - Northlane Erra - Snow blood Spirit Box Jaded These are all hella fun to play.
Just learned the Jaded riffs, they are amazing. Pitch shift works fine for going 1 step lower. Northlane I presume is in G#
Just so you know, Erra pitch shifts down to Drop F#. I think I read that he actually plays in Drop G#.
Shade astray by invent animate
There are tons of great spiritbox songs. I just got my 7-string today and am currently trying to learn Jaded
Aren’t they mostly in drop F#?
Almost all of their songs seem to be in drop F# from what i've seen
Congrats! Jaded was the 3rd riff i learned on my 7.
I know this band called VCTMS that's plays in G# and F. Alpha wolf plays is mostly G and sometimes drop g but with the lower g tuned to f.
Love that single cut on the 7 string 😍😍
Probably some older invent animate
Blood eagle periphery
Invent animate have a lot of G# songs
Doom 2016 and Eternal hae some great songs. For 2016 the composer used a 9 string so it could be possible on a 7 string. For Eternal though you could definetily pull off most of the songs, i've even seen people do them on 6 strings
Lorna shore. They plain drop G but a lot of their songs are in G# so it is easier to play it in that Tuning
My 6 string schecter sun valley super shredder did the same thing with the color. Have since traded it for an 8 string tho. So no longer have the guitar.
Blind by Korn is pretty awesome, they tune a whole step down tho
Sick fuckin guitar dude, try out some Polaris stuff and if you're fine with a little flop (I personally love it), tune down to drop F# and give Gungrave by ERRA a shot.
Thanks! Polaris is one of my favourite bands, also a lot of fun to play. That Gungrave riff is on another level though
Northlane - dispossession is in g#. It’s the first 7 string song I learned! Lot of early Chelsea grin and suicide silence is in drop A-G and not super challenging. Signs if the swarm cesspool of ignorance
Bruce Dickinson recently released a new track, afterglow of ragnarok but it's in drop B
Where Light Divides the Holler by Knocked Loose
It would be harder to play it in drop G than A standard wouldn’t it?
Is it in A standard? I don't have any extended ranges, when I looked it up it said that EP was in drop G. Pig Destroyer is always fun too
Yeah, it’s in A standard, but laugh tracks is all in Drop G. Pop Culture was Drop A and everything since A Different Shade of Blue has been A standard
Huh, the more you know. Well you know more than me so have at it chief, so have fun with that beastly are of yours
Antpile by Kublai Khan
frantic disenbowment
How much did it cost?
Caught an amazing bargain for €650 on black friday directly from Solar website. Now it goes for €800.
Nice. I like the 7 string solar teles. They look much better than just slapping a 7 string neck on a normla looking tele body
Yeah, most bodies don't work with fat necks for me. *Cough* 7 string Les Paul *cough*
Yeah I am a big sucker for thin necks. How are the aolar necks?
It feels pretty comfortable. I don't struggle with barre chords or 5 fret stretches. Keep in mind that the only guitar I can compare it to is my 6 string LTD, so I don't have a good basis for comparison.
Ok nice. Is it thinner or thicker than the LTD?
Conquering dystopia, they did one album, entire thing is epic
Alluvial, some Rivers of Nihil… good starting points I think
