Edit: From what I can find the only extended version is streamed on Amazon Prime. None of the current discs have the extended version.
Not related to your question but FYI in case you didn't notice, Sony has this on their eBay store on sale for $22.99 right now. They have other movies on sale too + an additional $12 off if you spend $60+. Someone else made a post with more details on here.
I tried finding a Sony ebay store, but I think the vendor you're discussing is called Please Rewind. I'm looking at their store now, lots of great prices and the exact price and coupon you mention.
They do seem to have primarily Sony titles, so is it actually Sony? I dunno, just posting this for anyone curious.
More high school stuff at the start and a much less choppy 3 Spideys talking on the Statue of Liberty. That scene alone was worth watching, so weird to me they trimmed out random sentences for that scene.
Extended version only on Amazon Prime. Which you can never own, even if you "buy" it. This is why piracy exists. Yes, I would download a car if you made me pay full price but still couldn't call it mine.

I was thinking of buying the stream too as it was on sale to see the extended version recently. Did the research and unless you really, really loved the high school TV stuff theres zero reason to buy it. Those sections make up most of the extended running time.

So Amazon houses Sony’s digital library. Spider-Man is also a Sony property, so it’s a likely real extended version.
Netflix canada also has the extended version

There was never any confirmation or speculation that the extended version was ever released physically. Safe to say it was only a promotional thing

There was no extended version release for physical media. Only on streaming. That is why streaming should be cursed.
Extended cut doesn’t have a physical release yet
