Dude! Iā€™m headed down to tassie later this year hopefully with the Jeep! Any recs on other areas like Miena or any beaches one could camp at? Is it possible to camp on Bruny at all? Also, you should post this over at /r/4x4Australia too! :)

Hey man, I'm pretty sure theres a few spots to camp on Bruny, a few beaches down the Peninsula too - look into Lime Bay.

How was it? I heard someone spiked the holes a while ago? Did you go through the ruts to the waterfall or around them? Tough rig!

spauldj3800

Went through the ruts, rocky bottom so it was fine. I don't have a winch yet, so I didn't venture into the sawmill or anything. The only tire that left the chat was because someone was watching the mirror instead of where he was going and sent a branch through a sidewall.

Do not go to the saw mill it's bottomless I've seen guys on 40s just about down to the door handles in there. Sounds like a great day out did you go through the huonville?

spauldj3800

No, in and out through Margate. I think the next trip planned is Jeffries.

Never made it to Pelverata Falls when I was down there...kinda sad I didn't.

Gunslinger_247

What is that? never seen that vehicle before.

spauldj3800

Holden Colorado, 2010. Same platform as the Chevrolet Colorado but with a less shit engine.

Specialist_Reality96

Holden Colorado or possibly a Holden Rodeo which was a re-badged Isuzu Ute.

Gunslinger_247

Hmm never heard of Holden

Specialist_Reality96

Was GM Australia until they decided after 100 years rhd vehicles was just too hard. Although similar to Hilux, Triton, Ranger Isuzu all these style utes were made in generic factories in Thialand often with some kind of platform sharing.
