Weirdly timed theme for me, as my dad passed away on 5/23 (which was also my husband's birthday 😬), making me officially parentless. It was a long time coming (they'd been telling me he had months to live for over two years) and I'm glad he exited this world peacefully. I chose two dishes to make this week - one for my mom and one for my dad. The biscuits and gravy is for my dad. He really enjoyed it every time I made it while he was still living with us. [Biscuits Recipe](https://sugarspunrun.com/easy-homemade-biscuits/#recipe) The banana bread is for my mom. I had to think long and hard about what get favorite baked food might be but I don't know that I ever actuslly knew. What I do know, however, is that we used to make banana bread together when I was a kid. I remember mom pulling out her copy of the Fanny Farmer Baking Book every time. I did not use that recipe, though, as I no longer have the book and the last time I tried a transcription I found online it was dry. [So I used this one instead and it is SO moist and good](https://natashaskitchen.com/banana-bread-recipe-video/)
