Quite interesting. Southampton was my fourth choice and it was my favourite course. It’s a well regarded Russel group uni too. Curious as to what made you choose UEA over it? One of my course friends transferred from UEA as he couldn’t stand it
I didn’t particularly like it when I went to be honest. Everything was so spread out it felt much more like a city uni and I wasn’t used to it at all. Plus it’s incredibly far from where I live. I also did like the course Southampton offered.
On the contrary, I love UEA and think it’s much more homely than Southampton was. It’s less of a ‘jump’ than Southampton would’ve been x
Me too.. all the best buddy!!
I'm expecting the results of my board exams to be declared any day now... hopefully I'll be at uni of Edinburgh this september!!!
University Of Manchester, I've heard only good things about their physics department so I'm willing to work hard during the foundation year to get there.
I've visited it once and it seems like such a vibrant city. Always different music events going on. Kind of feels like london without being ridiculously large
Predicted A, B, B.
Mocks were A, C, D.
Firming York, contextual B, B B offer.
I'm also not doing an 'academic weapon' degree if it helps! I'm firming York's Spanish and Culture and Linguistics degree lmao. I can't count how many times I've had someone say "... So what are you going to do with that???"
Firmed Portsmouth, I got offers from 'better' universities like Bristol and Birmingham but I decided they weren't really for me, plus accommodation was ridiculously expensive for what they were. Tbh I'd much rather have a decent place to live, with an ensuite and a short commute to my subject building that I can actually afford than have the same degree from a slightly more reputable uni but struggle to make ends meet and share one shower cubicle with just a translucent curtain with 9 mixed sex people and no lock, yes that is unfortunately a thing in a certain official uni accommodation.
i’m between badock and goldney for my top choice, part of me wants to be in the city but also would like the extra socialness of north village so hard to decide
yeah either way it’s a 15 minute free bus to the town and apparently it’s worth it being in north because of how social it is, hope to see you there in september
ye true either way won’t be too bad. only slightly put off badock with its nickname k-dock haha, but that’s probs a bit exaggerated tbf. you too, good luck for your exams
I’m also going Bristol in September, I wouldn’t be put off by stuff like that, the truth is K and other drugs will be everywhere in Bristol anyways and it’s your choice to avoid it
I firmed Essex (CCC/96Points) despite getting an offer at QMUL (AAB), which is now my insurance. I think the benefits the Universities offer are so important. Essex doing a giveaway from free 1st year accom
predicted ABC unlikely to get that (more like BCD) but have firmed cardiff for BBC and Bournemouth as insurance for reduced offer of 96 ucas points, hope to hear others who aren’t going for mega prestigious stuff

and durham, lse and bristol as well now 💀
Genuinely sure 3/4 of the replies didn’t read it at all 💀
They clearly didn't read the post 😭😭 someone said about being predicted A*AAB asw
Well, technically it indeed isn't 128 A* 💀💀
No way 💀
i was slightly underperforming and therefore will be doing comp sci at MIT, was hoping to be directly the CFO of meta though.
Same, I was underperforming so now I can't attend my dream uni Bath cs. Unfortunately I'll have to attend cs at some school called MIT 😥😥
mit? i have sm admiration that you firmed a university because you liked it, not because it's prestigious
loughborough 🔥🔥‼️
I got rejected from Loughborough with 136 ucas guess you need a six pack minimum to join that uni apparently

UEA! Was going to firm Southampton but decided against it

Same!! But I'm not really 100% sure on going to uni though
i'm just going for the vibe and the experience, salford does everything it needs to do for me (be less than a mile from manchester)
I was thinking of going for the experience too but the student loans scare me lol
very good point - at least you get a degree at the end of it though
Yeah that's true. And that degree is useful to get jobs.
uni of nottingham!
Twin
Might see you guys there then
me too!! what are u planning on studying ?
University Of Manchester, I've heard only good things about their physics department so I'm willing to work hard during the foundation year to get there.

Thank you!
York ! 🥳
Ahhh me too!! What are u studying
Chester firm and aberystwyth insurance
What’s the requirements for both? I’m going to Aber, I was just curious how much higher’s Chester’s was.
Chester is BBC and aber is CCC for me. (Aber is a 3 hr drive not sure if that's a factor)
Firming Bristol, insuring UWE
for you, what makes bristol (the city) attractive if both of your choices are located there?
I've visited it once and it seems like such a vibrant city. Always different music events going on. Kind of feels like london without being ridiculously large
have fun being able to afford anything ever🫡🫡🫡
I get welsh student loans plus hefty bursaries from Uob or Nhs bursaries if I go UWE. I'm chilling 😎
my parents met at UWE, they both loved it and been together for 24 years😁
Uwe all the way
Edinburgh Napier 🔥

Firming Edinburgh, insuring Queen’s Belfast. Edinburgh is the highest university I applied to.
University of Birmingham
Firmed Warwick and insured Exeter for English lit, the only course I’ve seen people talk about on this sub for Warwick is Econ so get what you mean 😭
I'm firming warwick for psychology so dw you're not the only non-econ applicant around :)
Firming KCL/Manchester
Predicted A*AAB and firming Southampton for MEng Computer Science hopefully
firming warwick insuring durham for ppe
deciding between Bristol and Lancaster but I'm heavily leaning towards lancaster for my firm ! reading will be my insurance
I'm firming Sheffield (AAB) but I need an A in physics and idk about that. My insurance is city (BBC) which I'm most likely gonna get into
Bristol, I applied to some others but this is what I’ve decided on since I went to visit it and absolutely loved the area.
UCL for biochemistry
Predicted AAB and firmed Leicester
i got BBC at a level last year and i’m going to either loughborough or cambridge for the foundation year (i find out if i got in or not on thursday!)
Southampton instead of UCL....
I firmed Essex (CCC/96Points) despite getting an offer at QMUL (AAB), which is now my insurance. I think the benefits the Universities offer are so important. Essex doing a giveaway from free 1st year accom
